Ned, I'm a mixture of an Irish mother and a father from Scotland. Can you say Celtic heritage?
Therefore, I'm a very pale, white foreigner. I don't do well in a sunny environment.
Nevertheless, I'm not so White that I'm a Ginger haired, freckled Norse man.
However, I did have to undergo cancer treatment for what was diagnosed as "Bowens" cancer cells on my head.
The initial treatment was done using liquid nitrogen to kill the cells by freezing.
Despite the success of this type of treatment, there was an area of cancerous cells that didn't respond
to the freezing.
I had to undergo 🎉surgery which was a simple, non-painful procedure to kill the most entrenched cancer cells.
This treatment is successful even while I'm retired in the sunny Philippines.

Next month is 10 years you have been there ...years flew by! Is there anything you'll miss about living in Phils when you leave in a few years to bring the kids back to USA to go to school? And since you will be well into your 70's by the time they are graduating high school...will you ever live in Philippines again or are your Philippine dreams over in 3 or so years from now (when your oldest is 5 or 6 and ready for 1st grade)?
