Is that about a 60 degree bevel?

The title mentions splay footed, but you didn't talk about it. Does Pony have splayed hoves and it's been corrected? He doesn't appear splayed (or as splayed as I have on my pony). I am just trying to learn about how to help correct or improve.

I have an OTTB whose feet genuinely tend to 'splay' outward, much like your pony. Maybe try not to get too discouraged by people like this who I feel tend to make things more complicated than they need to be. Splayed or not, I think the idea of 'hoof mapping' is kind of silly. I simply keep the hoof walls straight and balanced. It's worked out for us very well for more than 20 years.

Horses feet are not a block of wood.
