These ruminations (the ones I've seen) are criminally underrated... these are fantastic! Not even 200 likes? That breaks my heart in all honesty. Your thoughts are wonderful to listen to!
Having just finished this game, I disagree with the idea that this game is considered an expansion to AC2. It's bigger than just an expansion. It has a ton of story, and the gameplay had a ton of improvements and tweaks here and there. I kind of see why people may think it's an expansion, but I disagree. To me, it's very much its own game.
I actually preferred Brotherhood over 3. The entire time I was playing AC3 I was saying to myself, "I would much rather be playing Brotherhood right now. It had jumping, platforming, and combat that was easy to understand the first time."
What i used to do were to do some of the renovations then just leaving for an hour, coming back and my purse was full... Then I took a step further, renovated for all the gold i got... Then I went and got some food... I'm such a cheat.
Thanks for your thoughts on this awesome series! I think this is the only one in the series I haven't played (though I have read the novelization of this part in Ezio's story). Hope the back gets better. I suffer back issues as well (mostly pain, and some part is hereditary due to a majority of my family having back issues).
Funny how you speak about archetypes of the main characters. It's so true, Altair being the Thief/"Assassin" type being the overall think things through "leader". Ezio being the Warrior, front lines type "commander in battle". I wonder what archetype you'd give Connor lol. I have a vague idea of his "archetype" but I fear you would ban my a** if I say. Needless to say I do think it's vastly different from the previous two.
i have to say a line from revelations (no spoiler though, as it pertains an event in brotherhood you already talked about) "Oh Cesare i heard him say I will not be killed by man Then i tossed him in the air to see where he might land"
You know, back in AC1 you could also interrupt your combo in order to do a counter-kill. I remember it was pretty frustrating for me when i realized i couldn't do it anymore in 2.
Star Wars: "By going to war at all, the Jedi had already lost." ACB: "The downfall of the Assassins came from Enzio using the Templars' own tactics against them." ST Voyager, Year in Hell: " This is a weapon that can only ever destroy and will NEVER make anything better." I think I'm sensing an undercurrent theme among some of your early Ruminations here, Lore.
Fun thing you might want to try to help with your throat is a thing I saw in the LOTR behind the scenes stuff. Andy Serkis' (Gollum) throat got so hurt from doing the Gollum voice for hours he'd just drink hot water and honey for ages and ages. Anyway, on topic I enjoyed Brotherhood a lot more than Revelations, but that was because I enjoyed Rome a lot more than...wherever we were in Revelations.
Of the Ezio games I'd say Brotherhood is the best, I say that because I never played Revelations. I never played Revelations because in my opinion you don't need to play it to bridge the gap, story wise, between Brotherhood and 3.
No like, I completly agree with Archengeia pretty much all the time and how he speaks is how I feel about things. That is why I watch him. So for this review, I disagreed on alot of things so it was strange to do so. Or the feeling rather.
Is Assassin's creed 2's engine different than Assassin's creed 1's engine? I don't think Assassin's creed Brotherhood is an expansion of Assassin's creed 2 because I think if it was it would be called Assassin's creed *2* Brotherhood. Anyway idk if they planned it to be expansion, is it?
In my opinion, AC 3 did have a rather decent story. I really love 1, 2 and 3. While I still enjoy Brotherhood, I thought Revelations was just ridiculous.
If this had been an expansion for Assassin's Creed 2 it would have been great. However, due to the fact that they decided to sell it as a full priced game rather than an expansion lowered the quality significantly in my eyes.

In my opinion, AC Brotherhood was a peak, and then revelations was a slight drop, havent played 3 yet

AC Botherhood is my personal favorite. It expanded on 2, without adding to much, which I felt Revelations did.
Heh, one of the very rare Lorefanities....as usual I'm super happy about it.

No, NO! Where's the chik-oo??

Aha! The original "Wreah!", methinks.

So this is Assassin's Creed Five, soon to be followed by Assassin's Creed Three Sir.

AC3 is a 10,000 feet fall.
arch have you played fable would love to hear what you think of it
archengeia cold i give you my personal opinion about assassin's creed 3 story because my opinion is different from the ones you have been hearing.

My favorite had to be assassins creed 2
so whats your steam id? I want to just check your screenshots and games you own.
In my opinion, AC 3 did have a rather decent story. I really love 1, 2 and 3. While I still enjoy Brotherhood, I thought Revelations was just ridiculous.
Just wait until AC3. Problems. Problems everywhere.

Lol, you're upset?
They're only opinions.
Care to elaborate though?
I'm alittle upset. For the first time watching you and truly listening........I disagree....
I feel Brotherhood was the worst of the series. I still enjoyed it but its the least important.
For me, ever since the creator of AC left Ubisoft the series lacks the charm and magic of the first two games.
