You need to work on your GATE knowledge. GATE is essentially for getting a PhD in IISc, IIT or IISER and nowhere else. Also the stipend is same as that of CSIR and it is very regular.
Also, every IIT conduct their own entrance exam for PhD even if you are a CSIR qualified person.

You have overlooked a few aspects of GATE exam. BARC and DRDO recruit for scientist postion on the basis of GATE exam. Also one can apply for PhD in IIT through GATE, MHRD fellowship provide karti hai which is very regular.

It won't be a matter to apply for CSIR NET but after you qualify and appear for interview in institutes, they may ask for last mark sheet report.

Hello sir. I have cleared Jgeebills TIFR 2020 and iam awaiting for CSIR JRF results. Which among these is the best option for persuing phd sir. Iam from zoology background. Please suggest me a good institution for doing the same.
Sir what about DBT Jrf...i am from botany background and I had qualifyed the DBT Jrf 2018 as per the cutoff...but I can't get the certificate....
As per the eligiblety criteria life science (botany,zoology....) are eligible for this exam....but they r not giving certificate at the end.........sir plz make a video on this issue ( I am Mehmood from Ladakh, J&K)....i might be helpful for everyone....

Hello sir, i had a query if you clear. Some institutions write ICAR net in their ph.D qualifications criteria and with financial assistance. I qualified ICAR-ASRB net 2018 which give us lecturership to Agricultural universities. I m getting confused by icar net name. I want to knw if i m eligible for them without any fellowship?
what would be the job option after icmr jrf then srf either we will be recruited in any one of the icmr organistioin as scientist or else we have to find some other job with that phd sir please give the info !

But i want to add more like engineering candidates gate is only aay to join PhD after btech by doing mtech and PhD..
Engineering students need not to give any other exam rather than gate..
And if they done his mtech with 60% marks they can go for PhD by interview and research proposal...

But many students are persuing their phd through ICMR net in Difffernent universities as ICMR mentioned that an ICMR JRF can persue their phd in any institutions under UGC/MCI as well as from the ICMR institutions all over India.. then why are you giving wrong informations?
