I have a question ❓❓ Can the web map being used to create the dashboard fetch data from SQL server directly in a way that when data from SQL server is updated it does so on the dashboard?
WOW, what a question. One i would also want the answer to. But i think yes because remember the layer in the server is hosted and shared with the dashboard. For instance i use layers hosted in AGOL (ArcGIS Online) and any changes i do in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer, if i saved them and then go to my dashboard and reload it, the changes are applied hence that hosted layer is shared with the dashboard. Thats just my experience. Even data from the field, maybe someone captures a pipe breakage in an ArcGIS xls form and shares this to ArcGIS Online or on-premises SQL server (sde) the data can be synched from field to server and from server to all linked applications like a Dashboard. Its a mind blowing experience Sir. This is Odwa in South Africa
The way you presented is great, straight to the point. I watched several tutorial for dashboard but yours was TOP! thank you for sharing your expertise
This is by far the most clear explanation ever, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial
