Thank you for making these tutorials
You are very welcome. Thank you for watch them. Please let me know if there is anything you want to see covered.
Well done , thank you
When doing the offset have you tries entering a value in directly rather than dragging to the maximum. In blender this often let's you bump up the default maximum and use a higher value.
Hey great video. Is there anyway to get those 3d files of the rings already made like you have?
Well, since you ask. Is there a way to trace a pattern or maybe even a photograph in Blender
Yes. I have not done it myself but here is the procedure. Important a photo into blender as a plane. File-import-image as plane. Then you can use the grease pencil tool to outline your image, clean it up and convert it to a mesh. Grease pencil lines are considered curves. The second way would be to use a different application to convert your image to an SVG file then import that into blender and convert it to a mesh. Hope that helps. Let me know
@@watchesandjewelry That helps a lot thanks
Hi, do you have any suggestions for windows, thank you
Either version of blender should work the same
Hi, the problem using scale function is that we modify all the axis. If we have a project with stones or fixed parameters, using the scale function is not a good idea right? Maybe better with the cylinder and the bool tool function. I just start with blender.
Ther are, in blender, limitations to your design workflow. I’ve discovered for the most part to design the ring( in this case) and get that modeled first then I can add stones. I still have the ability to modify the width. You can however parent the paths for the gems to the ring model and that even gives you more control over the size of the ring without ruining the arc of the gem curve.
@@watchesandjewelry Thanks for sharing your knowledge and taking time to answer.
I was so confused as to why mine didn't look like everyone else's and then realized I only have 2.7. so I'm downloading 2.8 now
I'm so glad I updated!!! this is as easy to use as sculptris!
