Hi everyone , this is Chris and Jane we are a couple that decided to leave our old jobs and see what the United States has to offer, and what better way to do that then to become truck drivers and get paid to travel. Come follow us on our adventures.
If I only wanna put the manifold on will the truck need a tune?. It’s in stock form as of now.
Hi I just checked my T680 it doesn’t have the RELAYS. only FUSES for TRLR ABS 2 for CAB ABS PWR and AUTO TRANS
If your willing to try without pulling any I did it multiple times without pulling anything on mine it's kinda scary having your dash Christmas tree like it does but after cycling the key a few times it worked fine. And if you know anyone that wants the bully dog exhaust manifold I still have mine you just have to weld it back together at the flange
was this for a paccar px9 engine?
No mx13
Will this tunner work on a paccar mx13 that has been deleted? Will it detect and clear DTCs?
Not sure if it would or not but you could clear codes
So the truck has the def system still on it with the tuner and the manifold ?
Yes it did
What do you think about deleting DPF system?
I was planning on doing it until I found out that on paccar dealers can get screwed for working on your truck if it's egr deleted because the dealers scan tool sends a download of the ecm to paccar when ever they hook up to a paccar engine. on a Cummins it doesn't do that so if you have a Cummins and aren't to worried about the fines that will come with it if you get caught go for it . I personally only take my truck to the dealer when comes to serious issues so I couldn't afford to lose that asset
@Caro Quintero from what I've heard Kenworth techs working on a EGR deleted truck it's about $10k or maybe $50k and the dealership gets fined $250k I'm not sure what the fines would be for DOT finding it on your truck but I'm sure you will be forced to rectify it and put out of service until you prove it's rectified. But I could be wrong idk of anyone that's been caught with a deleted system they don't drive to locations where they would get in trouble i.e. California and they have independent shops working on they're trucks
They work how a motor should after a delete with someone that knows tuning properly
Did you get a noticeable increase in power from tuner only by chance? As far as pulling hills/ acceleration. Great review btw!
I feel like I fly up these hills now I've been wanting to video myself with a zero to 60 with about 78k gross weight and climbing a large incline but unfortunately I only have a tuned run of the test and not a nontuned run seeing as I don't tend to pull so heavy. When ever I do get a load that's that heavy I will upload it. But with the Dyno sheets showing such a large increase I want to say I'm not just thinking I'm hauling butt up these hills but that I actually am. Thanks for the comment and sorry for the late response
@@AdventuresOfChrisAndJane looking forward to that video! I'm in the process of buying a 2016 pete with mx13 excited to see how it is compared to my ih with a c13!
Dillon Huntington don’t be too excited about the mx13 especially if it’s rated at 485 or less.
@@jimbro389 I don't haul real heavy. 8 car trailer usually loaded under 70k
It's set at 485 btw so we'll see I'm going to pick it up next wk
