Ok so Back in 2018 I joined a small game forum. And there was this one guy who'd joined a few months before me, who left for a long while after some drama with another forum member. We weren't close, but I was still sad about losing contact since it was a very tight-knit community. Then he joined back! And we added each other on discord and started texting almost every day. Heck, in the past year I've probably talked more with him than my irl friends! A few years ago his family was making a trip to Europe and he asked if I wanted to meet up. I agreed, and he and his family showed up in my tiny town. It was a ton of fun! We went sledding (his first time!) and built a little snow sculpture together. In about 30 minutes he's gonna teach me Roblox. And hearing these two talk about meetup stuff while casually playing together made me realize I've never played with him before. I met up _in real life_ - with a guy _from another continent_ - who I first met on _a game forum_ - before ever playing video games with him. What the actual heck???
Hi, brought here by Lilytuft :p I can’t believe somehow we had never played a videogame together in all those 6 years despite talking about them so often Aaaaaaaaaa. The visit was the second time I ever saw snow since we don’t have winter in my country. I tried doing snow creatures but they were so messy, she’s so skilled with snow unlike me lol. It was so fun to spend time sledding and making snow sculptures. And we somehow did all that before playing Roblox or anything Aaaa. The trip feels like a dream at times, but I have an adorable drawing she made me when we met back then ^^
