Parenting in the Sims 4 is easy when they ACTUALLY DO WHAT YOU ASK. Majority of the issues people have seem to come from sims either crossing things off or waiting hours before attempting them.
I know this is late, but stuff is significantly less buggy when you do stuff from controlling the infant. With the infant active, click the parent or object, and they'll be summoned. They don't usually cross it off or derp out. Sometimes, they just *have* to go sit first, but that's pretty mild by comparison
I've had multiple instances where my sim has gone to a different area to fish and had to come right back home because the husband was just not taking care of the infants. I would also have the husband try to actually take care of the kids and he would just pick them up then put them right back down. It was a struggle.
I was so overwhelmed by the infant stage when I got the notification they aged up I was like YES THEYRE GONNA BE CHILDREN AND TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES. Totally forgot there was a toddler phase. I almost shed a tear😂
I was doing the 100 baby challenge then infacts dropped and i quit Lol.
Since when do children take care of themselves? Since when do any sims take care of themselves? I swear, it's impossible to ever do anything with more than 3 or 4 sims in a household because sims are so terrible at taking care of themselves that you need to micromanage everything.

@@peterlewis2178 what’s even worse they now always automatically try to check on the baby but never do the thing the baby actually needs it’s so frustrating. Once they become a kid I don’t even pay attention to them anymore tbh lol never had one taken away yet
@@Free.zen. I'm pretty sure I play with full autonomy, and my experience is that if I leave them, they massively fail to keep themselves alive and instead are constantly doing actions that I want to cancel. Tbh I should probably consider turning off the autonomy, because it's quite a pain.
I had my MCC set to 20 sim household. I had this amazing matriarch who I just adored, amazing mom and she had maxed so many skills. Then she had this daughter that I wanted to change in CAS, so I went to change her with the mirror-option. When I went back to my game the mother (and some family members) gone. Dead. Never existed. Vanished into thin air. I am unrealistically sad about this😭Just givning everyone a warning when you have a household with more than 8 people. I seriously don’t know how to move on now, I loved her so much😭😭😭
Hope u didn't save after that. Cause if u just exit then u can have ur family back and try to go cas from mcc not the normal way
When was your last save ? You can probably just exit without saving and she should reappear
You know you can go back 3 or 4 saves? In the Load Save menu, there is small round button next to Play and Delete. Click on and it will list a few previous saves that you can recover.
This happens when you have more than 8 sims and try to enter CAS the old fashion way (A.K.A. though the mirror or by shift clicking a sim and using ”Modify in CAS”). As the game is coded to only have an 8 sim UI in CAS it will delete any ”extra” sims. It’s just the way the game is built unfortunately. Next time, open up CAS through the MCCC menu (MCCC > Sim commands > Modify in CAS) and it will bypass this deletion problem by only opening up CAS for the selected sim and not the entire household :)

For future reference, Sage, avocado and lemon grow year-round. When he gets high enough in his gardening skill, i recommend grafting some of the more expensive plants to the year-round ones. Also, since you're in Henford, chocoberries are year-round too and grow wild on the island.
I think the babies should have a hibernate mode where you can put them to sleep for 24 sim hours and it refills all their needs. That would be great 😂😂

I do that when I'm fed up with them in the Sims 3. I would get all of their needs full except sleeping and the toilet for training purposes. It's so calm. So easy.

Here's a tip. If toddlers watch each other do potty training it counts for the pooper and the voyeur.

I like that you involved gardening in this play through. It's one of my favorite things to do in real life and in gaming. I almost always have to sneak in some gardening on household lots that I am playing through. If they live in the city, I will have some gardening on the balcony and some on the inside of the apartment. It drives me crazy when I don't have the actual ingredient to cook with. So, I either grow it or buy it from the produce stand. The produce stand is the best way to get the produce you want to grow, because you know what you're getting. If it doesn't have what you are looking for, come again the next day and see if they have it. One of my favorite ways to use gardening is when I'm doing a rag to riches story. Starting with completely nothing, surviving on just foraging, fishing and gardening. Eventually I will get enough to build a greenhouse and make bank on dragon fruit. It's also a great way for sims to make some money off grid.

@G Sanders I'll eventually get there lol! I'm waiting until it gets some patches. I tried to play with one and it was just too hard.
There so hard to play w with the growing together expansion pack u have to teach them everything which ig is more realistic but tummy time is hell n it takes so long for them to rlly learn how to crawl where as the base game infants kinda js age up n know how to crawl n things but both gameplays they do cry alot n only sleep for bout a hour they are cute tho so 😭
hint, if you add a "greenhouse" aka a roof, the gardening harvestable's become a year-round product.
I usually only have 1 or 2 kids in my legacy save but this video really makes me want to try having a huge family. Ngl it looks tough but like a lot of fun! 😆

I forgot the name but I used to have that mod that makes sims gain multiple skills while at school and doing homework and it had a special computer that allowed a sim to study at home instead of going to school once per day.
There were many other features in the computer but I mainly used it for home-schooling and talking to classmates.
If anyone is still looking for it, it's a kawaiistacy mod I'm pretty sure. There's also one by adeepingo or something but that only overhauls school and doesn't give the home school option

Not sure if you know, or know but forgot, but when you are potty training a toddler, you can have another toddler watch and they will gain the potty skill too! 😁

See, you do it WAY differently then I would have. I always want to wait until the first round is at LEAST children before I have the third wave. That way the oldest ones can at least feed themselves

You can level up toddler skills by teaching one and let the other ones watch. Not sure about all skills but it definitely works with the potty training

I find cats help with infants and toddlers. They entertain each other and you don't have to walk the cats.
First let me say I love your LPs I’m an old lady simmer with major OCD I have a couple suggestions one is if you give the babies “the tit”(as you say) you have less mess second use the recycle trash can not only you get a bit of simoleons you don’t have to take it to the outside bin
Hey suggestions make toddlers talk to plants for communication, if you make them watch each other it get thinking up 😊

After binging this series twice, I’m doing my own challenge!! My two sims currently have one set of twins: a boy and a girl.
I love this can’t wait to see how chaotic it will get tip:toddlers can watch each other potty so they all get there skill up 😊
Absolutely love this! It's similar vibes to my current family except slightly less children 😂. I did go down the farm animal route so it's added a load of hassle similar to some extra kids

This is how I always play the sims. I typically end up with 12+ kids in every single playthough I do. In my current playthough I have one set of quadruplets who are children and two sets of sextuplets who are toddlers and infants respectively. The ADHD part of my brain thrives off of chaos. I've tried playing with the 8 sim limit, but I always got bored and stopped playing.
This is random but is anyone else having a problem with the sims lately? Usually my game runs pretty smoothly but now I can barely get my sims to do anything and if I can I takes them literal sims hours

The babies, they were somewhat annoying before (still on a fairly old version, compared to the current ones since it works alright for me), but they sound more annoying now i'll say. Then you have the terrors that are the infants, with how buggy they are still. Here's hoping this family ends up all good, since austin & claire are going to be wrecks after it all for sure.

It's even more interesting when I went from playing Story of Seasons FKA Harvest Moon, to playing sims 4 with gardening career.

I started the 100 baby challange and forgot to change mcc back to tripples being the preg. Limit... my first set of kids was quadruplets. It was SO HARD and then she had triplets! I literally amlost died twice while they were all infants and newborns thank god we survived long enough to age the quads up to toddlers. It has been SO CHAOTIC 😅
Edit: bc messed up and said twins but no it was quadruplets then triplets. 😢 I mean off to a good start but God is it hard 😂

It's paused with infant twins, though LOL I haven't had as much time to play as I would like and I spent a huge amount of time making a giant family tree including all of the intermarriages of extended family before migrating the current generation to a fresh save because the original save file was getting so bloated.
i am trying so hard to complete this in the sims 2 bc brandi rolled the want... dustin is finally moving out to college and beau is a teen. unborn baby broke is now a child. brandi remarried and had twins (finally one girl), and then another boy! she is preggers again so i cant wait to see whats next.

trick for babies and infants since the update is to request aid as the infant to the adult you want help from . it seems to fix the spamming that come from them.

When she said it was a small house for 12 people i kind of laughed. That was basically my boyfriends house. 3 bedroom 1 bathroom with 13 people living there (14 people when i stayed over and i was over a lot)

I learned that if you give a toddler the independent trait they will potty train themselves
31:15 and here is me trying to have one girl and ended up with five boys, five separate pregnancies too. The eldest will be an adult in a week!
Is there any way, if you do end up continuing episodes on a series, even if it’s short…or long…to maybe consider atleast numbering them? I click on a video and find out in the intro that’s it’s like 4th or 5th video but then struggle to find the other previous videos to watch first, in order. Just don’t want to miss anything. No hate or trying to be mean! Just interested in each little continuation. :)

Once I was playing the Sims game my sim JUST gave birth to 3 baby's and she got pregnant again right after 😅I CRYED BECAUSE SHE LET THE BABY STARVE 😂😂😂
This is pretty much how I started out when trying to get the 26 generations achievement. My first family had a BUTT load of kids lol.
I couldn't look after one puppy and one toddler 😭 and here there's five at a time

In TS2 most of my families rolled the want for 10 children at some point and I always locked it, so ten was the norm for me in that game.

If you go on the phone and go to shopping and go to purchase gifts. I found out that you can buy seeds by the season they are 100 simolions each packet and you only get 3-4 items in each. 🌱

My auntie wanted 15 kids and she could only have 3 so she started adopting puppies and currently she has 3 sons and 5 dogs

Put a mobile on the infants crib. Then have it play a lullaby. It will help them go to sleep faster.

The 5 children were enlisted to a prestigious private school, the parents - one an entertainer and one a chef (both females) and everyone was maxed out with their friendships for each other
the children never rebelled, grew up to have successful careers, the parents had maxxed out most of their skills without me having to interfere too much
but one day i see them all dead
they all drowned
like every family member fucking drowned
im still in amaze to this day
you can undo a save! its honestly easier than you'd expect, i found a tutorial for it online after accidentally making an undeletable mailbox bigger than the house XD
