Luring the standard version would be a terrible idea!” “What do you mean!?” At that moment, Optimistic Twinkie adjusted her glasses and gave the creepiest look she could. “Don’t you think it’s odd that you, by pure and dumb chance, got into this place, Vanny?” “U-Uh… yeah?” “How many people fall into dimensional wormholes like this? Either this is a freak, the freakiest of accidents OR…” “It’s deliberate?” “Ding ding ding! I am not proud of this, but… when I did my experiment, the one that screwed Scarface over… well, I got stuck in this place in the process, and all by myself. I knew I’d never be able to escape alone. And… I have nowhere to return to, like Scarface.” “You (redacted, for sanity)! You got us all stuck in here!” “Well, I needed the help… and you are not even all the Twinkies I brought to this cursed place. Some, like you, asked too many questions, so… their services were no longer required.” Twinkie quickly understood what that meant. “So you intend to ‘dispose’ of me?” “Pretty much. You were not supposed to be here anyway! The others insisted too much that we should bring the standard version.” “Standard version? I mean, I am bland, but what’s with that?” “Your timeline is the original one, ours are forks of your reality. That means our timelines are similar to yours up until one point where you made a decision, thus splitting ways.” “Ah, the quantum stuff, huh?” “Precisely! And even we, the ones originated from forks on the road, make decisions, creating more alternate timelines!” “So… you mean that Hippy Twinkie came from that one moment I pondered about dropping everything, going to the woods and live there like a forest creature!?” “Yes, and the others came from similar decisions you made. They, and myself, are all ‘what ifs’ of your life.” “And why exactly did you need me?” “Well, because we have our flaws, we’re incomplete in many senses… but enough of talk! Hop off this car!” - Optimistic Twinkie said, brandishing a wrench as if it was a weapon. “I made a horrific mistake, and I can only set it right again if I leave.
