I don’t know about that. This “people” has. It’s a whole different style, and I like it. The only thing I don’t like (and this is many southern bands, not just HBCU ones) is that they tune their drum heads ridiculously loose, and they don’t pop. (They rattle.) That’s the only thing I don’t like though. Everything else is tight. They definitely know what they are doing.
@@RoyalFizzbin I can agree being a former HBCU band head myself. I love the sound of tonal basses, listen to Norfolk State University's Million Dollar Funk Squad drum line and you can definitely hear the difference.
@@RoyalFizzbin The Human Jukebox tune the snare drums to sound more like a Confederate Military Band, also the up right tenor drums are preferred compared to quads to give more of a live drum set sound.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Orlando Xzavier I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Oh Heavenly Father, Thank You And Bless You For This Day. Thank You for Protecting us in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena California... Also Thank you Heavenly Father for the Rose Bowl Committee for giving Southern University marching band an invitation. Praise And Glory Go To You In Jesus Name. Southern University Human Jukebox #1 fan.🙂 -Joey
They wasn’t impressed they thought it was these niggas first time around until they found out these niggas been around. Super bowls presidential inaugurations sugar bowls and b-ball half time shows. Yeah my alumni the shit and if you’re reading this Pasadena ppl that’s not including Beyoncé and other videos and events they’ve done and done nationally for years. Billboard and major new outlets has published them for years. Y’all better recognize just bc you haven’t heard of them don’t mean others don’t know. But now y’all know. Put some respect on my alumni And love should have brought you home is sung by Toni Braxton Grammy award winning R&B artist the song is from the early 90s they play music from any genre any era!
There called the Human jukebox for a reason .from rock to country they play it all.... I saw them play Welcome to the jungle at the Georgia game and had everyone stund
was deff weird seeing the jukebox in a smaller stadium usually you see them in packed out houses but this was a nice change . you could hear all the parts and the loud drums . they killed it im0o
You will just have to forgive them..They are not used to the heat this band or other southern style marching bands bring. I'm a Yankee that lives in LA and even I give props to the south.
Well, if they performed for a Black Californian crowd the reaction would've been WAY different. When you decide to travel across-country to perform for a mainly white and Hispanic crowd, this is the type of reaction you will get ****Kanye shrugs****
No offense but Southern really needs a better MC. This guy sounds out of touch when he's trying to narrate the performance. E for effort but just leads a lot to be desired.
THESE PEOPLE NEVER SAW A BLACK COLLEGE BAND FOLKS.......EVERRRRRRRR........SHOCKED......!!!
Right. They dont know whats going on 🤔

They Have HBCU Bands @ the Tournament of Roses every year. They've probably never heard a band as Powerful as Southern tho.

I have got to say, if anyone can compete against Japanese bands it will be Southern . My compliments and i love this band .🎶🎵💪👏👏👏👍 Holland 🇳🇱🌷
That’s funny 😆

This definitely ain’t our crowd
Lol
SU baby
@@lashonnewilliams2902 what's wrong with the crowd?
Some of my favorite old songs from Hi Five and Toni Braxton. So awesome!
Was the crowd was dead or is it just me?
It wasn't you. It was the crowd. Many of the spectators were intoxicated.
Maybe they should spend some more time down at Jaguar Land. They're not used to a band like The Human Jukebox.
They don't know a good ol southern thing if it hit them. The south has soul, they dont. lol
Yes funny energy from the crowd. The Concert piece attacked the energy in the stadium.
@@makelifeyourdayjob5507 they weren’t used to an HBCU this is Pasadena California where they ONLY KNOW the Trojans

Wish the dolls would have dance to MJJ working day and night for the Cali visit
Thank You for uploading this video!
I love SU no other band come close to my jukebox ❤🎺.

i can hear myself screaming in this video, one of the best days of my life
Straight DOA, could be a DNR, hell... dead ass crowd for sure!!!!!
This crowd sucked!!
The worst I've seen
Just love the band playing Love should have brought you home last night. Just beautiful. ❤
Beautiful
This is the result of what Dr. Issac Greggs had a "vision" for over 30 years ago. LEGEND. He's smiling. Way to represent S.U. Jukebox for Life !
30 years ago it was 1990 about 40 years ago mate
Try about 40 or 50 years ago
That Congro was something serious!
“Esa era bien chingona” i agree
When the guy announced love should have brought you home the crowd laughed 🤔
T Amused 90's R&B that they weren't familiar with, I could see the name catching them off guard..
I was like what’s so funny?lol Even one lady was like “who does that?”
I know I was like really???
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do they have a video of them marching in??
Is the crowd used to watch this band? no reaction, kind of death, they were excited with the band from El Salvador and Costa RIca.
You will just have to forgive them..They are not used to the heat this band or other southern style marching bands bring. I'm a Yankee that lives in LA and even I give props to the south.
Say no more. Understood. Truth be told, the key word is demographics. Look at the category up top this video was placed in. That says it all.

They should come from the end zone so they can show there power on both sides

A. Day i agree they could stand to have a better MC but that's what they like so it is what it is i guess.
the devil lives at southern
🔥🔥🔥
1:17 is somebody in the crowd shouting out blood
... but can they chew gum at the same time? ... I suppose you have to give the quota admissions something to do ...
🤣 this show was dry .. that old town road was embarassing ..
