I kinda wish they'd put like a little cover over the clr cmos button that you had to flip up before you could press it.....
Having a stiff pin is an asset.
Unless your swimming
@@Ni9kye lol 😄
@@Ni9kye nah, thats when its best
Maybe a video talking about the 12VO, and what you think will change with the new standard in the overclocking world. Great video as always, thanks for the information.
Didn't understand a thing but enjoyed the video non the less. Need to watch more of these.
Hey Buildzoid!
I was wondering if you're planning to check out any W790 boards at some point? Sorry if you've already talked about this, I'm not the best at keeping up with everything!
The master does the nvme differently - same or similar as it's done on the extreme.
I'm curious if an M.2 to PCIe adapter will line up with the rear IO slots. It will be the perfect board if those can used as PCIe slots.
Retaining quicksync is pretty nice
Just on pressing play, that looks pretty heavy duty in the first pic.
Hell yeah
Not a fan of the battery under that heatsink.
Love these
thanks to the author for the information, very cool all told).
By the way, I have the same board and the overclocked memory is stable at 8000 Mhz CL36.
The memory is this one - F5-7200J3445G16G [G.SKILL]
Dearest Buildzoid.. all I wanna know is one thing.. What is the god damn hold up on the B650E Tachyon version? Is there a problem with it, does it need a v2.0 or is it just DOA?
Was this filmed before your Intel memc rant?
I really wanted this board but can’t find it anywhere not marked up past $1000
AFAIK gigabyte made less than 2000 of these so I wouldn't expect it to get any less rare over time.
If you were in Greece, I could hook you up.
this motherboard looks sick
not sure if u guys see, but i see some "bend" CPU pin's ? light shadow does indicate it. "anyway", good vids.
Spill the water? Shouldn't you use distilled water that does not conduct electricity? Also calcium buildup in the loop...
This board is impossible to get. Been trying to purchase one for months but it's never in stock. Just like the Asus Apex never in stock.
I wonder that there is completely opposite situation in my country. A lot of offers of this Tachyon board but no decent X670E boards at all.
@@xander0618 can you help me purchase one?
@@rocketr2 I am from UA and I got to check if it's currently possible to send something to other countries. DHL and Fedex suspended their business here about a year ago.
This board is monster. 8000 50 ns no problem.
Is the Asus z790 A gaming wifi D4 enough for a 13900KS? 70amp isn't quiet low? I just want to do memory overclock and full unlocked i9-13900Ks in stock terms
should be
Nice detailed video thanks a lot, i have 6 motherboards Z690 and Z790 where the graphic card wont work no display, but if i move the graphic card to the other slot the board will post, i have changed parameters in the bios running pci gen 3 with no luck, updated the bios still no joy, there is no physical damage upon inspection under the microscope the cpu pins perfect, the back of the board perfect as well no missing components or cuts on the traces, i dont know how to fix them, i run out of solutions.
Brother can I get one for the z790 aorus master? I own the board and can scan it and send you the images if you need them.
I understand its identical to their various other ones etc, but I dont see any reason not to make a video for said board (its the same one der8bauer uses etc.)
afaik it has a ~1300 watt VRM
Would i gain anything from going from a 12900K to a 13900K on my ASUS Strix "E" z690 DDR5 mobo? Or scrap the idea and wait for next gen next year? I'm a flight simmer and I'm even thinking of going to 64 or 128GB RAM because my 32GB is getting eaten alive by MSFS 2020 in VR but also by all the mods to the MSFS-2020 in the community folder. Just chews it all up, I feel that only having 32GB is slowing me way down.
I’d wait
I’d hold off on the 13900K upgrade for now until the refresh is out. It’ll presumably handle higher memory speeds and have slightly better single threaded performance.
unless there's something you want to do that you system currently can't do there's no point upgrading.
@@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking no, nothing particularly other than wishing to have great single-core speed for a sim (MSFS-2020) that is multi-thread limited (but they are working on DX12 but it's just beta now and has problems - assuming DX12 is going to spread the processing around to all my threads of the 12900K). So thanks very much, I will just leave my Z690 paired with my 12900K and save my money then. Much appreciated !!!!
@Dr_b_ I have a z690
Currently using it. 7800 c32 👍👍on A die no xmp version
*stable* DDR5 8200 video tomorrow?
no but with any luck the 13900KS will do 8000 on the DARK across all stress test not just 1 at a time.
POSCAP... POS CAP... P.O.S. CAP - I'm not sure that's a great brand name 🤔
I have a question, i have an i9 13900k, i got 6ghz stable with 1.42v on an Z690 Aorus Ultra, i sold the board cause it was bad for memory overclock and couldnt even boot when i tried a little overclock..I got a new Z790 Asus prime A, was better at memory overclocking, same 5600mhz stick could work now at 6600mhz, but i couldnt get stable 6ghz anymore at that voltage, and if i went over that voltage it would run too hot and downclock...Sold the Asus board cause i wanted that 6ghz back, now i got an Z790 Aorus Master which should be even better than a Z690 Aorus Ultra but i cant get stable 6ghz on this board either, i tried exact same voltage and llc but it would crash, cant go higher on voltage cause then it downclocks, memory overclock is better than my old Z690 board but it sucks that i cant get that 6ghz stable anymore..My question is how is this possible? Did my cpu degrade? I just game and they dont even pull anywhere close to the 350w+ that a benchmark can do
Yep cpu degraded
Memory OC affects cpu OC
@@emini6 Right cpu degrade because he changed the motherboard 😂
@@pabloPL103 memory oc never affect the CPU cores. Remember intel imc flow: memory signals from mobo (vddq) before it goes to the ring first than the cores; memory>ring+L3>core.
Also 10nm intel doesn't do 14nm voltages, so with 12-14gen(hybrid mesh architecture) anything above 1.30+vcore requires sub 0c cooling or below for above stock CPU overclocking
Who sells this in the uk?
@TorchCTI thanks
Any chance you'll be looking at the Apex Z790?
Pls made llc test)
33:33 kHz 😉
I have a problem with this, in recent years motherboards have not enough SATA ports. Magnetic disks continue to be important and widely used for data storage.
You buy a motherboard for a lot of money, and you don't even have anything to connect your hard drives to, not to mention RAID arrays. 6 ports is the minimum, but 4 is already spitting in the client's face.
pcie to sata card on the bottom slot - it's pci3 x 4 - it should be able to serve a lot of spinning disk; 10x SATA costs $43 at amazon.
first
Intell still rocking gen4 ssd 😂
Amd still rocking ddr5 6000 😂
@TorchCTI aight gen 5 ssds are still flaming dogshit 💀
Why do you care if your test bench set up has more USB ports than you need. These videos are for US not you. Why would you review a MB with just 2 USB rear ports? Your complaining on that makes no sense.
