    Holy shit dude! This bike is stunning! Totally modern looking yet still looks like a Virago. Yamaha needs to hire you to redesign a Virago so they can bring it back. V-Stars are shit IMO.

    Very best bike I have ever owned and wish I still had was my 1990 1100 Virago. I had some forward controls made for it and it was perfect. {a few other cosmetic things of course}. You are an amazing artist, thanks for sharing.

Your project from what I saw so far on youtube is the best matching to mine one :) Was a pleasure to view it. Cheers man!

      Jep its a xv700. They were built along with the xv1000 model. In 1984 and 1985. The xv1000 had the new starter style but the 700 kept the gen 1 system. The gen 2 starter style engine was changed in 1986 on the xv700.

    Wow! Heel heel heel knap gedaan. Alsof ie zo uit de fabriek komt. Grappig dat dit nu pas in mijn overzicht naar voren komt. Typisch youtube. Enige dat ik me afvroeg is hoe je de achterbrug opnieuw hebt gemaakt. Heb je dit zelf gelast? Persoonlijk vind ik frame aanpassingen griezelig. Zou me altijd afvragen of het stevig genoeg is om iemand achterop mee te laten rijden (maar ik heb geen verstand van lassen en sterkte). Ben benieuwd of je een volgend project in gedachten hebt.

    • @otzie3299
      @otzie3299  2 роки тому +1

      Haha dankjewel, ja heb dit zelf gelast. In eerste instantie wilde ik het zelf niet wagen maar had me zelf overtuigd dat ik het iniedergeval wil proberen. Dus had een cursus lassen gevolgd en in dat proces de achterbrug gedaan. Uiteraard heb ik een ander project in gedachten, echter wil ik daarvoor de ruimte hebben. Momenteel ben ik wel bezig met een tweede viragoblok aan het restaureren. Puur omdat het te leuk is om ermee bezig te zijn:)

Such a great work with the seat too, any advice for this, once you've melted the harleys seat's base onto the virago, how do you reattach the foam/seat to it? • @urbanstyle20

    Hey otzie je bobber is echt dik geworden man ! Hoeveel cc is die van jou ? En hoe rijd ie op de snelweg met touren ? Genoeg power ook ? Ik rij zelf een suzuki gsxr 600 maar ben laatste tijden echt aan het kijken naar bobbers voor een eigen Future project.

    • @otzie3299
      @otzie3299  3 роки тому

      Tnx! het is een 700cc. als je meer snelweg wilt gaan rijden dan is een 920/1000/1100 een beter plan. Het tourgebied ligt iets lager wat het iets aangenamer maakt tijdens het rijden. Qua power zijn ze allemaal gelijk rond de 60 pk. Wil je op een chopper veel snelweg rijden dan zou ik toch naar iets anders kijken rond de 1100 of 1400 cc of met een windscherm. Maar goed dan spreek ik over comfort. Als je voor een projectbike gaat is dat meestal het laatste waar je naar zal kijken;) Ik zou dan je gsxr behouden als je comfortbike. Doe ik ook met fjr1300 en bandit 650. Daarnaast kan je genieten van je project.
