omg, that was absolutely a gift. It's been a long day and ive only just got home from work. Opened up my beer and just sat and watched this in absolute bliss. All my stress went away and i feel great now. Absolute Pleasure to watch. screw it. im going to watch it again. Thank you so much
I'm glad that you enjoyed the video, it means a lot.
😂😂😂
@@FlyingFishProductions Seeing some of the damage on these props is just depressing to look at like why would they treat them like that? If me and several fans got to buy out Thomas from being analy raped by corporate Mattel, make the models again and adapt the other Railway Series to tv as there were several unadapted since season 4. Bring back Mike & Jr's music and just make it like the classics. Bring back the realism and all that watered down baby shit is not gonna fly here. Make the stuff from the other era's as logical to the revised series and don't keep pissing on the legacy of what Reverend Wilburt Audrey brought to this planet.
What kind of beer?
@@BigSmoke-bu6ib um 150 lashes I think
I miss when Thomas and Friends was made with toy models, and Bob the Builder being made with Stop-Motion.
Those were definitely the golden years of children’s entertainment in the modern era.
As I watched all the classic Thomas and Friends episodes; the ones which resembled a live-action layout model table display, I found out that the characters really looked small until the show increased with bigger versions and new music and songs. The creators used drivers and firemen for most of the characters in both the live-action and CGI-animated versions of the show, but when they transitioned it to a 2D toddler cartoon, they finally scrapped them like they did in Thomas and the Magic Railroad.
Sodor will cameo in Time Shift with some of the original Thomas and Friends themes and Putt-Putt will accomplish the faltered deliveries while traversing the island with Casey Junior unless the show got altered.
I like Thomas, Edward, Emily, Stepney, Harvey, Murdoch, Nia, Rebecca, Duck, Oliver, Donald and Douglas.
They made some of the most beautiful model trains regardless of their character or fictionality. Would love to make my own replicas.
You can quite easily nowadays, there are heaps of accurate Gauge 1 scale 3D printer files on Twitter that can be used. All you need is a 3D printer, some time, sandpaper, and some paint. If you ever end up starting a project feel free to reach out to me if you need help.
Thank you so much for this. I love season 1-12 and Thomas And The Magic Railroad, Calling All Engines and The Great Discovery. To me, they're the truest classics of Thomas and friends.
The faces. The faces without eyes…
They stare into my soul 💀
George Carlin may be gone, but Thomas Land in England sponsored all train fans.
Land Paste; a product I thought up, if it were made, it can bring Sodor and all the other fictional worlds to life.
My letter to the creators of Thomas and Friends will commence the alteration.
This new Thomas and Friends movie I thought up; Sodor's Climactic Endeavor, it will show the rest of the show's characters and it will act like Thomas and the Magic Railroad, but with a new plot, the rest of Sodor's location details, the rest of the train cars, and a new scoundrel as well as a new live cast, a new voice cast and the characters' final moments on Sodor.
I love these types of vidios
Thanks, I've got another one coming soon.
I really don't know how Tom Hanks got into Thomas and friends but I love it
first comment that isn't sal
Wow, that was amazing.
7:48 Yooo thats awesome that Tom Hanks was there dude!!
Yes, I believe he's had some interest in the show for many decades!

Just imagine how different seasons 5, 6 and magic railroad would’ve been if Tom Hanks got the narrator role instead of Alec Baldwin
Thinking about it, he would have been a much better choice
I didn’t know Tom Hanks made a cameo, what did he play?
@@Kendall231 he never had any formal involvement with the show aside from visiting the studio during season 8 when he was filming The DaVinci Code
@@jerrysgardentractorsengine2243, I didn’t think he had any involvement but I just wanted to make sure because maybe he did a cameo that I just forgot or something, that’s why I asked, but anyways was is he at the UK studio, and what made him decide to check out the studio that was making Thomas & Friends?
@@Kendall231 the movie he was shooting at the time, The DaVinci Code, had a scene filmed at Shepperton Studios, which happened to be the same studio where Thomas was shot. From what little information I can gather about his visit, Hanks was apparently a fan of Thomas and wanted to check everything out when he wasn't busy, namely the models and sets
Stepney Gets Lost (1998)
I love this so very much, bringing back glorious memories I remember very much.
The Harbor Season 3 theme

Donald's Duck

Percy, James and the Fruitful Day
Even the sets look like they have their own life!
I would like to promote the creators of Thomas and Friends to redo the entire show with all the characters not having any firemen or drivers in their cabs, accidents or derailing crashes. If they agree on that, the faltered deliveries can be successful and the characters will move like they're doing it all by themselves, some narrative word lines can be altered, some song lyrics can also be altered, some characters that didn't appear in the CGI-animated continuum can do the appearance, the Runaway Theme can be used for more chases, some hazards can be spared, more rescues and problem solvings can be summoned, all the character models can be cloned for fun use by others, full-size versions of them by the same shapes of the models can be created for fun train rides and the people can actually be cartoons for the classic episodes in the style of the bee that got burned by James and stung him for payback. The show will still be based on the books by the Reverend W. Awdry if they got changed and it was surprising and a little funny for one episode of the show to resemble Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol!
5:09 The engines without the faces is kinda scary. LOL.
Agreed
I'd be interested in an in universe story of the origins of living trains and vehicles.
Also where did you get the music from? SA Music and One Tram Band?
Nice where did you find these photos exactly? I want to see if I can find even more rare props and images from the show.
I got a majority of these from Twitter, the original Twitter posters acquired them via direct contact with people who worked on the show.
4:44 We're never gonna see her again, are we?
Sadly probably not
I can’t really find any info on the Tom Hanks photo other than his hair is the same length as it is when he was in “The Da Vinci Code” and the fact that both projects were filmed at Shepperton Studios. But I need to know, is this a convincing photoshop or is it the real deal?
It's the real deal, I believe the photo was taken during the production of TATMRR in the United States, not at Shepperton.
Series 3(1991-92)
Narrated by: George Carlin
One Good Turn (1991)
2:03 bad figures go into the BOX
The time out box you should say
Wow that’s wild. Takes me back to my childhood. How did you get a hold of these?
There was a massive leak of behind the scenes pictures and footage on Twitter recently.
Imagine someone took that big duke model and actually and made a dark side of day out with thomas
👍
Those photos with eyes but no face were freaky
I agree, but that's how they were made.
Me:omg tom hanks is there also me: still omg
Second comment that isn’t @sal Stephanelei
4:22 Which episode besides the movie played this music?
That piece of music was only used in TATMRR.
you forgot set locations of sodor
3:59 NOT THAT BUSHFIRE OF THE BRATTY ENGINE BILLY!!!!!
Oh yes it is.
@@FlyingFishProductions Billy is such a BRAT!!!! I don't think Billy will be returning after one abysmal episode!!!!
@@karaokebackgroundplaylists9878 I'm pretty sure they would've reintroduced him into the CGI seasons, had the people at Nitrogen studios not have been lazy and recolour his model into Charlie.

What happened to all these props??
Some were sold off to collectors who post them on Twitter and private collectors, some were given to crew members who worked on the show after the end of the model series in 2008. Some were moved to Canada at Nitrogen studios but I believe many if not all have moved since. Some were put in the Drayton Manor museum in England, and the Hara railway museum in Japan. Some were thrown away, and there's a fair chunk in Mattel's storage to this day.

Why was there a black blodge covering one of the model makers face🤨🇬🇧
I'm not sure, someone else did that and I used the image in the video.
I can't place the faces from 6:28. Which Engine's face is that?

If vehicles have faces in the Thomas universe, why do some like Sir Topham Hatt’s car not have one. A common question.
It suggests to me that perhaps they are given faces during their production. But it begs the question, would that make those without faces sentient and conscious with no way to communicate or express themselves?
Perhaps the faces grow or just appear on vehicles with consciousness. If so does that make faceless vehicles brain dead? Or are they stunted in some way.
The trains gain faces when they enter Sodor in The Magic Railroad. While I understand why most people prefer to forget the film, if a sentient train gains a face when it enters Sodor, does that not suggest that the faceless vehicles are brain dead.
And if sentient trains exist in our world without faces, how do they feel? They can’t talk or laugh or cry. If I were them, I would surely scream in mental anguish if I only had a mouth.
That was... dark but an interesting theory.
@@FlyingFishProductions I mean... Classic Thomas was dark sometimes. Duncan Gets Spooked comes to mind.
That said I'm not trying to make it dark. I just want to understand it. What about City of Truro? It isn't shown to have a face but it supposedly speaks to the engines somehow. How?!? So many unanswered questions.
