I remember when this was a hot collector's item, passed around on VHS tape. Very nice to see that Tandy has made it available for everyone to enjoy.

Wow! Wow! Al Stohlman's name, is to me, synonymous with leather craft. To have accidentally found this video is such a pleasant treasure. Thank you. Paz

Al is my hero......I started doing leatherwork in the early 1970's - I started with a Tandy - Let's Learn Leather Leathercraft kit.
I was soon to learn that there was a fella by the name Al Stohlman who was the King of leathercraft... I bought every book he wrote and the rest, for me, is history......
I went on to have my own leathergoods business, Bevel 'N' Brush, in an historic village called Timbertown in Wauchope NSW........
I owe my success, and love, of leatherwork to Al and Anne......RIP

The piece entitled The Brush Popper hung in my father's office at Tandy's Headquarters. My father, Lloyd Redd, was the President of Tandy Leather Co. at the time. Thanks for sharing the video.

I'm very much liking the leather crafting as a starter hobby. I've always liked working with my hands. Leather, wood or metals, something about being a craftsman keeps me going.

George! I don't think Al sent any sketches home by 'email'! I had a good laugh about this little slip up - can we even remember a time without the internet???

This man literally carved a business up from the dirt (he lived in an old chicken coop when he got out of the service). Made tools out of nails. Used ink as his dye. Could you imagine a modern snowflake whiner, the ones out begging for free cell phones, healthcare and college, doing something like that these days?

Did George really say that Al sent home his sketches from The South Pacific by email? I swear that's what I heard.

He did! Amusing little slip up.
