The guy I usually play with is a tank player as well so we normally take 2 tanks if the map has them. Sometimes we switch it up and play driver+gunner. I like having a good gunner on Zavod for example when it's a really hard game. Both are fun but it's more impactful to the game having 2 tanks. I'll upload an old round of me gunning with him in the same tank.
Sweet. I’m 53 and I’ve been playing bf4 since 2018. My son got me to rank 100 and I got to 140. I love being a gunner and am just ok at infantry. It sounds silly from a grown ass man but I watch your videos like a football player watches game tape.

AP shell, always use AP. The faster velocity from sabot is completely useless because it has zero splash damage. HE shell can be very good and fun on infantry heavy maps like propaganda/zavod because it does a lot more splash damage but has low vehicle damage. AP is perfect mix of both.
