Jake this makes two opening mornings I’ve spent with you in Wisconsin and I never even left the couch , but I really want y’all to know how much I enjoyed it, thank you for sharing this day with us.
That is right the most anticipated 9 days of the year, Wisconsin Deer Camp!! Tradition, family, friends, deer and beer. I love it.
Yes finally the Wisconsin gun season videos. Love seeing my fellow Wisconsin hunters and their traditions
To me this is what hunting is all about. Family. I’ve had some of my best days not shooting a damn thing but spending it with my father makes the hunt the most memorable
Love the Longbranch saloon!!! Hunt only a few miles from there 👍.... you definitely captured the Wisconsin hunting camp as I know it Jake
The cinematography on this episode was excellent! Very immersive and personal. Beautiful job!
Gotta love those neighbors who push deer to you. Every single year they push a nice buck into our pasture. Hunts always over within the first hour.
This might be my favorite episode of the season, just cause it's old school firearm deer camp, and you can't beat that for a good time. I wouldn't mind seeing some traditional Wisconsin deer camp beer drinking and tall tale telling, I've heard it's legendary.
I approve of the Busch Light and deer talk. Reminds me of how our hunting camp goes
Jake a resident born and raised in north east Wisconsin love how you show the tradition that happens all over the state. Love THP videos keep doing the videos. I've learned more from these than any other plat form.
This type of content (Jake Wisconsin hunting, spear fishing, the deer drive from last year) are some of my favorite content. Telling the story of the comradery, heritage, and tradition is what I like most. Great job THP!
Jake, the family deer camp videos are my favorites of the year. Mike and I got out for a sit by Waupun on Sunday afternoon. Didn’t see anything but that few hours of time in the woods with him was as enjoyable as all the other bow sits where I had buck encounters. Love that we are getting some time together in the woods again.
A wonderful vid capturing the camaraderie of hunting camps across the USA.
The Wisconsin deer season is one of my favorite videos you post love the bow hunting. But it is something about the deer running and you all is just cool keep up the good work love it 👍
Good stuff Jake that takes me back when l was young, lm 71 now, when l would hunt with cousins and uncles in Pennsylvania during gun season. Those are memories you never forget. I love those memories and times spent with family along with all the stories told at deer camp. I will never forget all the red and black wool hunting suits everyone wore back then…….good memories.
Deer camp is Wisconsin is such a special thing. We have a cabin in northern Wisconsin and it just doesn’t get any better. The tradition is just something else. The time spent with your grandpa, dad, brother and friends from the bar just don’t beat it! Congrats jake and congrats to your brother too! Can’t wait till next year! Now I gotta get back to late season bow hunting, I need something in my freezer..
You know there is nothing like Family Tradition on Opening Day! I enjoyed this video as much as anything you guys have posted!! Awesome!! Congratulations and best of luck the rest of the Hunt!!
Family traditions are great. I can’t imagine what it would be like to not have them. I feel blessed to still be hunting with my family 40 years later. Congratulations
It sure makes me miss all the years I hunted our camp with my friends, 8 of us for 20 years. The camp is gone as are most of the friends. I felt happy for you and your friends and family cherish the time, it passes to quickly. Very nice buck your brother got. Honestly brought tears to my eyes. Keep after them.
Nothing better than the Wisconsin gun opener. Thanks for sharing your tradition
I love all of your guys’s videos..however, the ones where you guys go home are by far my favorite. I love these. Doesent matter what state you’re in...the feeling of being home on opening day, at hunting camp, with your family and friends is something all hunters can relate to.
Probably my favorite video on the THP. Reminds me of my own family's tradition of hunting the woods in northern Minnesota. Started being allowed to go with my dad when I was around 12. We'd drive part of the way up and pick up my Grandpa on the way. Grandad has passed now so continuing the tradition is one of the ways that keeps those memories alive. Thanks for sharing Jake.
That’s exactly what our great sport is all about! Family, friends and great memories! In the last twenty years it’s seems to have slipped away by the search for bigger and bigger bucks. I’m guilty of it too. But this video really brings home what hunting ought to be about more often! Thank you for sharing your family with us!
I was basically adopted into a deer camp pretty much just like yours. Good friends and good memories to last a lifetime. Didn’t always get a deer but telling those same “fish stories” and “remember the time...” takes me back. Love it!
Awesome “Family Tradition” hunt. You guys are making lifetime memories. Nice deer too but the experience is what’s most endearing. You have many envious viewers Jake!
Way to go Jake and crew. I love watching these videos because I miss this camaraderie that we don’t have anymore because a lot of our family members have dropped off hunting or passed away. I need to hook up with a new group of people that have a nice tradition like this
That’s awesome, that is the same gun that I haul around in the woods too! My grandpa left me that gun and he’s been asleep since 02. Anyway cool to see another one in good shape. Love the shows, thanks THP crew!!
My dad killed many a buck with his 742. He's been gone for almost six years now.
I got one handed down to me too, it's a great gun. Nothing like hunting with a gun that was passed down from someone you love and admired.
Same for me as well, I shot my biggest buck to date with that gun 9 years ago.
Keep the tradition alive! Great job.
Jake your very blessed to be able to do this every year. I was born to do this but have never had the opportunity to experience it. Thanks for taking me along. Have fun. Be safe and good luck.
Sometimes the greatest trophies are the times spent and the memories made.
Amen to that . So many people waste their life away. These people will have great memories. !0 thumbs up.
Thanks for sharing Jake! We have a very similar tradition of meeting at camp on Thursday night. Even though we got skunked this year, we still enjoyed the commrodery of friends and family! This is the tradition of WI deer hunting!
I came across THP last year just in time to see the Wisconsin video and have been waiting for this years version. I absolutely love that you all make it a point to get together for the hunt. I have been hunting the same land 30 years now and the time i spend with my children there is priceless. Thanks for allowing us to tag along
So if any of you still have these deer camps still going in your family, do everything you can to pass it on to the next generation!!!! I never had deer camp or private property growing up, but have been invited to a couple camps, and really enjoyed it. Keep it in your family and keep that tradition alive!!
family, hunting, being together, and a nice buck. doesn't get any better thanks jake
These videos hit home the most for me. 👍 Reminds me of my childhood deer camp and going to the local cafe for breakfast after everyone's morning hunt.
Love the tradition in Wisconsin. Born and raised
Gotta love the rubberized "good luck" orange cap...CLASSIC! Also the Hantavirus Hotel and the sketchy canoe ride in the dark..😁😂🤣
I love the deer camp theme! One of my buddies and I was just talking how we needed to get gun week deer camp back going!
Wonderful video. Family and friends are what make the memories. The deer are just a bonus.
Awesome hunt and video. Good times and priceless memories made for this family. We travelled to hunt west ky for several years until we lost the land access. It was our family tradition. Brings tears to my eyes if I think about it too much. This video reminds me alot of hunting the west ky swamps and marshes. Thank you THP for doing this kind of hunting. Most hunters will never be able to hunt the way it is portrayed by the rich on tv.
Thanks Jake, for sharing your family with us.
This is one of my favorite hunts to watch. takes me back in time to when i hunted with my father and grandfather. always puts a smile on my face.
This is what hunting is all about. Time with friends and family. Making memories that will last forever. Congratulations on your buck! Thank all of you very much for letting us come into your deer camp and enjoy the experience with you. That’s a very big deal. For folks like us that is sacred time. Like Jake said in the beginning of this video it is comparable to Christmas and Thanksgiving. For y’all to share that with everyone says so much about what great people you are. Thank you again for that and I hope you all have a great Christmas!!
Jake,
The videos of of your families traditional deer camp at by far the best videos THP puts out! Don’t get me wrong, I love the bow hunting, but you just can’t beat gun hunting with your family! Great job!
Wisconsin is my birth place! Home of beer and hunting and you have to love it!
I love this tradition hunt. Glad you took us along again this year. Congrats to your brother. I hope this will continue for many years. Thanks for sharing.
Traditions run deep. hunting camp is one of the most cherished traditions. We have 3 generations at our camp right now and still growing. Up North Michigan.
When I was a kid my brothers and I got more excited over the WI gun deer season than Christmas. For me I’m all about the archery season now.
Jake, thanks for sharing the video of your family hunt. Brings back great memories of time spent with my dad and uncle hunting. Congrats to your bro !
One y'alls best episodes. Very well done! Loved the storytelling.
you are a lucky man to have such a wonderful family
That's good stuff right there, cherish these opening days Jake cause there limited for all of us. I laughed when I seen your mom walking thru the house with rifle in hand ready to rock. Hopefully the youngsters will carry on the family tradition. Good luck and be safe my friend.
Watching these opening day videos make me miss gun hunting with friends and family. I miss it a lot
Another excellent video, family, friends, hunting and drinking, sometimes a guy forgets just how blessed he his...
This video right here sums up in a nutshell what hunting is all about.
Nothing better in the world !
Enjoy those days hunting with your mom and dad great times
As much as I like all the bow hunting videos. This little series has got to be my favorite. Reminds me of my gun seasons with my buddies.
Thanks Jake for sharing. Ive been anticipating this one. Special times with family and great tradition. Also cool that your Granddad only bought the 15 acres way back when and you guys have had so much good luck and blessed time on it. Keep up the great work. This is the real stuff. Meaningful and Moving. No corporate advertising and BS. Thank you
Love this time of year more than Christmas. I’m from south East kentucky and we’ve been hunting the same farm in Northern KY for about 23 years, stay in an old double wide. Poker and beer at night and putting the smack down on the whitetails in the day.
Absolutely love the tradition in the gun hunting videos. It’s part of what Hunting is all about! Great video as always.
Nothing better then hunt camp. After losing one of my brothers back in 99 my other brother and I hunt all year together Life’s short hunt hard and with your family and friends and don’t forget to love this video my hunting people
You know I enjoyed last years video and also this years. It’s like a tradition now for me to watch these. Love that the family has such a great time together hunting. All my family that I hunted with has died off so I’m a solo hunter now. Ol yeah I love the gun shots sounds like a war zone 👍
There is nothing better then opening week of gun season! And to be successful just makes it even better! Congrats guys!
Jakes Wisconsin deer camp videos are by far my favorite of the deer tour and its hard to have a favorite with the thp deer tour but the deer camp brings back so many memories of when i first started hunting and even if jake and the fam didn't kill any deer it would still be my favorite. thanks jake for the deer camp tradition
Great job Jake and Family, thank you for sharing with us. I loved this video and that you all share it together enjoying that time together
Good buck guys.....no matter what buddies I hunt with.....just something about opening day with Dad and brother.....best feeling in the world.
The Wisconsin orange army. If it’s brown it’s down.
Awsome hunt, we have a 183 acre farm that my family hunts, it all started with my dad and my uncle, then my uncle got some other ground to hunt, so then it was dad, my brother and I, then my son started hunting and my brother son started hunting a few years ago! My dad in 2011 shot a button buck his last deer, he died of a heart attack over the top of the deer! But us boys continue the tradition of Warners deer camp! Another top notch video guys, congrats to Jake's brother very nice buck!
Jake, this video was great! Hunting is all about traditions with family, friends etc. It was great to see hunting happen on a small private piece and the priority was just enjoying the experience. I loved the fact that the harvest was about just that the harvest, not antler score or age class etc. Thanks for sharing this and look forward to more from the weekend!
Hunting with Family and Friends... Jake you filled your tag the moment you pulled into your driveway!!! Awesome video... Congrats!!!
Thanks for sharing Jake. I was raised in Wisconsin, your video brings back some great memories. Miss those times.
Deer Season in Wisconsin is so awesome. I look forward every fall to spending time with my hunting group, as we sit around the fire place in the hunting shack. Opening morning is so filled with excitement and anticipation!
Sadly, over the last 5 years, the Wolves have moved in and killed the majority of the deer. This year (2019) was our worst since 1982!
Yes! Wisconsin opening day of gun season. Been a fan since I watched your video last year!!
Maybe my favorite episode of the whole season!
Awesome! Love seeing the family hunts there the best. That's my favorite time of the year getting together with everyone. Can't wait to see the next video! Congrats to Jake's brother on the nice buck!
Nothing like spending quality time with family involving outdoor traditions, congratulations!! God Bless
The first day traditions are awesome. Straight up quality hunting with THP.
Got my first deer on an opening day gun season in Wisconsin, it really is like a statewide holiday. Local owned places shut down, school is out, orange is hanging on the front porches to air out, and folks are grabbing last minute items at the sporting goods stores...it is like Christmas eve for hunters. Then, just as depicted here, at legal light, the shots start ringing out.
I heard more shots in this video then my entire rifle season so far lol. Congrats!!!
NYSoutherntierOutdoors where about brother? I’m from Conklin just outside of Binghamton
Great show! One of my favorites. You did a really good job of capturing the whole experience and vibe. It gave me that feeling of gun opener all over again!
Great video. I have been waiting for this since last years' vidoe. I have been all about the bow hunting for a big buck like a lot of us the last several years. This video really shows the tradition of Wisconsin gun season that we are so blessed to be a part of. We have a group of us old friends that get together every year at a friend's cabin for the 4 day WI. T zone doe season next week. It's obviously not about a trophy but the time in the woods and camp with friends making memories. I look forward to that while hanging in a tree waiting out a big buck. Great video Jake! Watched it twice already!
I love opening morning, deer camp and family - great story!
Holiday is definitely the move for anything related to deer hunting. Lived in Ripon my whole life. Place is amazing.
Always look forward to this video. I hunt a large traditional Northern Michigan camp. It's my favorite hunt of the year. I don't think a lot of people understand what a real deer camp is like. Deer camp is different than just deer hunting, but I like it more for different reasons. I am lucky, we have 2000 acres, about 20 guys. Lots of fun, lots of tradition, always a fair amount of shooting.
Hi I'm not a hunter . I really love watching all this!❤💚💜💙🇺🇸
Caught 28.5 pound Albacore Tuna... 90 miles out 🇲🇽 San Diego. That's a big rush & very hard to pull. (Had no gear hold my pole) was so fun. I'm 64 now that was 1977.
❤💚💜💙💛💟Love your hunting! Thanks for taking time to film & show me. Plus your videos are very easy nice no blasting music killing the ambience! Thanks❤Had fun. I watch HowToHunt and night crew very cool too! Glad I found you people!💟 Suze in Reno
Spent some time in Madison WI last fall. Coming from Ontario, CAN. Met a few people and realize were basically the same people. Blue collar, work hard play hard, and live for little moments like this every fall. Right on boys
Congratulations to your brother always a great time hunting with family
Thank you for the video. Some of favorite memories are of deer season in Wisconsin as a kid. When I tell my friends hear in Mississippi about the holiday atmosphere of deer season, they have trouble believing me.
Congratulations On A Awesome Buck ! Gotta say I love how near the end of the video your filming is Wonderful. Off to the side you get footage of the Buck in the canoe from different angles. Just Awesome Work Brothers ! Thats One More Reason I Absolutely Love Your Channel and Thats Why I Feel Your The Best There Is ! God Bless Each Of You !!!
Awesome hunt and family time! That's what it's all about! Congratulations to your brother! Awesome Jake!
Congrats to your brother on a good one!! Awesome to spend time with family! Looking forward to these hunts!
Wisconsin Pride!!! Oh mannnnn, we are 4 days away from 2020 opener and Jake’s video is getting me all TED fired up 🔥!!!!!
Another great video, I was bummed when you guys didn't get a crack at the nice buck last year, but glad you connected this year. Please keep sharing this day with us, it's an awesome spot and I really enjoy watching.
Gotta love family deer camp! Well done!
very few things hold a candle to deer-camp 🎯THP💪🏼
Just like last year I REALLY enjoyed this one. No siblings and Dad passed away 02', his ashes are in two different properties that he loved to hunt. Look forward to slug season every year-Solo.
Jake thanks for sharing your family traditions! Very cool!
The pleather, blaze-orange hat is the best hat ever on a THP episode.
I can honestly say it is one of my favorite time's of the year. The older I get the more meaningful these times are. It all started with my Dad who bought the 15 acres; 40 years ago. then came the kids they started sitting with us when they were 10. 40 years yes much has changed but the tradition continues on. Its all about being safe and making MEMORIES. I am blessed. Thank you Jake for capturing the memories.
Absolutely wonderful reading your comment. So awesome. I may have to show up and have a hippo burger and meet you all.
You raised wonderful children Sherry. You should be very proud. Your son Jake is doing great things sharing his knowledge and keeping the tradition alive, and showing people how to do it right. Thank you.
Wonderful Sherry ! Truly Blessed ! I unfortunately was physically n mentally abused till 17. On the other hand I was Blessed with a Son. I introduced him to Deer hunting at a Very young age. Now I will be 63 on Dec. 18th and We still hunt together when we can. God Bless You and Thank You
Good family fun. Hopefully the property stays in the family and enjoyed for many years to come.
Your dad is smiling down from Heaven watching his family enjoying the property he bought. Here’s to many more enjoyable years and hope the family stays strong and the old trailer hangs in there for a few more seasons.
