I don’t have any of the modulars, but a hospital makes so much sense. They’ve already done police and fire stations, so a hospital completes the first responder group.
The Modular line is one of my favorite themes and yes, it would be awesome to see more global diversity in the buildings. I also think we could use 2 smaller modular sets annually: a 16x32 set. If they'd do that, we could see more variation in styles and types of buildings.
They did add a townhouse to the "bookshop" set without mentioning the townhouse in the title. Hopefully we see a park, car wash or a roof top something-or-other with the set simply called "residential townhouse." I think it would be cool for them to add a swimming pool to the back yard OR, even better, a public pool for the community.
Though a pool in the rear yard of a Lego Modular townhouse would probably look a bit out of place since architecturally, the styles of the buildings are based on the Victorian and Edwardian towns of North America's continental climatic zone (latitudes between North Carolina and Nova Scotia) where the outdoor swimming season is relatively short.
@@Libertaro-i2u well, some are themed like that, the diner and especially palace cinema could easily be LA buildings. And getting a california styled summer themed city. And let's not forget the boutique hotel has a plam tree, also kinda tropical feeling
What's next, demanding our LEGO cities facilitate mixed-zoning areas that properly mix where people live, work, as well as having space for nature and recreation, while also expecting walkable neighborhoods and bus lanes? Those minifigures are going to have a better quality of life than me :(
Over the years when asked the question of what modular collectors would like to see next, I've read/heard Hospital, Record Store, School, Arcade etc... NEVER have I seen/heard ANYONE say, man - I hope they release a Townhouse...
@@sebces2576 No doubt there's bound to be some that are happy with the decision, but we already have a couple of houses, and several apartments with other builds.
The hotel is 1 of the best modulars out there. I love everything about it. The colors, the way you can expend it. Everything. I prolly will buy another 1 when black friday gives us a good deal
As an urbanist, I’m just concentrating on the modulars (my pocket book thanks me) because I love the facade line that they create. Having said that, I adore the Chinese restaurant (which I will turn into a modular), the botanical garden and the cabin just because of the rich detailing. I love your idea of having buildings from different countries (ahem, colonies), but would keeping that street facade line.
I have finally got'n over "get them all" about modulars and havn't got the last two, also getting rid of a select few. Small flat and what Lego I buy, I prefer to build.
A lot of the modular's cram all the living spaces ( bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room) into one or two small rooms. I'd love to see a town home with full bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, etc.
And especially if it's a three story building like Lego Modulars typically are, the house would have room for two to four bedrooms and baths, in addition to a cavernous living/grand room with open kitchen.
Arcades as of right now, are anachronistic. It was a pretty big deal when they pushed the clock forwards the first time, to make the modulars set in the 50s, as opposed to the original style which was very turn of the century.
Hey mate, great video. I have an idea/solution for your modular space dilemma. Similar to myself, have you thought of running a nice presentable plank of timber across the top of your two shelves behind you? I have my Lego street like this with roads and all and it looks fantastic! They'll be up high and out of the way, and of course in view for your viewers with a slight adjustment of the camera panned up a little. You could even start without the plank and have two separate sections of modulars across the top of each shelf. I understand you have some big and beautiful builds on display up there which would need some rearranging. I think it's time you start your modular backlog 😅 Just a suggestion Love your content 👊
I don't think that they should introduce cultural varity in modular building series. They have a theme going and they were faithful to the classical European theme so far. However, they can start a new line of series, like scenes around the world, that would be interesting.
I’m personally really excited for this, I’ve always wanted a modular that was fully residential. It would be really great if the set included a garage and a 1970s Range Rover style car.
I started collecting modular late this year. I have 16 of the 19 official 10 series modular. So I will be buying the townhouse. I agree with others a Hospital 1.5 baseplates would be perfect, including an ambulance and pull through.
Aren’t we supposed to get a corner building this year after two straight modulars in 2022 and 2023? Corner buildings are often different and original, like the Butique hotel, Corner Garage or Brick bank. I’m quite sure this one will stand out
If unbuilt Modulars are your only problem, then you’ve had it good. Yes please stop a modular row in your background somewhere. Also Agreed with what you said about the Star Wars stuff.
Wow! You own one of the Boba Fett Maquettes form the Gentle Giant series! (2:20) I’ve got two of the Lukes, and never known anyone else who owns any of them!
Brick Fanatics had made a commitment to build a modular (the Boutique Hotel possibly 06:08, I can't remember) at 100K subscribers. So many more subs equals building modulars to put it that way.
We’ve seen townhouse as “add-on” in pet shop and book store. Both are smaller sets, and I’d be disappointed if the new modular is really just townhouse without any business or service unit because that limits the interaction among mini figures. I hope, maybe, there is at least a small coffee shop and they did not mention it to avoid confusion with Cafe corner. Also the new set comes with many pieces so maybe there is a car or something.
Really? Of all the unique possible modular ideas, they chose a townhouse. They could have done something like a post office, a hospital, an ice cream parlor, a school, a library, a LEGO store, or a new grocery store.
I’m personally into the marvel builds. I’m hoping for an oscorp skyscraper, but each floor features a bad guy. I look forward to seeing the X-men mansion next month as well. I’m enjoying my three marvel modular buildings and rearranging fight scenes. I’m late to the hobby, but I’m enjoying it. Thanks for the great video.
The designer to the daily bugle (the first modullar compatable marvel building) went on record as saying that the reason the pin holes on that set don't match up perfectly with other modelers is that being compatible was not part of the design remit, so no one double checked it. He added it as an extra/joke, and part of the joke was explicitly the fact that a modern glassy sky scrapper clashes with the modular ascetic. The set is also explicitly designed to easily remove the marvel elements so you can just have a skyscraper (there is a broken wall because the green goblin is grashing through, but the set has all the pieces to repair it, for example).
I think it would be great if we could get something like an old Georgian Town house like when they were designed like staitly homes but in London or in another town or city
I wish they would re,realise some of the older modulars. I only started collecting last year. If you don't know what to do with yours, you can always send them to me.
the modular building for 2025 will be a 1,5 baseplate. it will be a corner building and a hosbital. the gift with purches will be an ambulans. my source? it came to me in a dream.
I would love a new modular... Egyptian or another Middle East architecture would be a nice change of pace indeed... and they would fit nicely in my Stargate steampunkish diorama... 😛
I think it would be cool if it included two houses. One New York style brownstone, and a more colorful one for contrast. If it's just one house, I'd prefer a brownstone. I think the look of a brown and grey building, with maybe some green ivy and foliage growing on it would be cool. Also, as for the contrast between the old buildings of the Creator Expert modulars and the modern buildings of the Marvel modulars, I don't really mind. Because real life cities often have both old and modern buildings coexisting.
Leaks are marketing, so there is no need to stop it. I mean what would you and lots of other LEGO (or other brands) fans make videos about and discuss about without them?
There would be no leaks if there were no insider events for content creators. The leaks are deliberate and usually genuinely vague until last minute before reveal.
I really hope it’s not in style of east coast row homes🤦🏻♂️ I’m designer and I’ve been designing entire line that way purposely cause didn’t exist in lego, just entered first series of houses in BDP, so it would be really sucky coincidence if lego is same style lol
Dude, you're supposed to have a basement with a huge table on which you build a multi-block complete city... Lacking that is why I don't buy modular building kits at all.
I really want a more modern building, not super modern and simple just a normal building made in the 2000s or sometihng. I know it wouldn’t fit in at all with the other buildings but I think it would still be cool
People are so hellbent on ruining the modular line. "More diversity!!" Europe already has the most diverse architecture in the world. "Something modern!" Why?? Modern architecture is almost all ugly and would completely ruin the vibe of the streetscape, as it does in all our cities.

i wish it was a hospital, we need a 1,5 - 2 baseplate 4 story hospital. wanted one for years and years
Then why don't you build one? That's kind of the spirit of LEGO.
I don’t have any of the modulars, but a hospital makes so much sense. They’ve already done police and fire stations, so a hospital completes the first responder group.
You want it you always can build it! Lego can be built to any styles. I have Singapore street style built for myself!

Global diversity, like an african hut or an aztec pyramid?
I think they’re implying something closer to a Egyptian urban home or Brazilian marketplace?
@@austygo3563 Yeah. There's so many awesome building styles over the world. I'd personally love some Caribbean style buildings.

Lego might get around to doing modular schools, hospitals, arcades, bowling alleys, etc.
If you get the Lego city downtown set go on rebrickable brick artisan made an arcade
Aww

I'd like to see a 221b Baker Street set
A line of parade style ‘floats’ would be really really fun for my city
The 2025's modular will almost certainly be a corner. There has been one corner for every 3 years, as you can see below;

2008 (Green Grocer): Inline
2009 (Fire Brigade): Inline
2010 (Grand Emporium): Corner
2011 (Pet Shop): Inline
2012 (Town Hall): Inline
2013 (Palace Cinema): Corner
2014 (Parisian Restaurant): Inline
2015 (Detective's Office): Inline
