Stunning work as always Dear Ksjusha! Brilliant artistic and technical feat. I adore the way you used sequential images to show movement, and lovely music to set the mood. i know a lot more of the Hesse family thanks to your videos. Take care :)
I can see Alix in both of her parents to a remarkable degree. Beautifully done video /many new to me photos! Thank you! Indeed QV insisted Louis divorce his 2nd wife as socially it was impossible. He oddly decied to marry this lady just as his 1st daughter, Victoria, was being married herself ! I believe he told his daughter the night before her own wedding and wanted her to tell the Queen! Of course being a Hesse she was brave & told the Queen about it.That was the end of the 2nd Mrs Louis .
Actually it was done by Queen Victoria wish mostly, their daughters were rather respectful to their father vote and never repine, as I know. Certainly they sacredly honored GD Alice's memory and took their sample of spousal relationships as a pattern for their own married lives.
ahh alright :) thank you for this information.. in the end this family had beauty, love and tragity all of your videos are favourites of mine and capture the photos greatly :) thank you again :)
I've read somewhere (can't remember now where exactly) that Irene burned her archives. Sophie Buxhoeveden who spoken to both Victoria MH & Irene wrote nothing about their opinion in her book devoted to Empress. May be something about Irene's opinion is written in "Hessian Tapesty", but I haven't read it - only read that it is a really good source.
absolutely, you are correct when it comes to Queen Victoria, however, from what i have read in Ella's journal she was rather distant from her father during the breif marriage... i know Victoria, Ernie and Alix were happy for their father from what was wrote.. but nothing was said about Irene.. :) you know much about this. can you tell me where i can find official writings of this? I admit my last comment was false! i have gotten confused haha!

Alice was very beautiful, their daughters made him divorce his second wife because of how much they mourned for her!
