When Ross was still married, she told him she still was in love with him. And what did she do when Ross was divorced, devastated, broken, depressed? Did she try to help him, comfort him, help him to heal his broken heart? Did she tell him then she still loved him and she would do anything to help him? No. She started to date Danny because he was cute and not interested in her. Correct me if I'm wrong but a person who loves someone tries to help him/her in situation like that, wants patiently until his wounds get healed and then they talk about being together again. I grew up in the 90's, and I always took interest in many other nations not just my own (Israeli). Their culture, costumes and TV shows/movies. Friends was by far one of the best shows ever, and to this day I watch episodes on Netflix because it was and is that good. Other shows I loved: Family Matters, Full House, The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, The Cosby Show, Love And Marriage. My god there were so many excellent TV shows. The 80's in which I was born, and the 90's in which I grew up were the best decades ever in my opinion. Today kids are stuck to screens and garbage level shows.

The biggest mistake of the show was Ross and Rachel being the main end-game "couple" in the show - their relationship was very toxic - I actually *KNOW* a few people like that, and their divorces have *ALWAYS* been acrimonious. The "perfect example" of a healthy relationship bar-none that actually worked ended up being Chandler and Monica.

Joey cared more for her feelings than Ross ever did in the short time Joey fell for her. He was also man enough to step aside for Ross despite the fact Ross exhibits an unhealthy OCD attraction for Rachel with an "ideal vision" of her in his head as evidenced with their off/on relationship throughout the series. Here’s where I stand on the whole “we were on a break” part. Ross was insanely jealous of Rachel’s friendship with Mark and her demanding job. Both of them should have communicated with each other about how they felt. With Rachel suggesting they take a break, she should have explained what that meant and Ross shouldn’t have assumed she was sleeping with Mark when he heard his voice. TL:DR The two of them should have communicated better and took some time for themselves during the break, not go out with other people (Ross). Like yes, hang out with Chandler and Joey but not at a bar or something.
Nah man a break means they're taking a break from their relationship, she has no reason to feel as though he cheated on her when she herself initiated it. Mans just wanted some frozen yogurt or whatever :((

To be fair, Ross stated many times that he was uncomfortable about Mark but Rachel continued to be friends with him. Yes they were coworkers so they had to see each other but they definitely had a relationship that was more than regular coworkers. Ppl were still extremely prejudiced against the LGBTQ+ community (not like it was in the ‘70s but the strides made in todays society had not yet occurred; and other than Good Times, Sandford and Sons & The Cosby Show (which does not hold up well in retrospect) there weren’t shows on tv for black ppl of color, let alone Asian or anything else. Things were slowly moving in the right direction but Anita Hill lost her hearing; Republicans hated Hillary basically bc she was a formidable, competent, truly bright First Lady (who they saw going places following Bill’s Presidency, even without his charisma); and the internet did not yet have law books online - Lexus and Nexus merely helped show you where to go searching in the libraries. It’s a farce compared w what attorneys can do today.
These are all somewhat disparate facts but I’m just trying to show you how different things were when the tv was running as opposed to how things stand today. While Ross was actually the only character of the six to truly branch out and date all sorts of different women, other than one time, the rest of the group appeared to live in a bizarre white bubble that is I promise you was NOT how Manhattan appeared at that point in time.
Yes, there were some children of the Woodstock generation who were much more open and free with their lives, their attitudes & their bodies; but they were the anomalies against whom ppl such as Ross, Monica, & Rachel simply saw as strange and/or bizarre. It’s actually fascinating that Phoebe ever became friends with this group in the first place!! (Sorry so long. Got into the discussion that nobody but me was talking about…) 🤭😳😂🥰

I grew up in the 90's, and I always took interest in many other nations not just my own (Israeli). Their culture, costumes and TV shows/movies. Friends was by far one of the best shows ever, and to this day I watch episodes on Netflix because it was and is that good. Other shows I loved: Family Matters, Full House, The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, The Cosby Show, Love And Marriage. My god there were so many excellent TV shows. The 80's in which I was born, and the 90's in which I grew up were the best decades ever in my opinion. Today kids are stuck to screens and garbage level shows.

The biggest mistake of the show was Ross and Rachel being the main end-game "couple" in the show - their relationship was very toxic - I actually *KNOW* a few people like that, and their divorces have *ALWAYS* been acrimonious. The "perfect example" of a healthy relationship bar-none that actually worked ended up being Chandler and Monica.

Joey cared more for her feelings than Ross ever did in the short time Joey fell for her. As much as a lothario Joey was portrayed to be in the show, he never came across as a complete total jerkwad to the people he cared about - especially Rachel. He was also man enough to step aside for Ross despite the fact Ross exhibits an unhealthy OCD attraction for Rachel with an "ideal vision" of her in his head as evidenced with their off/on relationship throughout the series. Ross only stops short of being Ted Bundy when it comes to Rachel.
Imo if they were going to have ross and rachel get together in the end he should have gone to paris with her she should have to have given up her dream to be with him. I think she should have got of the plain then ross says lets go to paris together

Here’s where I stand on the whole “we were on a break” part. Ross was insanely jealous of Rachel’s friendship with Mark and her demanding job. Both of them should have communicated with each other about how they felt. With Rachel suggesting they take a break, she should have explained what that meant and Ross shouldn’t have assumed she was sleeping with Mark when he heard his voice.
TL:DR
The two of them should have communicated better and took some time for themselves during the break, not go out with other people (Ross). Like yes, hang out with Chandler and Joey but not at a bar or something.
