  • This video provides an overview of Roe v. Wade and criticisms levied against it.
Roe v. Wade is sometimes said to be widely misunderstood and misrepresented in public debate. As such, I focus heavily on the text of Roe v. Wade itself, as written by Justice Harry A. Blackmun.
The goal will be to get clear on what Roe v. Wade says (what conclusions it draws) as well as some of the major arguments it gives in support of the legalization of abortion.

That was a lot… and well done. Thank you for framing this complicated issue in a palatable and digestible course.

Well put-together briefing. I have opinions that are mine, problem is, it’s hard to find readings or videos that are well constructed, non-biased as possible, and give food for thought to the “legal” and constitutional ramifications while leaving emotion out. I don’t want to hear or read an echo chamber; I want to hear the true arguments. You’ve helped provide that.
You said it at the end, you can be pro-choice, but rationally understand this was not the best “opinion” rendered and as Americans, should be faithful to our founding document. Someone who can believe in abortion, but support constitutionalism, is a person you can debate rationally on the topic. All too much today, we have “zero” of that. Too much emotion.

Thank you for this presentation. I think this is about as objective as possible and that's kind of refreshing.

I have a book report on Freedom's Law by Ronald Dworkin. Most videos I’ve found are all politicized and push their agenda. I found your video to only be based on legal facts.
    Thank you!

No, it is not a person at all, inside a mother can the mother decide to have or not to have a baby is inside of a person. People and science call a fetus without the mother is just a fusion, living because the mother.

Funny to hear some religious people use science when it’s on their side yet it’s a conspiracy when it doesn’t. The science says that it’s a life before the parent can feel it move. Same guy “Evolution is false!”
