Why would you want to notice Bill Hart's three Canadian Godin guitars on stage? Well, Bill's band is dedicated to uplifting the common strengths of diverse cultures. What you hear in the music of The Bill Hart International Jazz Fusion Band is how they genuinely live their multicultural brother-sisterhood. Bill is Canadian; bassist Andre is from Camaroon; keyboardist Misha is from Russia; and membrane percussionist, Steve is from a remote, not fully understood region of South Carolina (which is in the USA). This concert at The Velvet Note listening room in Johns Creek, just North of Atlanta, is an exceptional example of the band's synergy and improvisation. Notice the musicians' looks of appreciation for each others' solos in the first set; then in their second set (beginning at 1:25:47), you can see they're genuinely surprised & delighted by each other until, in the last tune, you see they're awestruck by each others' improv. The exceptionally high flight of this concert represents Bill's, Steve's, Andre's, and Misha's genuine celebration of the cultural & ethnic strengths that each of us can offer each other each day. That's a pretty cool definition of "Fusion", eh?
