Looks like good times . Noah I raced as a pro in the mid 90’s till 2003 in x-country , downhill & slalom in Norba series . For me as a x-country racer I would attack from the start & use my moto background to separate the pack in any technical sections , downhills & attack at any climb . If you push hard enough especially on the descents you will break up the groups or discourage anyone to try & keep your pace . X-country mtn biking is all mental & honestly most of those guys have no skills when it comes to technical riding . So best to punish them where’s ur by far stronger then the rest . I once raced lance armstrong at a National in Utah mid 90’s when he was entertaining racing mtn bikes for trek . He was an animal on the climbs but I was much faster on the descents so much more he’d be nearly walking the downhills . My advice to you is attack off the start & let them jockey for 2nd . Plus you’ll get an amazing cardio workout from riding out front to hold the win . If u try to feel out the pack any thing can happen like someone crashing in front of you or a flat or just about anything .
I think you should try getting out front early and managing from there. I think you are faster, so get in front and just pull away at your own pace. The bicycle guys seem scared to be in the lead, but you should be used to it...just take it and run.
Watching this with my kid on the couch. We're making 2 stroke noises.
Awesome for first XC race!
Awesome Job. You did great!!

Nice work Noah! It can't do anything but help conditioning.

I might have missed you saying it but how long was the loop? What class did you enter?
Almost 6 miles a lap. They did 12 miles. Dont know what class Noah was in though.
@@matthewsmith5109 12 miles sounds like sportsman. 45 min or so maybe. I didn't catch his overall time.
