I take pride that our devotional singers are being appreciated/recognized at National Level on the great initiative of our honourable Prime Minister. Getting a special attention of the media. God Bless you. ❤️❤️❤️🕉️🕉️🕉️🕉️🛕🛕🛕🛕🙏🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇨🇦
This song is from Dr. Rajkumar's movie. "ERADU kanasu" , Two Dreams Lyrics: Chi Udayashankar Music Director , Rajan Nagendra Singer : Dr. S. Janaki This is not a Bhajan, surprised the singer did not mention any of this.
Sivasree is a BTech Graduate from Sastra university, Tamilnadu. She is karnatic vocalist, Baratha natiyam Classical Dancer, Harikatha scholar and leads Bajhan mantali. Such a multifaceted person.
What gave you the impression that someone is fighting over the language?? As your user name suggest we need a devotional (bhakti) movement in this country in the form of music and songs (not movie songs) to integrate North of India with South and indeed East and West of India as well. Because music is the only stream that does not recognize geographical boundaries, language, caste, creed, sex and I guess even nationality. Politics and politicians of all parts of India are useless. I guess Hindi & English will continue to be the mainly spoken language of India and other languages will be taking a back seat. There will be perpetual quarreling and bickering over that I suppose. P.S. I strongly believe we cannot revive Samaskrutam (Sanskrit) as a speaking language of our daily lives. But at least let us not squander away the devotional (Bhakti) aspect of our lives by way of music and songs too.
The song she has sung and playing in the background is from the 1970s Kannada film " Eradu Kanasu". Its music was composed by the duo Rajan-Nagendra and originally sung by S. Janaki. The movie had 5 songs, all massive hits. The movie was a box office blockbuster and featured Dr. Raj Kumar.
Dear sivasri, singers are angels of god. Congrats for the national recognition.people are facing so many psycho somatic problems and singers can bring them back to blissful life. Keep it up and continue serving the mankind. May god blossom your consciousness
Sivasri is among the best of young singing talents in Karnatic music in India at present. Her rendition of the Pujisalende song is admirable. She deserves highest accolades for the effort. Rama mantrava japiso - is also a great composition and rendered by many artists brilliantly. May be the PM picked the artist first and then the song. Election days are here again. Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra where BJP presence has been negligible are coming under PM's focus at a time when national integration is facilitated through religious ceremony. Nationalism = BJP. Satyamev Jayate! 🪷 Jai Hind!! 🫡
From south always soul devotees n north body devotees all the gods n goddesses mostly enjoy in south. To return ram Ayodhya took 500years how comes that too is because of modiji not by others. Ram always happy with Rameshwaram. He was not homeless. Jai hind Jai naya bharath.

Eradu Kanasu kannada movie. Lyrics meaning I have come to worship you my lord Ram, open the doors. I have come to seek your darshan
it's her profession she sings in multiple languages, nobody sings or talk in kannada only to get respect from anyone. you think everybody living their life to please others ? lmao.
@@0xcoffee427 Idiot what is your problem, she has sung in our kannada language, if she does not sing in kannada, we will throw her to thrash, we do not care, we are giving respect for original song not her, which has rich lyrics, music and original voice. even roadside beggar sings it is beautiful song. not her. Mind your business. M**F
First of all, it is not a bhajan...it is a song! And as far as the literal meaning of the starting lines of the song are concerned, it says, Oh Rama, I have brought flowers to offer you, please open the door to let me do the offering, you look appealing when you are angry, you look beautiful when you are impressed, your presence and support is a blessing for life!
not angry, nowhere written in that context, it is said in any of the forms, olidaru, munidaru, etc., it is a prarthana song, but, accommodated to the situation.
munidaru in Kannada means being angry or upset or some sort of resentment...so I don't know what you are talking about...olidaru, munidaru is depicting opposite emotions...anyway, you can choose to be happy with whatever meaning you make out of it! Peace...
Poojalu cheya , poolu techanu , Nee gudi munde nilichanu, teeyyara talupulanu, Swamy, Iyyara Darsanamu. This an old Telugu Song from the Movie Pooja, originally sung by Late Smt. Vani Jayaram.
This is beautiful song movie called Eradu Kansu means 2 dreams. 1974 film staring Rajkumar Kannada idol Kalpana. This song picturised on Kalpana and Dr Rajkumar. Music by Great musician Rajan- Nagendra. Lyrics by great Chi Uday Shankar. Sung by S Janaki. One year back I listened this song. Very nice singing
There has been a widespread news in social media about Prime Minister's appreciation of Ms. Sivasri’s singing of ‘Poojisalendhe Hoogala Tandhe’, a kannada film song. In this connection, I would humbly submit as under. 1. This is not a bhajan or a devotional song. It is a pure filmy song. It has NOTHING to do with Lord Rama. 2. In this song, the heroine is begging the hero to open up his mind to her. The hero is ignoring his wife because his mind is completely preoccupied with thoughts of his estranged lover. Hurt by this, she is asking him to ‘open the door’ (thereyo baagilanu) of his mind to her. She uses the word Rama in the song as a reference to hero’s name in the movie, Ramachandra Rao. 3. Mr. Sivasri has just re-sung this song, as hundreds of orchestra singers and reality show singers before her have sung this song; some of them, in my personal opinion, better than her. 4. The credits for this evergreen song should go to the following people: - Mr. Chi. Udayashankar who composed the lyrics, - the music director duo Mr. Rajan & Mr. Nagendra who composed the music, - Ms. S. Janaki, who is the original singer of the song, - the film director duo Mr. Dorai & Mr. Bhagavan, who directed the song (and the movie), - Mr. R. Chittibabu, the cinematographer, and - Mr. Rajkumar and Ms. Kalpana, the hero and heroine of the song (and the movie). It is a song from the blockbuster kannada movie ‘Eradu Kanasu’ (Two Dreams) released in 1974, almost 50 years back. Except Ms. Janaki, the rest are deceased at the time of this writing. On its first release in 1974, it ran for more than 200 days, on its second release in 1982, it ran for more than 100 days and on its third release in 2015, it ran for more than 50 days. 5. Prime Minister's initiative to show appreciation to talented people from various walks of life - science, technology, performing arts, social service, business, folk arts etc. is highly appreciated. However, I beg that he asks his supporting machinery to do a little more research next time. P. S.: I have until now had high regards for Ms. Sivasri, who is a trained Carnatic classical musician, for her singing and her efforts to get her pronunciation right in Kannada, which is not a native language for her. However, carried away by the appreciation of the Prime Minister, she is conveniently hiding the above facts under the carpet and soaking up all the credit for herself, claiming this song to be a bhajan / devotional song, and not crediting the original creators. I am deeply pained by this small mindedness and arrogance.
She is a Tamil Iyer lady who was born and raised in Bengaluru Karnataka, she speaks, reads and writes Kannada fluently. I have attended her Kucheris in Bengaluru on many occasions.
