Hi Travis 🙏, a friend in Tennessee is ok,, however no power.. Does not have a generator.. low on food and water.. Kind of unprepared 😞🙏⚠️… preparednesses is a persons first respobility😌⚠️
@@janeywelch9983 Wind, Fire, Water, and more, could take away everything you or I have prepared, very rapidly, however still better to be prepared than not. You may be your brothers keeper or he may be yours.
I’m in Augusta Ga…got hit pretty hard and made a mess of things…have no power but I’ve heard that others have no power along with no water and gas…definitely opened my eyes to the reality of how important it is to be prepared and you’re never as prepared as you think you are…it put some things in perspective for me and my wife for sure.
You’re one of the first prepping channels finally discussing what we can learn from the recent events from hurricane Helene. Thank you! I’m currently revisiting my 5 minute evacuation plan, making lists and simplifying my grab items
That is a real experience. I went thru the eye of Hurricane Charlie when it got to Orlando in 2004. By that time the winds were down to 110 mph. I will never forget it. You sound like you had it a lot worst than I did.
Cards, cash and metals. They all definitely have their worth short and long term. I only purchase what I can pay off before the end of the month hence my cards owe me approximately $700 in cash back. I Leave it there in case of bad times like this.
Thanks,Travis. It's totally up to me to prepare for my family. My husband, 6 adult children, 3 grandchildren. None take being prepared for anything seriously. I'm almost 60, bad vertigo and I can't work because of it. May the Father help us all.
Outside if Augusta, Ga,. So many people not prepaid for even 2 days ! Long lines for groceries gas , ice etc. Hope this is an eye-opening day for these people.
As far as the hurricane goes, let's find a rabbit hole to go down. Why is the German government doing "weather modification" down just south of Barbados???
All I will ever do is hold onto my own values. I have a great sense of them, especially family values. My dad was big on family values too and his 3 brothers and 4 sisters. This is something one might give themselves and practice each day of their lives. That is each to his own in how you survive what the world throws at you.
The weather i was watching was warning people in those areas to be prepared for severe weather and flooding. I live in hurricane country and we take every storm seriously. We also watch to see where it is going after landfall so we know where to evacuate to. We have a written plan and when to execute that plan.
A family has starlink near us. They are the only ones with a means to communicate. SW VA got hit pretty good too. We cut up a tree today to open a road for some of our neighbors. Not much you can do when your house and barn float away. We had springs coming out of the mountain that I did not know existed. With this type of storm, all you can do is prepare and hope your preps will be helpful when the time comes.
Hi from Florida pretty used to hurricanes and for the last year and a half. I’ve been hooked on homesteading and prepping. You’re on my favorites. I look for you every day twice a day another one from Appalachia Homestead, and a few others have taught me how to or motivated me rather Out my canning skills up-to-date, and started prepping praying planning and getting my house in order and I thought I had it almost altogether and then this hurricane hit and I realized I didn’t have SHFT ready I had a lot of food, but I thought I could cook on failed no power 80° and humidity to match. I was calm but angrily calm at myself thinking I knew what I had and could do it then realized I couldn’t got my eraser and my pencil will have to start over with plans.😢
I think I would bug out in that case because I can't climb up to the roof. Just got a landline that hooks into the modem that goes over the fiber optic lines. That might work if the cell phone towers go down.
WHAT DONT YOU GET MOST FOLKS LIKE ME LOW INCOME THAT LIVE IN PUBLIC HOUSING GHETTOS CANT BUG OUT TO ANYWHERE WE BARELY HAVE FUNDS TO EXIST NEVER MIND HAVE 6 MONTHS OF EXPENSIVE ASS FOOD ON HAND OR PERSONAL TRANSPORTAION THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE ITS FRICKIN REALITY
Can you perhaps scout around your area and find an abandoned house or building where you could hide out if it became unsafe to stay in your apartment? Perhaps buy a can of chili or stew once in awhile and set it aside? Empty water bottles or food jars can hold extra water. I know its stressful to not be able to get things quickly or not be in a safe location. Dont give up. Just try to think outside the box. Every little bit helps. Best wishes. None of us are going to be truly prepared for a catastrophe. Even the wealthy are going to have a hard time after awhile.
Prepare, """ IF YOU CAN """ He gets it, not everyone can afford to. But do you want him to stay silent and not teach those that can afford to prep, simply because you can't ? Why are you watching, if you can't afford to prep?
You have internet or a cell phone so you have more than I had when I was poor. I couldn't bug out at that time but I was able to buy one or two cans of food each time I went to the store. I worked my ass off to get out of poverty so my kids would have a better life. I did it without welfare, foid stamps or medical. Rethink what your priorities are, decide what it important and work twords it. May Gob bless you and give you discernment and guidance.
Nature culls out the weak, if not all other are burdened. In general ,most animals naturally produce many off spring. Why? Because Most are eaten are die. I noticed the chem trail clouds drifting East over Oklahoma three days ago, looks like they found their mark. The next storm called Isaac is approaching the same area. If you think it's bad now, it's going to be worse than it is in about a week. The grid in that area is probably going to be pretty much gone for a while. About 11 years ago, I considered moving there for a short time. Then I found out that off grid power was illegal there. That was a deal breaker for me. The kicker is, after another hurricane 🌀 hits, Biden and Kamala won't say anything about it, I bet. I don't know how anyone can be thinking about voting for them again. The sad part is, hurricane season isn't over, and the survivors may have to wait for Trump to get in to get any relief. Hopefully, people will take notice before the election. Also, they have figured out why Yellowstone is rumbling, they think the San Andreas Fault is about to cause a 10.0 earthquake in Southern California at any time. It's right on time to cause election interference of a different kind. Combine that with damage from two hurricanes, and several states included California may not be able to vote.
My niece and her family live(d) in Chimney Rock! They are cut off! Watched homes wash away! I'm ready for whenever God wants it to happen. We are probably going to need some miracles on top of prepping.

Grandaddy called them "wet weather springs", and told me not to build around them. Water is pouring out of the springs here now.
Thank you for what you have shared. For your concern and goodness. Thank you 🙏
