#Schmeisser #9mm #BSS2023
It’s been a long wait, I picked mine up on last week and it’s the most fun I have had with a UK spec rifle for years.. previously had a lever release and I prefer this.. very short bolt throw so it’s very easy to shoot quickly and more importantly the lack of recoil makes it’s easy to shoot accurately.. Well done for reviewing one when they are actually available as well.. reviewing gear that won’t land in the uk for years (like some dealers) is blooming annoying
No point looking at things we can't have and I'm looking forward to having some time with this rifle. Everyone seems to love them.
Looks like an amazing rifle, the AR is a great platform and good to know you can own this in the UK. ❤
Spoke to Dustin on the stand, great guy - good move by Edgar Bros.
I live in Queensland Australia but would own this.👌🏻
Can’t import it. Oceania Precision is make a 9mm straight pull though.
I see on the fake news the other night a reporter saying how the Plymouth shooting was down to police negligence and other shootings in the past ,if this is the case ,the right to own handguns and full bore semi's again should be looked into
Lucky enough to pick one these bad boys up 😍
In the uk ?
Yes
Here in Chile we only can Own semiauto Shotguns and rimfire Rifles, It could be great have one of these AR´s, sadly you only see lever action and traditional bolt action ones here, we can own pistols but magazines for rifles chambered in calibers like .223, .308 or similar Rifle calibers are restricted to 10 round magazines.
Phoenix gun range have just acquired one of these for members to shoot.
They’ve got a few on order!
I will stick to getting the Lantac for almost the same price.Full mil spec including the mag where they provide a standard mag that can be loaded with 9mm.You also get an upgraded trigger and the upper receiver is their own milled upper.
lovely watching these videos knowing most of us can never own them 😔
Government making noise this week about yet further legislation... just hope we can continue to have access to these sports firearms,
I was reading about UK gun laws and really, here in Chile we can own pistols up to 45 caliber but magazines in rifle calibers are restricted to 10 rounds.
Makes me happy I have a semi ar15 and glocks at home and carry
Makes me happy I have guns for sporting reasons and don’t live in fear of needing to carry a gun for protection.
@@wyles965 I do sport with them and use for self protection
@@wyles965 When guns are used for what they're intended to be used for 😮
@@uhohstinky5925 being able to stop the scumbag with force is nice.
@@wyles965 guess what, you can have both. Like up here in the Czech Rep. a Very low crime rate yet I can carry pretty much anything semiauto for self-defense incl. AR-15 in the backpack if I feel like it. :) Why ban something if it causes no trouble ;)
Interesting. I've never really given it any thought before, but I guess this must use some kind of locked breech design?
Most semiauto guns of this type would use the straight blowback system, which would wouldn't lend itself to conversion into a straight pull configuration.
Also, I see a little red part on it - are you guys still doing the colored accent pieces on your guns?
Here in the US, that trend has thankfully gone the way of the Punisher skull - only the most plebian ARs have them now.
Is there any way to get the upper by itself? I already have the 223 version and having another upper would be easier legally.
I believe the lower is different to the 223 version so you would need the set.
Get to the chopper
Genuinely asking, What the point of a straight pull 9mm would be? It's not remarkably accurate as a caliber. Sorry I fail to see where it fits into sporting weapons
I mean it would most likely be used in gallery rifle just like 357 and 44 magnum (etc). It’s just a fun gun for plinking and nothing too serious
pistol calibre carbine - gallery. Also potentially opens up PCC for IPSC shooters in the UK, with this or an lever action. 9mm can be accurate, home loads and match ammo certainly lands consistently for those shooting gallery.
It’s the limited availability of 9mm firearms here
@@EnglishShooting I know ruger makes the pc9 rifle it would prob fit your legal firearm laws maybe?
Taking you at your word that you are genuinely interested and not just being sanctimonious, there are plenty of sporting uses for a gun like this.
The 9mm is not the most inherently accurate pistol cartridge, but it is certainly more accurate than most shooters.
As far as common pistol cartridges go, the .38 Special is probably most people's choice for an accurate cartridge, but the rimmed case makes it less than ideal for a magazine fed carbine like this one.
.357 SIG is a very accurate cartridge, but a little obscure. Same goes for. 38 Super.
All things considered, I think 9mm is a fine choice for a gun like this. .45 ACP would be pretty good too.
Nobody will be using a rifle like this as a long range tackdriver. As others have said, it's more for plinking, gallery shooting etc.
