I bought it too and I'm happy. for me this little thing is more convenient than iPhone for transcribing audios. Additionally, they have made updates that add functions such as importing audios from any device or application.
thanks my man, ive been trying to see who can give me a proper critical review of this product , your maybe the only one who gave proper criticism. Thank you!
I think your missing of key points, this is primarily for recording phone calls (which as you said aren’t super easy to record on the phone. Also I think that you can add audio to the app to transcript, and you can add it on the website without an app or device. Lastly you can save money by manually doing the same steps and individually those steps are not that laborious so it doesn’t seem be worth paying but if you need transcription of recordings often then those extra steps start to add and the money saved isn’t worth the time wasted.
@darrenjobe9781 The main job of PLAUD is not just to primarily for recording phone calls. You are supposed to also record what you are saying and record auditory lectures and it then transcribes into text afterwards.
The glasses, the image, the hand movements i couldnt concentrate on the commentary, but they all confirmed that this is a lefty/lib moany kind of designer coffee guy
Disagree. I don’t “lug” it around - it is magsafe to the back of my iPhone and highly convenient. With a stealth single switch I’m recording in the meeting or on a phone call without interrupting the flow. You CAN access the full transcript and copy paste that into an alternative Gen AI tool if desired, but I’m mostly satisfied with the multiple versions of AI summary provided. In addition, with a sub you can create your own Gen AI prompts to develop exactly the output summaries desired and save them as templates, as well as selecting which of the major Gen AI platforms you prefer to use based on your content. Great tool
I think this video brings up great points about available free software, still, I personally find my Plaud Note to be SUPER convenient for the kind of work that I do. Often I would be carrying a phone or a TASCAM recorder with me, yet I would only use it if I "had" to. With this on the back of my phone I find myself using it multiple times per day. 👍
Hello. Your review is accurate and very practical: it's exactly what I think as well. Plaude remains a beautiful object, but it's a confined cage for those who really want to work.
he literally explained what he used it for and what he usually used before it. what the pros and cons are from both methods. you probably dont have many active braincells. watching youtube videos (not this tiktok shit) is not for everyone.
Record calling phone call??? I recorded all my phone call with my BlackBerry 10 devices between 2013 and 2016 with an application and also with my Android phone 2016 until today... What is so incredible with that option??
I have this and don't find it to be inconvenient! It works great and I don't lug it around. It weighs a little more than a credit card. Everything is not for everyone!
That’s like reviewing McDonald’s and saying you can make a hamburger at home and you can get a hamburger there but it’s a split system. You can’t make a hamburger there and they can’t make a hamburger at your house. It’s a machine that takes away all the steps that you say you can do without it a little redundant even redundant I don’t even know how to classify it as a review or what your standards are for reviewing or what the hell that even means I haven’t even made the end of the video what I comparison that means nothing literally nothing in fact it’s ignorant That like saying yeah there’s a car can get you to your neighbors house but so can a horse and buggy but horse and buggy won’t fit. I still use both. What does that have to do with anything? Do you think somebody can learn from that? Do you think that the fact that that takes away that step is the important thing and detail of this product and if they wouldn’t to do it you’re suggesting they would’ve been doing that or would be doing that anyway also secondary. They wouldn’t really need the review, or the knowledge if that’s what that’s supposed to be
Wow, I hear so much irony in your review. 1) You are an Apple user and you are complaining about some other company trying to lock you in using their ecosystem? 2) $100 is not cheap but you own iPhone, iPad & Macbook? 3) Plaud Note has a proprietary charging cable... What about Apple products? Until recently, they have been insisting on selling expensive yet slower lightning cables. AND Plaud does give a Type C adapter so everyone can still use their Type C cables to charges the Plaud Note. Isn't that right? You are in the Apple ecosystem and you are fine with it. But when another company does it, you have so much issues with it. Such biased thoughts! That makes you a reviewer that no one should depend on.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I find Mike experience to be consistent as I do not feel locked into an ecosystem as I use mostly web apps. Additionally, I have done a annual cost analysis on my devices and find that the per year cost of Apple devices is much cheaper for me in my case than the per year cost of my android windows devices. Additionally, nearly all of my Apple devices use USBC charging cables so Im not sure what your issue is here. Regardless, feel free to purchase this if it makes sense for you. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment as it helps the video rate higher.
Excellent review! I can’t stand all these things that want me to pay them through a subscription service every month, sucking the money out of my wallet.
@plaud this is the type of UA-camr that gets people to buy your product. Because of his haterade, I bought one and enjoy it.
I just did the same. I mean, this guy is the exact opposite of me so I figure I'd love it.
I bought it too and I'm happy. for me this little thing is more convenient than iPhone for transcribing audios.

@@Boubsonwhy is it more conviniend than an i phone
I like when you say you have to lug it around
Thank you for doing this review! I hadn’t heard of whisper but I’m going to look into it now!
Thank you for this! I was about to buy this. I'll just use my iPhone and get whisper or Descript.
It's working pretty well for me.
thanks my man, ive been trying to see who can give me a proper critical review of this product , your maybe the only one who gave proper criticism. Thank you!
I got swept up in all of the hype myself.
I like the mind map feature with PLAUD. Do you know of any free apps that convert text summaries into mind maps that I can use?

Did you run into any issues with context length? (Like a meeting was too long to be summarized by Chat GPT)
asking the real questions.
Hello. Your review is accurate and very practical: it's exactly what I think as well. Plaude remains a beautiful object, but it's a confined cage for those who really want to work.
Thank you for making this video
No problem 😊
Are you able to show us how you use whisper to dictate voice recordings?
Can the device use my Bluetooth headset for audio capture? Is the recording happening on my phone? Thanks for the video! 😎👍
Nope. Plaud can not connect to any headset or other Mics. Your phone can but Plaud can not.
Spencer, thank you for this. Could you please let me know how to use Whisper? Is it a software, app, etc?
Thank you!
You probably don't have many important meetings with humans. This device is definitely not for everyone.

@@caspay21Can’t record a phone call on your iphone
Great analysis
thanks, really helpful review
Glad it was helpful!
Nicely said - fully agree - thank you
None of the 3 problems listed are actually problems for most people, its totally personal issues
Proprietary charging cable
Record calling phone call???
I recorded all my phone call with my BlackBerry 10 devices between 2013 and 2016 with an application and also with my Android phone 2016 until today... What is so incredible with that option??
iPhones and latest android phones can't record phone calls. both OS don't allow it.
I’ve you used wave or otter or an app like that and have a preference for a paid option that might have more conveniences?
How does one record phone calls on iPhone?
They made an update that allow to import audio files from other devices, apps or sources. So your number 2 problem is solved.
any suggestions for recording phone calls?
I think most phones already do that
Not sure these are actual problems?……more considerations, but it sounds like the device works as advertised/intended or did I misinterpret anything?
I have this and don't find it to be inconvenient! It works great and I don't lug it around. It weighs a little more than a credit card. Everything is not for everyone!
Thank you Spencer. I think you just saved me from a longer route to ultimate frustration. These bullshit hidden costs should be outlawed.
There are no hidden costs... Bot comment?
How may language it support ?
Hum… good question. Since it don’t use it I don’t know.
It says 57 on their advertising!
Your hate made me buy one
Sure. We believe you Bro.
Lol
thanks. Liked
Thanks for the visit

I'm also the fellla who would never eat at McDonalds. The point is to show that you can have Mcdonald's style food without going there.

It would be cool if it did wireless charging and then you could piggyback off of your phone, one day.
Apple user talking about proprietary cables being an issue... riiiight...
PLEASE READ THIS!!! What is this “Whisper” app you speak of?
thanks for the video, i will not be buying it. very helpful thanks again.
Wow dude
You’re the kind of guy who can just go out in your yard and need some grass instead of going to Olive Garden and paying for a salad
My yard does have really good breadsticks now that you mention it.
I disagree with all your thoughts and I guess these are based on your usage.
I'm glad to make space for other views.
It doesn't help if all you do is say you disagree with him. Why?
This dude starts out with saying the audio quality is as good as his iPhone and he says that's a negative thing
Why don't you ask for a refund?
I did. And spent several weeks going back and forth with support if I "qualify" for one.
DO not buy
I agree.
Saying do not buy does not help. Why?
