@ having a generational gap in age is hit or miss, sometimes its hard for a 30 year old to even have a decent conversation with a 15 year old without it feeling like its a parent talking to a child as opposed to two similar aged minors that can more easily get along well...
I still remember when I got into kpop. I realized almost all idols back then (2011) were way older than me (i was 14yo) and knew about TeenTop. I was shocked and happy because they were the only idols that were close to my age (and still 2 years older than me). I became a fan of them. I know they had long periods of rest after every comeback except for 2012 that was their most busy year because gained strong popularity around the world in a time when KPop wasn't that popular as nowadays. I remember seeing pics of some of their parents helping their staff, so I know for sure some of their parents were involved behind... But I still think idols should debut in their 20's because their voices are much more developed than when younger..
Its cuz in south korea, men are expected to do jobs that are more prestigious like being a doctor or some other high paying job... Plus, there is less market for young male boy group idols...
@@imthecoolest50 as disgusting as it is, most groups with underage girls are pretty much marketed to the male audience. I'm not saying it doesn't happen to boy groups, but it's much more prevalent with girl groups
Probably because girls don't have to finish their puberty to do this job, while for boys it's complicated most boys are right in the middle of puberty at 13-14. Most girls here who debuted at 14 or 15 already looked like they were 17 or 18. I'm sure they would debut more boys at this age if they looked older too.
I saw clips of HyunA (either pre-Wonder Girls or just debuted) and looking back especially with HyunA song talking about how she had to sell the sexy image at a young age,, also now thinking about it the biggest rumor of her being pregnant,, etc… its sick she debuted at the age of 14 year old
And there is someone nearly a year younger than her lined up to debut in the near future, Yoona of Free In Sass (pronounced Princess) born October 7th, 2009. She was on pocket tv from when she was 11 to just after her 12th birthday.
Meanwhile, TNX was Supposed to Debut with its Original 7-Member Line-Up. However, Koki Tanaka-Kun Dropped Out to Pursue Further Training. (Due to Himself Being Both the Only Foreign-Born Non-Korean Asian Within the Group itself & Being Much Younger than All of the Other 6️⃣ 👦 - Who are 🇰🇷 Natives.) If Koki-Kun Really Debuted with TNX Within this Year (2022) the Age Range of 12 to 13 Years Old Internationally, It will Be Very Hard for an Outsider to Imagine What Kind of Pressures He will have to Face from Public K-Pop Fans. (Most Probably Including Those Which Asuka Fukuda-San Went Through During her Less-than-2-Year-Tenure in Morning Musume as its Original Maknae-cum-Main Vocalist.) Fukuda-San's Debuting Age in Morning Musume is 12 Years Old Pre-🎂 on November 1997. Her Graduation from the Rotational J-Pop 👧 Group in 🇯🇵 was Held on April 1999 (at the Age of 14 Years Old Pre-🎂).
That’s why I disagree when people said kpop groups are debuting at a younger age now. It has happened a lot in second generation. It just didn’t happen as much in third generation groups
Just gonna put this out there: Busters are a special circumstance group. They were original made from a TV show and only made for kids. But that didn’t stop grown men from treating them weirdly, producers, staff, and “fans.” Even in these special circumstances they shouldn’t have been pushed and marketed they way they were because it still put them in harms way.
15 is somewhat tolerable (not ok though as talented as they are, Jungkook I'm looking at you), but 14, 13 and especially 11-12 is definitely a big wtf for me. Personally I'm a fan of 16+, but if an idol is more mature for their age, then I'm willing to overlook a couple of months shy from 16. Junghwan from Treasure for me is an example of this. Extremely mature, even more so then some of his hyungs (ones born in '00 even!). 14 and younger though, even if they are mature, they are definitely still not mature enough in my eyes.
I used to think this age is understandable, cause I remember when I was 14 to 15 years old, I was very capable of individual thinking and is mature enough physically and mentally. But now that I am 19, I realise I was quite naive.
i was an elris fan since their debut and i remembered how young karin was when she debuted but no one would know here so im glad shes here (not glad she debuted so young tho)
I'm shocked by Lapillus members I would have never guessed that they were so young. But this actually explains why a lot of idols these days have a very unmature voice.
They debut very young but the society esp. netizen see them as adult that they can critize everyday everytime under their microscopic vision especially the popular ones, it's unacceptable
Originally as an jpop fan, I’ve seen kids down to 5-6 years old being idols…yes they don’t really need dance and singing (jpop isn’t as hard as kpop) but still, they barely started school 😭 so only hope kpop idols debuting young are under a company that takes the right measures
yeojin's official debut date is 2018 when loona debuted as whole! she was almost 16 by that time. that's because when she had her solo debut that song wasn't even promoted on music shows and she did not participate in any of the sub units due to her continuing her studies and was actuallu active after the ot12 debut.

This proves that debuting underaged idols is not a ”new trend” in kpop, like some people say. There has always been those very young idols… which I don’t think is ok, the age limit should be 15-16 at least 😕
I think that anyone under 15 is too young to debut..., but cherry bullet linlin/may and billlie haruna debut as fourteen/fifteen in a foreign country tho
So, is no one gonna talk about the twins and Ryanghyun Ryangha? They made their debut back in 2000 when they were 12 years old. They have to be the youngest members to debut in Kpop history.
I think this because they look so babyish that people like saying things like that lol. Because the two eldest are 18 and one of them is 17. It's a good enough age to debut lol
@@idkyouho and i think that's a pretty good decision to debuted them with such a young and fresh concept, compared with le sserafim with the 15 y.o maknae but with sexy debut concept, newjeans comes with more safe concept..

kids should allowed to be kids without being scrutinised and sexualised by the public and weird older men and women.. this industry just opens them to have all their flaws pointed out and being screamed at them🥲 I mean kyla is the biggest example of how this can affect a child, poor girl. also kids don't need a career they need education, even if they still go and don't dropout like some do they still are going to be exhausted and unable to focus bc of all their schedules
Kang Yeseo ( Kep1er Currently) actually debuted when she was 5years old, she was in a kpop group called CutieL from 2nd gen, and the debuted in Busters in 3rd gen, and the. Kep1er for 4th gen.
Many have said shit about NewJeans debuting as a minors (or most of them are minor) Well..look at this fact, lads. Hope it can shut your mouth. I don't remember Jungkook being treated that way back at the time when he debuted, he even got a full support back then, so why can we do the same for NWJNS?
I knew Samuel had originally debuted in 1Punch before becoming a soloist but what I didn’t know is that he DEBUTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER TURNING 13 WHAT THE HECK AND WHO DEBUTS 12 AND 11 YEAR OLDS. MATTER OF FACT I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH COMPANIES PUTTING OUT/SCOUTING ANYONE BEFORE THEY TURN 18 BC THATS WILD THESE ARE LITERAL CHILDREN
So there can be a debate here for Korean age vs Intl age. In their culture they see themselves as 1-2 years older based on their age system. Theyre considered 1 year old at birth and then when the new year comes they automatically "age up" regardless of where their birthday falls in the year. A 15 yr 4months old person to us. might be considered closer to maybe 17 in Korea. So it's really complicated LOL I'm sure most of yall know this but yeah something to keep in mind lol

@ having a generational gap in age is hit or miss, sometimes its hard for a 30 year old to even have a decent conversation with a 15 year old without it feeling like its a parent talking to a child as opposed to two similar aged minors that can more easily get along well...
Seniority and age plays a huge factor in korea, with all their formality talks and all that...
But I still think idols should debut in their 20's because their voices are much more developed than when younger..
it’s honestly crazy how there’s so many more female idols that debut at such a younger age than male idols :(
it’s the same... stop putting gender in everything
@@deary4wnzzn there’s a lot more girls though, especially at ages 14 and below. Are we actually watching the same video?
I saw clips of HyunA (either pre-Wonder Girls or just debuted) and looking back especially with HyunA song talking about how she had to sell the sexy image at a young age,, also now thinking about it the biggest rumor of her being pregnant,, etc… its sick she debuted at the age of 14 year old
haeun is currently k-pop’s youngest idol, but i can’t believe that some idols debuted even younger! 😮

Heesun (youngest) was 13 and Aini (oldest) was 29 when they debuted together in Pink Fantasy
4:17 Maru debuted four times, C-Clown, TREi, JT&MARCUS, and now he goes by Jaejun and is a member of TAN💕
I'm surprised by Minseo. I'm a huge Woo!ah stan and I didn't realize how young she was! And the Cherry Bullet members OMG!
Correction:
KEP1ER's Yeseo debuted when she was only 4 or 5 years old under the group CutieL in 2010.
CutieL is not considered a KPOP group... Its a children's group which is a different category of its own...
Else they would need to put a shit ton of childrens' group in there...
The thing is that Yeseo actually debuted in a children's group, like at 5 years old
they probably only count idol group
I used to think this age is understandable, cause I remember when I was 14 to 15 years old, I was very capable of individual thinking and is mature enough physically and mentally. But now that I am 19, I realise I was quite naive.
i was an elris fan since their debut and i remembered how young karin was when she debuted but no one would know here so im glad shes here (not glad she debuted so young tho)
I am an elris fan too!
I'm shocked by Lapillus members I would have never guessed that they were so young.
But this actually explains why a lot of idols these days have a very unmature voice.
Even though I like many of these idols/groups, I don’t think people this young should be debuting
it shows that not only idols nowadays debut in a young age, they always do it even back than
Nct dream members all of them debuted younger , the oldest one was mark 17 yo and the youngest jisung 14

kids should allowed to be kids without being scrutinised and sexualised by the public and weird older men and women.. this industry just opens them to have all their flaws pointed out and being screamed at them🥲 I mean kyla is the biggest example of how this can affect a child, poor girl. also kids don't need a career they need education, even if they still go and don't dropout like some do they still are going to be exhausted and unable to focus bc of all their schedules
blame the parents. they're the ones who allow their kids to get into the industry

So it's really complicated LOL
