I had breakfast with UA-cam this morning and was pleased to see a new pompano vid on your channel. Thank you. I watched it and said to my wife, "Wife, we need to sell the house and leave St. Johns County for Brevard or Indian River County. Here in NE FL we get SO MUCH murky surf that it makes the pompano runs so hit and miss, and pomps are my fav fish. Sometimes they bypass us altogether both in the spring run north or the fall run south. On the Space Coast we could catch pomps all winter long. And good whiting too. Plus I have my heart set on growing avocado trees which will be easier on the central coast. I'll trade you avos for Janto gear. See ya!
Great video, they are definitely getting fired up 🔥🎣🐟🐟🐟 even more so in your area about this time, some are still around here on the panhandle 🎣🐟🐟, but it's y'all time, hilarious and cute, 😂 I thought little jo jo was going to eat that sandflea,, Stay Safe God Bless,,,👍
I live in Jacksonville I surf fish all the time. I have not been able to add a sheep head yet to my bucket list.I didn’t know you can catch sheep head off the beach. That’s really cool you catching on sand fleas were you using a circle fuck or a J hook or an octopus hook or is that a snail hook?
Anywhere can be good on the right day. You just have to bounce around and find where the fish are. That's where networking helps a lot. Try getting a small group of people. You can fish with and share detailed reports. From melbourne beach down to the inlet, it usually has a deeper trough. North patrick, through canaveral, it usually has shallower beaches, but all of them can hold fish at the right time. Satellite through in the atlantic, it's kind of in the middle, oftentimes there can be a good trough, but sometimes not. That might seem like a long, not answer, but it always changes. The local bait shops will definitely point you in the right direction. As to where the fish have been lately. Stop in there on your way and yeah, you'll probably get some good information. Black dog bait and tackle. Has a couple people that work there that take pompano, fishing very seriously, and will help you out .
Took your advice, Joey, and caught some sand fleas during the outgoing tide and finally caught my first pompano today! Thank you!!

I'm a local to your area. Can you point to a new spot to try out? I typically go over to Eau Gallie near the dog park.
