The person my heart goes out most to is Lex, Smallville really brought out sympathy for him in general I think, it also made me very mad with Clark, all of his drama he created for himself, judging Lex for being secretive and dishonest while lying himself in the same breath. Lex living a life of betrayal and sadness, nearly everyone he loved abandoned or betrayed him, his mother let him take the blame for Julianne, his father was rough to him because of that, so many people lying to him.
OMG, I actually have tears in my eyes, that was so powerful! I miss the Clex, the looks, the hugs, the smiles, the UST... This was absolutely beautiful, thank you so much for making it!
@hypnosegirl16 You know what bugged me a lot as well? When Clark would simultaneously judge Lex for keeping secrets from him while lying through his teeth about his own and how everyone around him that knew would forgive and condone and excuse Clark of anything while simultaneously holding every flaw against anyone else.
Lex was good at heart. Considering all he had already gone through its amazing he didnt go completely evil way before the 7th season. and Clark gaslighting him for years was the final nail. Had Clark told Lex a couple seasons in like he did Pete I dont think Lex would of ever went dark.
@hypnosegirl16 Isn't it though? I actually feel more for Lex then Clark, the soap opera drama that played out in the show for all of those years, Lex struggling to fight the evil that was in him and Clark trying to fight his ability to do good because he wanted to be a normal farm boy instead, remember when Clark saw inside Lex's mind and saw that he still had Alexander in him, the one who wanted to do good and promised he'd never give up on him, did you ever see him try after?
@eondarkstar I think that the final straw for Clark was Lex pushing Lionel out the window. I think Clark should have confided in Lex from the beginning. In every situation where Lex found out, he kept Clark's secret hidden. Still, even though he tried to kill Clark in the Fortress in season 7, he didn't tell anybody else. I think he more than proved he could be trusted in that aspect b/c he loved Clark. They were best friends which makes it all the more tragic.
OMG. Wow this is just awsome. Watching it is painfull, as their relationship disintigrates to the words in the song. Truly amazing job with the clips and the editing. I'm now off to watch some happy Clark and Lex scenes..*snif*
AWWWWWW that was wonderful! this song always give me shivers and you picked the right scenes with it. Your editing is just great. *claps* I want to make a clexy vid now.
And the Kents wouldn't even give him a chance because of his family even though Johnathan dealt with Lionel personally, Clark even refused to believe in Lionel after he was willing to kill himself to save Martha, though when he saw what his alternative self had been Clark absolved Tess of it being how she was raised but never said so to Lex. I can understand how Lex turned out the way he did, Clark promised to help him but didn't really put as much effort in to it as he did for others.
WAAAAAAAAAAAA! I cry for them! And I love you a billion times for your comments :) I could've thrown a party when I found out about Kon-El. They should make another Superman Saga (with different actors obviously) and lead everything up to the moment when Clark finds out that Lex "bred" a clone of himself and Clark. I want a tragic love story (like it is obiously) with loads of angst. The producers are all just to chickenshit to go through with it :)
OMFG!! THis never showed up in my stupid sub box!! I am so mad!!! Clex are only my fave thing in SV for goodness sake!!! This is so amazing!! I loved the voice overs!! Aaww I'm crying now!!! It's so beautiful!!! I miss them so much!!! Anywho, you are awesome!!! More Clex please!!! LOL :D
WOW. This is painful. Beautifully painful. I loved their friendship so much and I am such a Lex supporter, what a tragically beautifully flawed person. Gorgeous video. Great tribute to them. Totally support the twisted, iconic friendship. *sighs*
Great video. Love the scenes you picked. I actually stopped watching Smallville after season two because it just dragged on soo long. Now years later I find out, there were actually 10 seasons. Wow. They jumped the shark long before reaching number 10 I guess? Still, I always had a soft spot for Clark and Lex as a couple. And I still think, things between them would have gone better, had Clark just told Lex the truth and stopped lying to him. His secrecy drove Lex to obsession and insanity, doing a lot of regrettable things.
i always wonder what would have happened if clark would have told lex the truth about everything. would they still be friends? would lex have protected lex secret or exploit him? i think their path would be differently. lighter. they could have been best friends in my opinion. but michael rosenbaum is the perfect lex luthor. tom welling and kristin kreuk are also amazing actors
Meanwhile, Clark got all the love he could want and spent years with his Lana drama, trying to avoid doing what his father wanted him to do, to be what he eventually became and blaming his biological father for everything along with the Kents, demanding him to do whatever was in his power despite warnings of consequences then blaming him when the consequences came. Even when Clark changed his mind about his mother he still looked down on his father for a time after that.
@eondarkstar I wasn't always Clark's biggest fan because of his hypocritical tendencies. He should be the last person to accuse anyone of lying. Trust is something that is shared on a two-way street. I genuinely believe that if Clark had told Lex all of his secrets at any point before season 4, he would have never turned evil. I do feel sorry for Lex b/c he could have had an entirely different outcome. I think Clark misses the old Lex, but he saw him as a lost cause after season 7.
@hypnosegirl16 And even when Martha saw a good side in him, when he was willing to die to save her life and protect and provide for Clark he was still so judgmental, 'Lionel never does anything that doesn't benefit him in the end', what benefit does he get out of being dead? All of his whining and complaining it is a wonder when someone didn't feel like ever putting on Lex's ring and sucker punching Clark themselves.
@hypnosegirl16 They did the same thing with Lionel too, they were so angry with him they wouldn't have cared if he had died anyways and they hadn't suffered a fraction by him as Lex had because Lionel thought that Lex had killed his infant brother and when Clark was affected by kryptonite he attacked his adoptive father who he considered to be his 'real' father though not his true father, but of course he was touched by a rock so he is totally forgiven but a lifetime of abuse no.
@hypnosegirl16 Yea but when Clark did the same, of course it was all smoothed over by everyone else, never his fault it's the kryptonite which shatters his mind, but when someones family is slaughtered or suffered a lifetime of abuse then it is different and when they repent and change there is total skepticism and of course, I was bugged how his adoptive parents made him distrustful of his birth parents and his heritage of where he came from because they didn't want to share him.
@IntrospectiveDebate Are you new to the Superman mythology? Most people know that Lex & Clark are destined to be enemies even if they haven't read the comic books lol (not making fun of you)
@hypnosegirl16 I think he played like a final straw in breaking Lex there, after all the lying Lex had him there hand in the cookie jar dead to rights no talking his way out of the fortress when he had seen it, earlier on Lex yea had really only been doing the same Clark was doing, he was looking in to things he knew weren't as they appeared just like Clark was but Clark felt that he was above anyone being allowed to do that to him, even like how he tried to do with other heroes.
"When we first met ... you inspired me." What a nice thing to say, yet its so sad hearing it from Lex.
The person my heart goes out most to is Lex, Smallville really brought out sympathy for him in general I think, it also made me very mad with Clark, all of his drama he created for himself, judging Lex for being secretive and dishonest while lying himself in the same breath. Why would feel sorry he made his bed, and was proud to be in it
The potential to become a legendary friendship but sadly it grew into a legendary rivalry
this was so beautiful
OMG, I actually have tears in my eyes, that was so powerful! I miss the Clex, the looks, the hugs, the smiles, the UST... This was absolutely beautiful, thank you so much for making it!
I believe that if Clark told lex about his powers early on, lex would protect him
Gosh I cannot explain in words how much I love this tv show! And this was one of the best videos I've seen about Lex and Clark
this show gave good points for both clark and lexs side on things great tribute of the show.
At least all the bromance throughout the show led to them becoming friends in real life
dude at 3:04 that hits when the "I've been alone all along" and they're punching eachother OUCH MY HEART
Of course Lex is the bad guy, but he's right in one thing.... Clark has always lied to him and never trusted him
Wow!!! Really really beautiful!! Awesome work and great Music!! Love Clex forever!!
Lex was good at heart. Considering all he had already gone through its amazing he didnt go completely evil way before the 7th season. and Clark gaslighting him for years was the final nail. Had Clark told Lex a couple seasons in like he did Pete I dont think Lex would of ever went dark.
Hell, even during season 3 if Clark had told him, he might not have gone dark
Well that was emotional! This is beautiful, well done
@hypnosegirl16 Isn't it though? I actually feel more for Lex then Clark, the soap opera drama that played out in the show for all of those years, Lex struggling to fight the evil that was in him and Clark trying to fight his ability to do good because he wanted to be a normal farm boy instead, remember when Clark saw inside Lex's mind and saw that he still had Alexander in him, the one who wanted to do good and promised he'd never give up on him, did you ever see him try after?
cried so hard it became audible . well done * sniffles*

@die4frodo Are you talking about when Lex walked by Clark at Lionel's funeral or when Clark punched Lex in what I think is season 5?
it's from 5.02 "mortal" :)
what episode is 2:20 - 2:24 from?Tell me please
@IntrospectiveDebate Are you new to the Superman mythology? Most people know that Lex & Clark are destined to be enemies even if they haven't read the comic books lol (not making fun of you)
What episode is that last clip from? (the one in the ice cave)
3.19 "memoria"
When I was young, I found myself gravitating more towards Lex, not Superman. Moral superiority was never attractive to me.
What's the name of the show? :)
VickyMausiii smallville
@hypnosegirl16 Feel like taking this conversation to a more easily discussed and less public venue?
@eondarkstar Sure, you can send me a message through my channel . I love talking about the Clark/Lex tragedy.
Clark & lex... xDDD i thought before i watched it it will be a gay-video xDDD
Clex>Clana
opinions like that are perfectly disgusting.
This was nice, except a little gay sometimes, which is perfectly disgusting
