If this was the standard quality for all tournaments, I think we would all appreciate the real depth of a tennis match. 60fps should be standard now anyways

Auger-Aliassime is really underrated. He always gets overlooked in the 'Next Gen' debate but he's only 22 and has achieved just as much if not more than Sinner lol

@@christianpineda717 friend, that has not to do with the fact that Felix is underrated. You might be right though. But you might be wrong as well. They'd have to play right now to see who would win right now. Focus next time.

**Super pro observation from super pro keyboard warrior washed up tennis player bro**
Felix might've won here but he's got to clean up his footwork if he wants to go deep consistently. Lot of energy in the feet but he's rarely there early with a stable plant and forward weight transfer. He plays a lot of "just in time" tennis. This puts a lot more pressure on raw athleticism and timing. It also means a lot more "swipey" shots that are very spinny, pretty low traj, and lack penetration. By relying so much on timing he's naturally going to miss more over a tournament/season than Sinner or Djokovic. Because his average shot doesn't deal as much damage he goes completely ham on his forehand, swinging for the fences but that just stresses the timing even more. If you watch, even on his forehand "weapon" his weight is so rarely moving in the direction of his shot. It's neutral at best and he's often flying in a completely different direction (not because he's under insane pressure but because he's used to "just in time" footwork). Often, when he takes a big cut, his weight is neutral at best, just swiping it with more aggression. When he does step in and get full rotation he often misses long, not sure why that is. Seems he isn't really able to flatten out his swing plane and isn't comfortable transferring weight forward. He definitely is a lateral/diagonal type of player. He's so damn talented but it just seems his game is on red-line from the first point. It's a tough change though, his movement patterns are basically permanently baked in his muscle memory at this point.
Dimitrov plays similarly, relying on his dynamic athleticism and timing. If we compare his game to Roger's it looks pretty similar but he's definitely not there as early and not as stable as Roger. When he's on, he can make some runs, but it's impossible to sustain.
A good counterexample is Juan Martin Del Potro. Similar height, Juan is 2 inches taller, but he's consistently better positioned and is able to convert the kinetic chain into Thorhands. Early setup and longitudinal weight transfer in the direction of the shot is also a lot easier to coordinate, especially under pressure. It doesn't break down. Seems to me like Felix wants to play that way, big serve and smack the forehand. A little more Delpo in Felix's game would do him wonders.
But what do I know, Toni Nadal is his coach and I'm just a stranger on the yew-toobs.
