Always remove the master cylinder cap "BEfORE" the pistons are pushed in. Failure to do so can be catastrophic! Also do the screw driver trick before the bolts are removed, maje sure your guide pins move freely the anti rattle clips are good and your golden. Brake grease depends on the application. Most people don't have the fancy tools the us technicians have. Dude is showing you how to get around that issue good job!
use heat around where the bolt screws into and see if there is a way to get a pair of vice grips on it maybe? I assume since the bolt is stripped out you won't be using it again... try welding a nut onto the head of the bolt and see if that plus some heat will break it loose!
@@steezy_baugh9522 the dumbass before put locktight on the threads of the torx bolts.. I got the whole brake caliper off and worked on it on the floor just by taking one side off but I’ll have to just replace my whole caliper because they are shot and I want some Chevy designed brake calipers with the black paint on it or something nice.. thanx for the tip it was a huge pain. Ended up doing my pads n rotors that day
Okay just did this thanks for the great tutorial. Any idea why check brake system is now on on my dash and also my emergency parking brake light is on also? Will it go away by it self?? Or is there a way to reset it

Those bolts are the stupidest thing I have seen. My Subaru flex plate had 8 of them. Impossible to get off. The other front brake didn't have them!
