PICO System Overview | Simarine

With our Pico system you can monitor the state of the batteries, i.e. their capacity, voltage, current, time remaining at current consumption, as well as water levels, fuel, temperatures, the inclination of the vehicle or vessel, measure the energy consumption of a single device (fridge, lights, cooktop ...) and more.
The central device of our system is the PICO monitor, which displays all the above data. To provide this data, you need to add shunts and other modules to PICO. Our system is modular, which means you can build your own system and add only the modules you need. Each module can be purchased separately, and which you choose depends on what you want to monitor on your boat or RV. You can always add new modules to the system later if you want to have even more detailed insight into energy consumption and if you keep adding new devices.

From the wiring diagram, it appears you also need a splitter, even with the most basic setup. Is the splitter included with the monitor or shunt purchase? I don't see it as a standalone item for purchase. If I'm not going to use additional shunts or modules, Is there a way to bypass the splitter and go directly from the larger shunts (300 or 500 amp) to the monitor?

Thank you for you question. Splitter is an essential part of any PICO system as it is the communication and power hub for the whole system. Therefore it comes with PICO in the same box. You can connect up 4 expansion modules directly to the splitter and even more modules can be daisy-chained to the modules that are already connected to the splitter.
