Supercell tried to fix match ups but theyre rigged xp ruins it. The match ups are so that you wont face someone to far from your crown tower level which would mean you have a similar playing field. The way you upgrade your level is mostly through leveling up cards. The issue is that leveling low level cards gives relatively more xp compared to the cost than leveling high level cards. So players that level a very limited set of cards will level slower than players leveling all cards or many. That in combination with the equal level maych ups means that people who try to level a lot of different cards end up facing others who leveled one deck way higher than they could level their own cards. The only real way to counter this is by leveling one deck only yourself which led to the current atate of mid ladder where level 11 players are playing weird level 14 decks. You cant get to top ladder with that though, because they have ALL their cards maxed and can make good decks and are more skilled/experienced so all these people are in midladder and forcing other mid ladder players to abandon variety and do the same as them. This is also the reason why midladder has such a ridiculous meta where the most absurd decks work because theyre overleveled.

I'm not a fan of 1v1's either. Just do what you can on ladder. It only took me a little less than 3 years of just getting chests and crowns daily and doing 2/3 of the challenges to get maxed prior to magic items and gold crates. Totally unpaid and WITH a deck having 5 epics and 2 legendaries. Especially now just getting even your silver chests unlocked helps cycle to the gold crates and stuff.

His ability lasts 15-20 seconds and his special ability is that he can absorb a spell card that has fire, ice or lighting. He's a sorcerer so he works as all of them in one and he reflects them back from where they came. His main attack ability is ice shards, in one hand and a fire blast in the other and he has moderate attack speed. He has a splash down affect of lighting stunning thr enemy along with frost which slows the card that the sorcerer falls on and flame which is where it gets its power from. So essentially he works as an all in one "Wizard" but he's a sorcerer because he has mastered all three

Do you wonder about how mid lad come out like this? Welp let say that the new (?) Trophy drop protect systems is the problem. Everyone stuck at around 5000 and can't drop to the lower arena. We sometime (almost always) got smurf by these player from the higher arena or the one who buy the pass these people wont go above 5800 when they reach around. They will start to drop their own and come back to 5000 to mess with mid lad... since it was easier to have a free wins over lower lv card. This game is really fun when you were like at 5200 and go against lumberloon both on 14 and them ebarb 14 on the other side, like how the flip am I gonna do this? And they the next game you just go against archer queen lv14. Happy ending, such a good game 👏👏👏 I don't wanna admit it but, I believe this also happen before where higher lv player drop their thophy to arena 1 and play against noob or new player, so when they add that protect from arena falling systems, the lowest rank is challenger 1. Now the suffer fall to us instead 👏👏👏👏👍
I feel like you should only be able to go against players that are somewhat close to you in level. I also think you shouldn’t be able to be a level 11 with level 14 cards.

They really need to improve matchmaking soon. These creatures just keep everything else min level and them dump all their gold and cards into their spam deck and reap easy wins from people who progress properly.

This is exactly why I stopped playing ladder until I got all max cards. Fighting people with over leveled hog riders, mega knights, and balloons with level 11 and 12s is just not possible and not fun.

I encounter this everyday as a king level 11 (free to play). I have been playing for 3 years. The most shocking for me was a guy king 10 with 3 max legendary cards. I only had lvl 11 and 12. Pass royale broke the game.
And yeah playing in midladder is more frustrating than in top ladder. Since i usually finish on top 4/3k at the end of the season and often got to top 500 on mid season🤣
Yeah the matchmaking in mid ladder isn’t great I’m so glad that I got my main deck maxed out a while ago. It somehow makes it more bearable when the only thing you can blame on losing is yourself making bad plays

The people with high level cards in the lower leagues are just bad at the game because they should be higher up on ladder matchmaking is rigged and this video proves it
If supercell implies that, then the issue would be that you will spend gold on cards that you don't use to get xp, and then you wouldn't have gold to upgrade your main deck. People will still complain if that is implied saying that supercell wants money so they are making you spend money on cards you don't use. A better solution would be to cap the king tower/ card level based on trophies. So that in order to level up your cards you need climb trophies. But in this the issue that will arise is that the people who don't want to play ladder will be forced to play ladder in order to have a maxed accout.
I'm a returning player. Back then, I would just try to stall until draw when the enemy has over leveled cards. But now that they removed draw and level 14 is a thing, this game becomes harder than the old times.
They should really fix the tiebreaker. If you play vs a lvl 14 while you’re a lvl 11, you already have a 1000 hp disadvantage. Supercell should account for that.

For 5 minutes of the game, you have less risk of losing your tower, can kill cards faster, etc. The tiebreaker should adjust to the difference in levels. Since a lvl 14 has about 1000 hp difference between lvl 11’s princess tower, they should first reduce lvl 14’s princess tower 1000 hp first. Having a high king tower gives you an advantage for the entire game, so shouldn’t supercell reward lower level king tower players if they survive it until the end?
this is exactly how every single one of my games in ladder is, I've been lvl 11 (now lvl 12 since the update) for over a year and my opponents always have higher level cards and the interactions screw me so often.

At one point every high ladder player was also mid-ladder, IDK how they survived it (probably by max cards and e-giant clone, mirron)

They should capped the card level with your king tower level so in order to upgrade your card further, you need to level up on king tower first
