One year ago today, we lost Mr. John Wetton to cancer...R.I.P. John. Thanks for all the wonderful music, & for sharing that tremendous voice with us all...
Beautiful song, JW. Steve Hackett did a fine job performing this with you. John, rest in peace. Your music brings me to tears, now because you are no longer here with us. You were kind enough to share a piece of your life toward the end with your fans.
Love the whole DVD. Such a great band and one of my all time favorite singers. I'm sad they couldn't all stay together for at least a couple of tours. Truly a super-group. Battle Lines by Wetton is a great album also. I'm sure he liked having Steve's band playing his song so well. Would cost a lot of money to take this band on the road.
I like these super groups kind of things. Steve do it once again please. Forget about the Genesis Revisited stuff - I liked it, went to many of these shows, but it's time to move on. Put together a super group again and do a bunch of shows ☺️
This isn't a Steve Hackett tune, but a John Wetton one, from his solo album of the same name. But, very cool to see Steve Hackett doing it with him. Of course, they've played some together, doing mostly Steve Hackett and Genesis tunes, as from the Steve Hackett album, Genesis Revisited, which has JW on it, as well as Chester Thompson and other greats. Steve and John also team up on the Steve Hackett live Tokyo Tapes DVD.
That's good you like it, i apreciatted to take your time to writting, thank you. This album is TOKIO TAPES, you can find it to album or DVD, believe me the song in this album are awsome.
For crying out loud. Can someone please fix the title to this clip. This is the legendary JOHN WETTON. One of my heroes who passed away not that long ago, we owe it to his memory to at the very least mention his name for his recorded performances.
What's the song about? *grin* My wife is in LOVE with Hacket. She says he's "working from inside." GREAT GUITARIST ON THIS SONG. (others of course, :-)
My heart hurts today. RIP John Wetton.
John Wetton = The sound of melancholy. The one and only. Greatest. This song is one of the best he ever wrote. Great video! Great band! Thank You!

Steve Hackett - guitar
Ian McDonald - keyboards
Julian Colbeck - keyboards
John Wetton - bass, vocals
Chester Thompson - drums
John is really in good voice on this song - I have never heard him better. Like a fine wine, getting better with age...
Oh my! So so beautiful.
Can we. start a petition to put John in the Rock and Roll HOF.
That's the late, great John Wetton who actually wrote and is singing this great song. RIP John
So beautiful.
This is a very beautiful tune, and one I do in my own solo shows. The entire Battle Lines solo album is awesome!
Never get bored listening to this song!
Battle Lines, most beautiful!!!! One of his BEST.
Una de mis canciones favoritas, Steve Hackett es uno de los mejores guitarristas en toda la historia del rock.
