I have an very basic yet cannon lore of isle. 1.The Blue Mantis comes on the planet earth and creates this island , with it she creates a lot of alomanies , the most important are the 3 behemoths , the feathered serphent which is the main collosil , the scaled serphent , and the gem serohent . Each one of them serve an role . To protect the island , to prevent anything from entering and leaving the island , and to protect the underground / altar? 2.After the mantis creates the island , a group of primitve people populate the island , the blue mantis has no problem what so ever with her and prefer to not use her tehnoligy . 3 The most bad and sad part , B-corp , an very advanced corporation finds this island , upon closer inspection , they gain an BIG interest in it , before B-corp Stealed the island , the blue mantis made sure to make an signal beacon incase anybody needed her help , and she left , leaving the feathered serphent in charge (Polly). 4.B-corp took away the island , they wiped out the primitive people and made Polly leave the island , after that B-corp started to experiment... 5.The island started to go unstable and go downhill , an cargo ship crashed into the island behind the lighthouse due to faulty neglicence , an cargo plane crashed into the grandlake spilling millions of ammo crates into the sea , an fire at the warehouse burns 85% of the resources needed for the island crew to survive , and at last.. The lab , the most important , also was a victim of this , stanley , an corrupt prisonier hold in the lab that turned into an monster broke contaiment , thus making an panic in the lab , at last every personel died in the island due to the monster , leaving the parasite known as the frog to infect these dead personel turning them into cold blood zombies that nothing can stop them until they die. 6.Then , Alice attacks transport 2 , our ship , making it crash into the isle , leaving us to defend agaisnt it. B-corp takes full action by sending mercenaryes so we dont leak this island nor uncover its dark truth . After doing the truth , and returning , as canon every npc would recocnize you , when you are in the ship all of the guards look at you , dissapointed of you coming back to the fabricated world , stanley , is also very iritated at this and constantly tries to kill you even in daylight , B-corp also notices this and recocnises you , and sends the mercenaryes , stronger then before , its like //IVORY-MIND/ is controling them so it would be harder for you yo guide other people out of the simulation.
I’m confused because once we do the truth, we escape the simulation. But does that mean that we have always been in the simulation? Even from when we enter the island? Does this mean that the mercenaries are also in the simulation with us because they’re able to attack us on the island?
The Unknown does have himself mentioned, the modifier implies that he is a curse of the island and that it's a lot more intelligent and quite powerful. I have 2 theories about how he came to the island. The first is that he could have been there even before mantis as a true curse of the island implying that the island was haunted from the beginning. My other theory was that he was another test subject like how stan was (possibly test subject B) but he isn't documented anywhere like how stan is so I am leaning a lot more towards the first thing. I think the unknown is very docile until it sees someone who is pure evil (like me killing a bunch of people for fun) which could prove is it really is a curse of the whole island because it isn't hunting for food but rather for evil
I think your idea of the curse is correct, but mantis made the island, so how did he get there before her? maybe he is an anomaly, however I don't think trusting the modifier description is wise because modifiers seem to not be canon (isle +, ohisle, etc.) I could be wrong

I have a feeling in the Curse Modifier. Every prisoner there are people who have committed very vile and heinous crimes before coming to the island, so the Unknown decides to punish them by killing them.
Following Stan’s theory of becoming “corrupted” it might be a good/vengeful spirit coming after those who were like Stan and bringing it up to the answer that I think is right and that the Unknown is a vengeful entity most likely killed by Stan but there was a error in the coding not letting his spirit leave the isle but rather be stuck there. Still seeking for its revenge, it also seems to be intelligent well atleast smarter then Stan as instead of attacking from the front like Stan where it would get shot it attacks from behind
Something to add about the Giver. In his mirror dimension, off in the distance you can see a strange island in the distance. It's the same island seen from the Sky // Space Boundary dimension from Badorkbee's other game 'Rulost'. The game shares a tad bit of lore with Isle, mainly that B-Corp seems to have some influence on whatever goes on in that game. My idea is that during the events of Rulost, while B-Corp was dimension hopping, the found the Isle that Mantis had created. Seeing that there was life on the Isle, they decided to set a base to experiment on the islanders before making them all perish due to their experimentation. This dimension hopping may have been though desperate attempts of B-Corp trying to find a suitable place for humanity to exist (in their minds at least) to escape what had happened to the Earth and humanities near extinction as explained in Isle. However, B-Corp couldn't just send a shipment of humans to the isle in case of a risk of them dying off. So they created at snapshot of the Isle, an exact replica of what they found. This might explain why we can never truly escape the isle, instead being sent back to the prison (which serves as both a figurative and metaphorical purpose of the player being trapped), in order for the simulation to not break. Going back to the Giver, I don't think he originated form the Isle, seeing as he has a connection between Isle and Sky // Space Boundary. I believe that he is an anomaly, a digital one at least. We never see him in a physical form, only appearing in the mirror. His manner of talking may be to him not being able to give too much information to the player, as to not break the simulation in any form. Seeing as he is not a physical being, he can't directly interact with the player, only giving items that only exist within the Isle dimension. Also he might be trying to assist us in escaping, just the isle. When we fall asleep and then wake up in the mirror dimension, it might be his way of telling us that there is more outside of the isle. The Sky // Space Boundary Dimension where the mirror dimension lies may be his way of showing us what more is. The name of Sky // Space Boundary might be a metaphorical way to show the barrier between the players mind and the real world. Not sure how much of what I said makes any sense but I found it interesting how Isle and Rulost are connected through the Giver and what that might imply. Feel free to leave your ideas.
my main problem is this theory is cool n all but like... the truth ending confuses me was it real? the ending made me definitely be able to tell that isle was programmed to just punish you for whatever but now it has so much stuff

You guessed it, another reference. What is a summary of what the giver is? The giver is an inspired character/force (not enough evidence to tell) mishmash of references to other IRL culture and art. There is not enough to confirm anything besides possible references.

small correction: stan does have a name, its "Experiment" whenever the mercs encounter it they announce it thru da radio and in the night. the base also says that they have to follow protocols if they encounter "Experiment" roaming around in night 2
it may be called the experiment, but it doesn't have a name other then that (we don't know the name of it other then it being referred to has the experiment)
it's been a while but a personal theory i've always had is that the island simulation was created by B-Corp to test the technology they were developing for the real world. The test subjects were people fighting each other with the gadgets being developed. World war 3 happens and the facility housing the simulation is abandoned with the AI left running, AI gets bored, starts making test subjects left behind kill each other with whatever assets they had left from the testing.
Don’t you people understand, this game is a hint that we are also in exactly the same simulation. And that B-corp owns us right now. Guys, remember reality is not real, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, and good luck.

@The_Isle_Enthusiast the thing that bugs me the most is that there’s an artifact in the lab. The artifact only exists in the simulation, and if the island is a copy of the one in real life, they probably wouldn’t have the artifact in the lab. I don’t know if I’m articulating this well.
I was waiting for this video, I liked it. But I can imagine what would happen if you took absolutely every note and every fragment in the game, and combined them, turning it all into one huge video. It will be a masterpiece.
there are only 22, and they are kinda useless for lore, 80% of them are just hints to the player, like the giver notes don't give lore, they only tell you how to survive his games, and notes like the hot air balloon one only tells you how to escape via the balloon, I called the lore uncomplete because the game isn't finished
(my useless thoughts on the lore of the giver, cause I love this guy), personally I think hes some sort of hacker that managed to escape the simulation, and hack back into it. i think, while being evil, he wants to help the player at the end of the day. i think that he knows that the player is close to actually escaping the simulation, and the 'barrier of time' refers to the fact that the player may escape said simulation soon. just my thoughts.
That would be an interesting development, personally I think the giver is one of the best and 4th wall breaking characters in isle, better then the ivory's

That's basically what I'm saying except that rather than being multiple isles in different areas, it just repeats itself, with the isle continually forming over a set distance, and the sea monster acting as a border
I have some thinking that Ivory Mind and Ivory Lotus is just 2 of many AIs running the entire simulation. Bc I see 2 AI isn't enough to operate them, according to your theories and in reality, if I am using realism to analyze
that's probably the case, and it would make the giver seem more like just another AI, but the only evidence of AI we see is lotus and mind (and maybe giver)
Something is not really right with Mercs (Alpha team at least) You see, B-corp tablet messages priorities the fact that they need to rescue personal, but in reality, looks like all of them was sent to kill people. They dont check the Impact Zone for survivors, dont care about cameras watching them, dont observe items/weapons clearly left in places by human, dont proceed to SSE after all. Maybe thats just confirms that game taking place in simulation, but if we imagine the mercs are real humans, things start to make strange turn... Thank you for reading wall of text🎉

The mercenarie's AI doesn't have to follow the lore, I also think that it would be hard to create an AI that would follow all that lore. So they just made an AI that tries to find and kill the player and the devs hope that people will take the mercenarie's actions as if they were following the lore.
You forgot to mention that the gem serpent is now referred as Agent S. If you go in the game and scroll up in the update logs when the truth was added. This would make sense because you mentioned in the video that the other serpents were lost souls under the command, like B-Corp. not alice though
My theory - What if all of this wasnt real?.. Even the simulation. Imagine you wake from the ship crash and everything you saw, the mantis, the lotus, the ivory mind and alice was just a... Dream. And you wake up in the lab as an experiment and you realise YOU are the monster.... Isle 11 will have crazy lore but the last chapter... isle 12 will be about you destroying ivory mind and destroying the simulation. (My theory)

There are a bunch of lore aspects I had no knowledge of after isle 9 released. but it is true lol that the isle lore changed drastically once isle 9 released, I can only imagine how much more different the lore will also be once isle 10 releases lol.
i have a THEORY: the scientist from the facility is actually a scientist, but just really dumb. he decided to take a plane to photograph what the isle looks like but the plane crashed so the dumb scientist survives for a few days and stays in the facility and then dies to frogspawn when we reach there

Some extra lore : 1. Other prisoners on the boat we were on woke up earlier because they are frogs. Also there is video tape with those guards blood and helmets. It tells us that stan can follow in the cave because their guns and helmets where there bonus fact. I think the sea monster is some anti escaping tool to prevent anything from leaving the island . Poly is confirmed that she ain’t ai and we are left with snek. Well snek is complicated he doesn’t have any important matter like an anti leaving. What id in the lore the snek was supposed to hunt u in any cave system not monkeyland but everyone of it. 2. The circle in the jungle represent alot of things like : Mantis, the 3 serpents and the protection. No wonder it has a portal because its there to get around the island . 3. Another thing that bugged me is that we don’t get a continuation of the true ending like i mean sure we escaped but we can t use our imagination to everything like who fucking knows. 4. There is something on that island that is a bigger threat than stan unknown or anything either there is a massive entity that is watching us or the island is dead. Would Blue Mantis and B CORP (the scientists and lab) be in the simulation then? The whole thing is a simulation I get that. As we leave that simulation by doing the truth, we leave everything behind. Which is why I ask that question (Is everything on the island a simulation, including BCORP/the scientists) Like why would they also be in the sim ykwim
If she (blue mantis) created the island, would she be the first thing to enter the simulation? And then the people that inhabited the island were also in the simulation (like us) , then came BCORP?

It makes sense that the artifacts are in the game to help us reach the lotus but it makes no sense as to why we’re on an island where can kill mercenaries .
Unknown is also referred as albino due to its white and black eyes very opposite to the monster, but the Unkown as far as I can tell is actually a creature the locust put there because the nature of human destruction was something he hated and in order to try and promote good behavior over bad ones, "that creature was a punishment for their sins"
B6 is the only creature or anaomly to have known information of why his creation (to prevent the escape) who created them is unknown as people think ivory mind or the scientists who made the simulations added it, either way, he exists for a reason we know, unlike Albino.
Also, the giver, is more accurate to be a hacker of the system and has no affiliations with B-CORP. His existence or creation is unknown, he is either a A.I virus or a person who managed to survive from the unknown wipe of the human race.
Nice video , tho a lot of things are missed , and some are badly explained , like the unknows , the unknown is another entity like stan created by the flower [aka the guy you give the art's to , i'll just call him the flower] , we can guard that information up by the 1 lost record , which in the middle states "we've encountered 2 enteties , both by the same creator" , but this record was in like isle 7 , so we cant be sure , aswell as if you think the flower may not be the creator , who else? It cant be the head , he likes murderer , why would he kill someone doing his job , but the flower doesnt , so he sends the unknows , or also called alberto , which was found in a recording in isle 6 , but all and all , mainly i'd say its a good video.
Its kinda confusing to me on what the mercs are because if in the real world B-Corp exists than what is the simulation version of B-Corp's mercenaries supposed to be? Are they also human and stuck in the Simulation? Or are they bots or agents that IVORY also created?
The simulation side of things is still really confusing, but I think that the events in the simulation happened in the real world at one point, so B-Corp made the simulation to analyze and test the past events to see how to move forward, but they failed, and humanity ended (for some reason), so the simulation was just left running without anyone on the outside monitoring it
I love that game, stan from identity fraud is why the fans named the monster in isle "stan". eventually the devs confirmed (probably not canon, but still) this name by making a stanabanana collectable
Honestly I think you where sent to the facility because you where going to get tested on. Because some frogspawn have prison jumpsuits. But by the time you arrive it seems like they recently attacked because of how the scientist was still alive.
Hi Enthusiast! I have a question. So I read the description and it says that there is a game called penumbra and I was wondering what it is because I have never heard of it before.
@@BeatBassBros Penumbra was worked on waay back after isle 8 dropped, but development for it was paused in favor of isle 9. Penumbra is actually almost done, it just has a huge optimization issue and some other stuff to wrap up. It'll probably get worked on again after Isle 11.
(heavy spoilers obviously) my interpretation of the lore,,, i think the isle was a real, tangible place at one point, as implied by polly in her dialog. you being taken prisoner and stan and everything was all real but of course, for some reason we dont know, b-corp kidnapped literally all of humanity and put everyone in the simulation every non-human being (ie agents, polly, mantis, etc) were also transferred into the simulation,,, somehow,,,,,,, heavily implied in the dialog in day 6, the simulation is a cycle, constantly recording and repeating itself basically what b-corp did, is set up a simulated version of the real events, with real people put into it, giving the ivories control of it after they couldnt anymore what this did, is allow b-corp to study how the paths diverge on each cycle, the people discovering the endings we see ingame and this eventually spiraled into all of humanity being captured, hundreds of years passing, and the events of the game playing out
Hey uh I just now realised this but the scribed rune actually talks about the unknown, it literally says it right there that those who kill fellow humans will be punished by the spirits of the island
while that is compelling evidence for being the unknown, I didn't include it because that still doesn't answer what the unknown is (other than a spirit meant to punish players)
My interpretation of the lore and the events in order: 1: The island that would soon harbor countless tragedies and horrors is fabricated by Blue Mantis, who; using an unknown aspect of advanced technology far beyond our own, creates the three Colossi, or “guardians” with strict instructions to defend the island from hostile invaders. Leaving Polly, the feathered serpent as the head Colossi of the island to maintain balance and control of the island in her absence. Somewhere in-between the island’s fabrication and B-Corporation’s subsequent arrival, a group of primitive humans would discover the island and, by means that are unknown to us, contact Blue Mantis, requesting permission to inhabit the island. Which she allowed, even going as far as setting up a beacon in case the tribespeople ever required her intervention. Not long after this, perhaps a few years, the Island would capture the interest of B-Corporation, who were enraptured by the unusual activity from anomalies present on the island. With the “Go-Ahead” given by their higher-ups, B-Corp operatives and staff would land on the island, beginning to set up a base of operations. During this time, B-Corporation personnel, either through orders or out of their own will, began to eradicate all the former inhabitants, perhaps viewing them as a threat to the potential life-changing scientific opportunity that they had come for. This resulting in bloody conflicts that ended with B-Corporation soldiers wiping out the colony. Despite the clear message that B-Corporation was going to either drive them off the Island, or kill them all trying, they did not wish for Blue Mantis to interfere. However, despite their victory, things would not go smoothly for the new owners of the island, who quickly became plagued with problems. Polly, who at the time was still under instruction to defend the island, used her powers to summon a massive storm, the storm would ravage the island for days on end, and end up causing serious problems. A vessel, disguised as a civilian freight liner, would lose all visibility in the storm, despite the lighthouse being lit, they would run aground, causing irreparable damage to the hull of the ship and permanently confining it there. While B-Corp was able to salvage majority of the ship’s cargo, the ship itself could not be salvaged. But it would not end here, as the storm would claim another, as a cargo plane carrying vital munitions and vehicles would be hit by the storms severe winds, driving it out of the sky and into the lake, spilling hundreds of ammunition crates into the surrounding waters, further setting B-Corporation back. In an desperate attempt to salvage their operations, B-Corp would move their laboratory underground, forcing Polly to abandon the island to avoid being found and experimented upon, which ended the storm. B-Corp would bring their experimentations over the course of a few months, before a patrol on the coast would discover three bodies of humanoid creatures along the shoreline. Examination of these unconscious beings would reveal technological advances far beyond theirs, and thus saw an opportunity. With orders given from the higher-ups, these “Parasites” were moved to any stasis chamber available at the time, where they too would be experimented upon and their weapons analyzed for further information about how they operated. During these tests, the scientists would discover a unique spore system within the body of the parasite inside the facility, named; “FROG”, which was studied further upon over the years. But this would not last, as a fatal error in judgment would result in a catastrophic incident, releasing the spores into the ventilation system inside the laboratory and converting most into the Hivemind of the Frogspawn. With no one left to maintain security, it wouldn’t be long before another research subject, “Stan” would breach containment, causing a mass evacuation event. One scientist, who either didn’t make it in time or couldn’t, was left behind, having no other choice, he returned to the facility, where he would soon die when we arrive. But despite the setbacks, B-Corporation remained persistent, they commissioned a prison barge to transport inmates on death row to the island, hoping that at least SOMETHING of scientific value could be produced from their efforts and failures. But once more, just like every other attempt… they would be met with failure…
blue mantis was responsible for the creation of b-corp and a lot of their things you can find tapes in facilities with a specific "m#####" talking, highly likely to be mantis given her involvement in b-corp (the m guy was also responsible for like half of the things in the facility or something) and the fact she was going to state her true name "m-" before stopping for whatever reason

Im going to add onto the pile of info in the video now cause i cant stand to see some of this go unmentioned: 1. the unknown is an ancient spirit worshipped by the tribe that used to live on the island who would punish those who seek harm unto others 2. Its possible the mercenaries have a history with the island, as a collectable on the rock A(?) shore is a photo of the group A mercenaries posed on a beach (possibly the very same one its found on) 3. in one of the rooms you need to shoot a window to get into, theres a spilled black chemical under a UV light with a warning label saying to not touch it. its possible that its an experimental chemical used on stan that would make him go rabid, especially so since stan doesnt like light, and the sun emits UV rays. 4. Its possible that the parasites were made by B-corp, as they have schematics for their armor, and during the beach incident, they shut off almost like robots, and were captured by B-corp. that could possibly mean they're mechanical in nature, created by B-corp and the incident was just a test run to see how theyd do. it could be that they were intended to be either weapons of war, or guardians of the island during disruptions of peace. thats all i have to add
1. this sounds like something isle would do, but can you provide evidence? 2. true, but we have to keep in mind that there are also other collectables that would break the game lore if they were canon, like the stanana doll and the picture of the mercs, so it might not be canon 3. yeah, stan hates UV, but that doesn't add to much to his lore, he still thinks on his own accord since there is no one putting chemicals on him when we arrive, and I doubt it lasted that long 4. I think the schematics of their armor is B-Corp testing their armor, not creating it, B-Corp is full of greedy scientists who just want to test and learn, and their high tech weaponry is nothing like B-Corp has, so it's unlikely they can make those super weapons and yet not make any for themselves

The note details the process of calling upon the spirits in the hand by villa (something along the line of being cloaked with a flame in hand) and says beware those who seeks harm upon others, as the spirits of the island will seek revenge
My theory is that since in the entrance to lab has a computer screen tracking the activity of the pylons, I bet since B-Corp doesn't understand them I bet they tried to keep tabs on them, building on them etc. to try and understand it (Just a theory)
Well, i think as he mentioned, the tribals like to paint, and how they painted the lines on walls, eyes and stuff they painted the pylons as in the video it was mentioned that the pylons are a sort of beacon to allert mantis of the coming of parasites and/or mercs

@@The_Isle_Enthusiast i have a theory that stan is actually ivory mind, the resemblance is insane, and the b corp in the isle is a new generation of b corp that isnt aware of the simulation... unknown is ivory lotus when he is fed up of your stuff and decides to kill you in order to teach you a lesson.. thats why unknown is faster and stronger than stan.., given that he can one shot you and isnt sensitive to light (island curse)
you know what the best part is ? that nothing makes sense because its just a simulation existing on the isle with the meaning of keeping you "trapped" is the lore in isle relevant even if its all a simulation that's meant to keep you in? why would the second part of the orbit (which is still being worked on) considered the second final ending if its a simulation ? (since allways after 6 days you would just end up in the lobby unless you go to the real world with mantis) the whole simulation thing just makes everything go to mess like why would ivory mind make a system that shuts down the simulation after 6 days (what i was saying here is that until isle got out of control they didn't shatter time and space entirely in the simulation because why wouldn't they just keep rewinding 6 days past to keep the players in ealier? maybe they were still catching the others in the real world but is it such a coincedince it happened while the crash happened and other stuff?) since its probably coded in a computer they should be able to rewind time right ? so none of the incidents on isle could happen we know very well they can communicate with the people in the simulation too judging by "the stranger" (ivory lotus) which appears on death randomly its worth noting too you can't die on the isle that's all i guess i don't know what else to point out goodluck on understanding whatever tf i just said lol

demo's grenades are a bit annoying, while I don't plan to do a strat for the impact zone, I can give you some tips, after you kill the first wave with whatever guns you can find (I would recommend an ammo crate from around the boat if you can find one), and a scoped rifle from the watch tower looking over grand lake) take the lvl 3 keycard dropped by the mercs, and use it to hide in the ship rooms, in there you are safe from demos grenades, just be ready to use the combat shotgun on ghost when he gets in...

Assuming that the world outside of the True Lab is some post-apocalyptic/MAD world, and everyone in the True Lab are humanity’s survivors… - Why would they hook themselves up to a simulation made to torture them? To prep them for surviving the real world? - Are the other people you see in the pods all playing this prisoner-trapped-on-a-cursed-island simulation, or is everyone in a different simulation? If they’re all in the same simulation, are they all prisoners? I'd argue, no, the lore of the world inside the simulation, and the entities within it (Mantis and B-Corp and other stuff) doesn't really matter given it's all fake. The Giver MIGHT be important though as it seems to be an AI or someone outside the simulation.
Maybe //IVORY-MIND// will see you as worthy of escaping the simulation since you endured so much and worked so hard despite the difficulties in order to get out of the simulation

I have an very basic yet cannon lore of isle.
1.The Blue Mantis comes on the planet earth and creates this island , with it she creates a lot of alomanies , the most important are the 3 behemoths , the feathered serphent which is the main collosil , the scaled serphent , and the gem serohent . Each one of them serve an role . To protect the island , to prevent anything from entering and leaving the island , and to protect the underground / altar?
2.After the mantis creates the island , a group of primitve people populate the island , the blue mantis has no problem what so ever with her and prefer to not use her tehnoligy .
3 The most bad and sad part , B-corp , an very advanced corporation finds this island , upon closer inspection , they gain an BIG interest in it , before B-corp Stealed the island , the blue mantis made sure to make an signal beacon incase anybody needed her help , and she left , leaving the feathered serphent in charge (Polly).
4.B-corp took away the island , they wiped out the primitive people and made Polly leave the island , after that B-corp started to experiment...
5.The island started to go unstable and go downhill , an cargo ship crashed into the island behind the lighthouse due to faulty neglicence , an cargo plane crashed into the grandlake spilling millions of ammo crates into the sea , an fire at the warehouse burns 85% of the resources needed for the island crew to survive , and at last.. The lab , the most important , also was a victim of this , stanley , an corrupt prisonier hold in the lab that turned into an monster broke contaiment , thus making an panic in the lab , at last every personel died in the island due to the monster , leaving the parasite known as the frog to infect these dead personel turning them into cold blood zombies that nothing can stop them until they die.

After doing the truth , and returning , as canon every npc would recocnize you , when you are in the ship all of the guards look at you , dissapointed of you coming back to the fabricated world , stanley , is also very iritated at this and constantly tries to kill you even in daylight , B-corp also notices this and recocnises you , and sends the mercenaryes , stronger then before , its like //IVORY-MIND/ is controling them so it would be harder for you yo guide other people out of the simulation.

The Unknown does have himself mentioned, the modifier implies that he is a curse of the island and that it's a lot more intelligent and quite powerful. I have 2 theories about how he came to the island. The first is that he could have been there even before mantis as a true curse of the island implying that the island was haunted from the beginning. My other theory was that he was another test subject like how stan was (possibly test subject B) but he isn't documented anywhere like how stan is so I am leaning a lot more towards the first thing.
I think the unknown is very docile until it sees someone who is pure evil (like me killing a bunch of people for fun) which could prove is it really is a curse of the whole island because it isn't hunting for food but rather for evil
I think your idea of the curse is correct, but mantis made the island, so how did he get there before her? maybe he is an anomaly, however I don't think trusting the modifier description is wise because modifiers seem to not be canon (isle +, ohisle, etc.)

I have a feeling in the Curse Modifier. Every prisoner there are people who have committed very vile and heinous crimes before coming to the island, so the Unknown decides to punish them by killing them.

Following Stan’s theory of becoming “corrupted” it might be a good/vengeful spirit coming after those who were like Stan and bringing it up to the answer that I think is right and that the Unknown is a vengeful entity most likely killed by Stan but there was a error in the coding not letting his spirit leave the isle but rather be stuck there. Still seeking for its revenge, it also seems to be intelligent well atleast smarter then Stan as instead of attacking from the front like Stan where it would get shot it attacks from behind
Something to add about the Giver. In his mirror dimension, off in the distance you can see a strange island in the distance. It's the same island seen from the Sky // Space Boundary dimension from Badorkbee's other game 'Rulost'. The game shares a tad bit of lore with Isle, mainly that B-Corp seems to have some influence on whatever goes on in that game. My idea is that during the events of Rulost, while B-Corp was dimension hopping, the found the Isle that Mantis had created. Seeing that there was life on the Isle, they decided to set a base to experiment on the islanders before making them all perish due to their experimentation. This dimension hopping may have been though desperate attempts of B-Corp trying to find a suitable place for humanity to exist (in their minds at least) to escape what had happened to the Earth and humanities near extinction as explained in Isle. However, B-Corp couldn't just send a shipment of humans to the isle in case of a risk of them dying off. So they created at snapshot of the Isle, an exact replica of what they found. This might explain why we can never truly escape the isle, instead being sent back to the prison (which serves as both a figurative and metaphorical purpose of the player being trapped), in order for the simulation to not break.
Going back to the Giver, I don't think he originated form the Isle, seeing as he has a connection between Isle and Sky // Space Boundary. I believe that he is an anomaly, a digital one at least. We never see him in a physical form, only appearing in the mirror. His manner of talking may be to him not being able to give too much information to the player, as to not break the simulation in any form. Seeing as he is not a physical being, he can't directly interact with the player, only giving items that only exist within the Isle dimension. Also he might be trying to assist us in escaping, just the isle. When we fall asleep and then wake up in the mirror dimension, it might be his way of telling us that there is more outside of the isle. The Sky // Space Boundary Dimension where the mirror dimension lies may be his way of showing us what more is. The name of Sky // Space Boundary might be a metaphorical way to show the barrier between the players mind and the real world.
Not sure how much of what I said makes any sense but I found it interesting how Isle and Rulost are connected through the Giver and what that might imply. Feel free to leave your ideas.

it's been a while but a personal theory i've always had is that the island simulation was created by B-Corp to test the technology they were developing for the real world. The test subjects were people fighting each other with the gadgets being developed. World war 3 happens and the facility housing the simulation is abandoned with the AI left running, AI gets bored, starts making test subjects left behind kill each other with whatever assets they had left from the testing.
Now i feel slightly bad for alpha team, although, they are annoying in gameplay, they are "Ill-prepared" meaning they arent ready

@The_Isle_Enthusiast the thing that bugs me the most is that there’s an artifact in the lab. The artifact only exists in the simulation, and if the island is a copy of the one in real life, they probably wouldn’t have the artifact in the lab. I don’t know if I’m articulating this well.
I was waiting for this video, I liked it. But I can imagine what would happen if you took absolutely every note and every fragment in the game, and combined them, turning it all into one huge video. It will be a masterpiece.
there are only 22, and they are kinda useless for lore, 80% of them are just hints to the player, like the giver notes don't give lore, they only tell you how to survive his games, and notes like the hot air balloon one only tells you how to escape via the balloon, I called the lore uncomplete because the game isn't finished
(my useless thoughts on the lore of the giver, cause I love this guy), personally I think hes some sort of hacker that managed to escape the simulation, and hack back into it. i think, while being evil, he wants to help the player at the end of the day. i think that he knows that the player is close to actually escaping the simulation, and the 'barrier of time' refers to the fact that the player may escape said simulation soon. just my thoughts.
That would be an interesting development, personally I think the giver is one of the best and 4th wall breaking characters in isle, better then the ivory's

I have some thinking that Ivory Mind and Ivory Lotus is just 2 of many AIs running the entire simulation. Bc I see 2 AI isn't enough to operate them, according to your theories and in reality, if I am using realism to analyze

Something is not really right with Mercs (Alpha team at least) You see, B-corp tablet messages priorities the fact that they need to rescue personal, but in reality, looks like all of them was sent to kill people. They dont check the Impact Zone for survivors, dont care about cameras watching them, dont observe items/weapons clearly left in places by human, dont proceed to SSE after all. Maybe thats just confirms that game taking place in simulation, but if we imagine the mercs are real humans, things start to make strange turn...

The mercenarie's AI doesn't have to follow the lore, I also think that it would be hard to create an AI that would follow all that lore. So they just made an AI that tries to find and kill the player and the devs hope that people will take the mercenarie's actions as if they were following the lore.
You forgot to mention that the gem serpent is now referred as Agent S. If you go in the game and scroll up in the update logs when the truth was added. This would make sense because you mentioned in the video that the other serpents were lost souls under the command, like B-Corp.

the scientist from the facility is actually a scientist, but just really dumb. he decided to take a plane to photograph what the isle looks like but the plane crashed so the dumb scientist survives for a few days and stays in the facility and then dies to frogspawn when we reach there
he is pretty dumb, he dies even if we protect him from the frogspawn :/

Some extra lore :
1. Other prisoners on the boat we were on woke up earlier because they are frogs. Also there is video tape with those guards blood and helmets. It tells us that stan can follow in the cave because their guns and helmets where there bonus fact. I think the sea monster is some anti escaping tool to prevent anything from leaving the island . Poly is confirmed that she ain’t ai and we are left with snek. Well snek is complicated he doesn’t have any important matter like an anti leaving. What id in the lore the snek was supposed to hunt u in any cave system not monkeyland but everyone of it.
2. The circle in the jungle represent alot of things like : Mantis, the 3 serpents and the protection. No wonder it has a portal because its there to get around the island .
3. Another thing that bugged me is that we don’t get a continuation of the true ending like i mean sure we escaped but we can t use our imagination to everything like who fucking knows.
4. There is something on that island that is a bigger threat than stan unknown or anything either there is a massive entity that is watching us or the island is dead. Any way thanks for reading my comment also not good english sorry.

Unknown is also referred as albino due to its white and black eyes very opposite to the monster, but the Unkown as far as I can tell is actually a creature the locust put there because the nature of human destruction was something he hated and in order to try and promote good behavior over bad ones, "that creature was a punishment for their sins"
B6 is the only creature or anaomly to have known information of why his creation (to prevent the escape) who created them is unknown as people think ivory mind or the scientists who made the simulations added it, either way, he exists for a reason we know, unlike Albino.
Also, the giver, is more accurate to be a hacker of the system and has no affiliations with B-CORP.
His existence or creation is unknown, he is either a A.I virus or a person who managed to survive from the unknown wipe of the human race.

Its kinda confusing to me on what the mercs are because if in the real world B-Corp exists than what is the simulation version of B-Corp's mercenaries supposed to be? Are they also human and stuck in the Simulation? Or are they bots or agents that IVORY also created?
The simulation side of things is still really confusing, but I think that the events in the simulation happened in the real world at one point, so B-Corp made the simulation to analyze and test the past events to see how to move forward, but they failed, and humanity ended (for some reason), so the simulation was just left running without anyone on the outside monitoring it

@@BeatBassBros Penumbra was worked on waay back after isle 8 dropped, but development for it was paused in favor of isle 9. Penumbra is actually almost done, it just has a huge optimization issue and some other stuff to wrap up. It'll probably get worked on again after Isle 11.

i think the isle was a real, tangible place at one point, as implied by polly in her dialog. you being taken prisoner and stan and everything was all real
but of course, for some reason we dont know, b-corp kidnapped literally all of humanity and put everyone in the simulation
every non-human being (ie agents, polly, mantis, etc) were also transferred into the simulation,,, somehow,,,,,,,
heavily implied in the dialog in day 6, the simulation is a cycle, constantly recording and repeating itself
basically what b-corp did, is set up a simulated version of the real events, with real people put into it, giving the ivories control of it after they couldnt anymore
what this did, is allow b-corp to study how the paths diverge on each cycle, the people discovering the endings we see ingame
and this eventually spiraled into all of humanity being captured, hundreds of years passing, and the events of the game playing out

Hey uh I just now realised this but the scribed rune actually talks about the unknown, it literally says it right there that those who kill fellow humans will be punished by the spirits of the island
while that is compelling evidence for being the unknown, I didn't include it because that still doesn't answer what the unknown is (other than a spirit meant to punish players)

My interpretation of the lore and the events in order:
1: The island that would soon harbor countless tragedies and horrors is fabricated by Blue Mantis, who; using an unknown aspect of advanced technology far beyond our own, creates the three Colossi, or “guardians” with strict instructions to defend the island from hostile invaders. Leaving Polly, the feathered serpent as the head Colossi of the island to maintain balance and control of the island in her absence.
Somewhere in-between the island’s fabrication and B-Corporation’s subsequent arrival, a group of primitive humans would discover the island and, by means that are unknown to us, contact Blue Mantis, requesting permission to inhabit the island. Which she allowed, even going as far as setting up a beacon in case the tribespeople ever required her intervention.
Not long after this, perhaps a few years, the Island would capture the interest of B-Corporation, who were enraptured by the unusual activity from anomalies present on the island. With the “Go-Ahead” given by their higher-ups, B-Corp operatives and staff would land on the island, beginning to set up a base of operations. During this time, B-Corporation personnel, either through orders or out of their own will, began to eradicate all the former inhabitants, perhaps viewing them as a threat to the potential life-changing scientific opportunity that they had come for. This resulting in bloody conflicts that ended with B-Corporation soldiers wiping out the colony. Despite the clear message that B-Corporation was going to either drive them off the Island, or kill them all trying, they did not wish for Blue Mantis to interfere.
However, despite their victory, things would not go smoothly for the new owners of the island, who quickly became plagued with problems. Polly, who at the time was still under instruction to defend the island, used her powers to summon a massive storm, the storm would ravage the island for days on end, and end up causing serious problems. A vessel, disguised as a civilian freight liner, would lose all visibility in the storm, despite the lighthouse being lit, they would run aground, causing irreparable damage to the hull of the ship and permanently confining it there. While B-Corp was able to salvage majority of the ship’s cargo, the ship itself could not be salvaged.
But it would not end here, as the storm would claim another, as a cargo plane carrying vital munitions and vehicles would be hit by the storms severe winds, driving it out of the sky and into the lake, spilling hundreds of ammunition crates into the surrounding waters, further setting B-Corporation back.
In an desperate attempt to salvage their operations, B-Corp would move their laboratory underground, forcing Polly to abandon the island to avoid being found and experimented upon, which ended the storm. B-Corp would bring their experimentations over the course of a few months, before a patrol on the coast would discover three bodies of humanoid creatures along the shoreline. Examination of these unconscious beings would reveal technological advances far beyond theirs, and thus saw an opportunity. With orders given from the higher-ups, these “Parasites” were moved to any stasis chamber available at the time, where they too would be experimented upon and their weapons analyzed for further information about how they operated. During these tests, the scientists would discover a unique spore system within the body of the parasite inside the facility, named; “FROG”, which was studied further upon over the years.
But this would not last, as a fatal error in judgment would result in a catastrophic incident, releasing the spores into the ventilation system inside the laboratory and converting most into the Hivemind of the Frogspawn. With no one left to maintain security, it wouldn’t be long before another research subject, “Stan” would breach containment, causing a mass evacuation event. One scientist, who either didn’t make it in time or couldn’t, was left behind, having no other choice, he returned to the facility, where he would soon die when we arrive.
But despite the setbacks, B-Corporation remained persistent, they commissioned a prison barge to transport inmates on death row to the island, hoping that at least SOMETHING of scientific value could be produced from their efforts and failures. But once more, just like every other attempt… they would be met with failure…

you can find tapes in facilities with a specific "m#####" talking, highly likely to be mantis given her involvement in b-corp (the m guy was also responsible for like half of the things in the facility or something) and the fact she was going to state her true name "m-" before stopping for whatever reason

Im going to add onto the pile of info in the video now cause i cant stand to see some of this go unmentioned:
1. the unknown is an ancient spirit worshipped by the tribe that used to live on the island who would punish those who seek harm unto others
2. Its possible the mercenaries have a history with the island, as a collectable on the rock A(?) shore is a photo of the group A mercenaries posed on a beach (possibly the very same one its found on)
3. in one of the rooms you need to shoot a window to get into, theres a spilled black chemical under a UV light with a warning label saying to not touch it. its possible that its an experimental chemical used on stan that would make him go rabid, especially so since stan doesnt like light, and the sun emits UV rays.
4. Its possible that the parasites were made by B-corp, as they have schematics for their armor, and during the beach incident, they shut off almost like robots, and were captured by B-corp. that could possibly mean they're mechanical in nature, created by B-corp and the incident was just a test run to see how theyd do. it could be that they were intended to be either weapons of war, or guardians of the island during disruptions of peace.

1. this sounds like something isle would do, but can you provide evidence?
2. true, but we have to keep in mind that there are also other collectables that would break the game lore if they were canon, like the stanana doll and the picture of the mercs, so it might not be canon
3. yeah, stan hates UV, but that doesn't add to much to his lore, he still thinks on his own accord since there is no one putting chemicals on him when we arrive, and I doubt it lasted that long
4. I think the schematics of their armor is B-Corp testing their armor, not creating it, B-Corp is full of greedy scientists who just want to test and learn, and their high tech weaponry is nothing like B-Corp has, so it's unlikely they can make those super weapons and yet not make any for themselves
but in the end, these are all just theories

The note details the process of calling upon the spirits in the hand by villa (something along the line of being cloaked with a flame in hand) and says beware those who seeks harm upon others, as the spirits of the island will seek revenge

My theory is that since in the entrance to lab has a computer screen tracking the activity of the pylons, I bet since B-Corp doesn't understand them I bet they tried to keep tabs on them, building on them etc. to try and understand it (Just a theory)
Well, i think as he mentioned, the tribals like to paint, and how they painted the lines on walls, eyes and stuff they painted the pylons as in the video it was mentioned that the pylons are a sort of beacon to allert mantis of the coming of parasites and/or mercs

demo's grenades are a bit annoying, while I don't plan to do a strat for the impact zone, I can give you some tips, after you kill the first wave with whatever guns you can find (I would recommend an ammo crate from around the boat if you can find one), and a scoped rifle from the watch tower looking over grand lake) take the lvl 3 keycard dropped by the mercs, and use it to hide in the ship rooms, in there you are safe from demos grenades, just be ready to use the combat shotgun on ghost when he gets in...
Ok, thanks for the tips, me and my friend planned to upgrade the gatling gun and to get shield pack at second day but i dont know if it a really good idea,and the last try , the commander and medic goes behind boat and sniper & gunner goes to jungle so we couldn't find them cuz after we killed gunner and sniper , the commander and sniper literally vanished so i have a question : do we need to lure at some point of the boat ?

it's all a simulation, but that doesn't mean the lore is easy to follow
I believe the real main questions we should be asking are:
- Why is the simulation created to be so horrifying?
Assuming that the world outside of the True Lab is some post-apocalyptic/MAD world, and everyone in the True Lab are humanity’s survivors…
- Why would they hook themselves up to a simulation made to torture them? To prep them for surviving the real world?
- Are the other people you see in the pods all playing this prisoner-trapped-on-a-cursed-island simulation, or is everyone in a different simulation?
If they’re all in the same simulation, are they all prisoners? Or are some of them B-Corp members?
- Are the B-Corp employees, Parasites, Mantis, survivors of the plane crash, and Tribes peoples all real people with a consciousness, or were they all made up by the simulation?
- If B-Corp and everything is all made up by the simulation, are they even real? Does their lore and history matter in the greater lore of Isle if it’s all made up by the AI(

I'd argue, no, the lore of the world inside the simulation, and the entities within it (Mantis and B-Corp and other stuff) doesn't really matter given it's all fake. The Giver MIGHT be important though as it seems to be an AI or someone outside the simulation.
