- In this video, we breakdown the keys to creating quality shots in transition. It's statistically proven that almost every team scores at a higher rate in transition than in the half court. These principles will help you do the same.
This video will breakdown;
1. Live Ball Turnovers
2. Advantage Situations
3. Standard Transition
In these areas, we talk about the importance of The First 5 Steps, Early Pitch Aheads, & Balancing the Floor with Good Spacing.

Love this content so much, I'm a manager for OU basketball and big 12 basketball has so much of these principles
Good for you! I actually coached Luke’s older brother Eric & I’m friends with Coach Custer. Hope things are going well for you.
Thanks for good video! I learn basics from you.
You’re very welcome. Thanks for commenting!
Alabama is a great example of this. Especially the Final 4 team this year. Just unbelievable offense
Agreed!
love this vid, when’s the next euroleague breakdown?
I’m about to do a breakdown of the final 4 matchups & then recap the last 3 games! I appreciate you
Great video can you make more videos of reading defensive coverages on a dime thanks
I’ll make some in the future 🤝
Austin can we expect another video on the gap theory?
Absolutely!
How do you determine who goes to corners vs run to rim. Is it on the fly decision or is it preset based on player/position?
Personnel is a key factor. If you have a post player who isn’t a shooter, he/she should always run to the rim (if they don’t take the ball out of bounds on a make first). For everyone else, it’s about feel.
I tell our wings/guards, if you look ahead and you have a layup, always run for the layup. If you see the layup isn’t there because of defense, sprint corner.
Yo, I plan on playing next year my senior year, I understand how to play 1 on 1, 2 on 2a and 3s but I've never played 5 on 5 basketball neither pick up or a high school game, I don't understand like certain terminology or how to move on the court, or certain screens, any tips on how to start? Because although I cook everyone in the park I assume a real basketball game is much different you know
Good for you. My first recommendation would be to watch the videos on my “beginner” playlist. Let me know what questions you have after that.
Austin what's your height without shoes, wingspan and vertical leap in your prime
Haha I don’t think that information is important 🤭
I'm just saying though, since you played college I want to know what I'm up against you know what I'm saying
If anyone is looking for transition offense, almost all teams run the 2 sided break.
Austin do you fear God?
Absolutely
I feel like youre only posting for the money now since you got sponsors, videos arent as insightful as before i understand youre pushing 40 and have wife and kids but cmon bro
Can you explain what you mean by that?
@@TheFilmRoom1 what's there to explain brother
I'm not sure what you mean I either. I would've liked a video of the Euroleague or nba playoffs breaking down offensive and defensive sets and adjustments instead of just a recap but I did like this video
@@OhGreat-ul6mr what about this video isn’t insightful? And what does my personal life or my family have to do with the content I’m creating?
@@derrick5380 hey, I only have so much time to make content & I wanted to cover the Euroleague playoffs for people who don’t subscribe to their platform and can watch the games. I will do more breakdowns and teaching once the season is over. They were playing games every other day for a stretch which is difficult to do breakdowns for every game.
