This wasn't the dynamic ending I was expecting! What happened to the lavish party where "the sister mocks her presence at the party, only to be stunned by a revelation about the welder's true identity."??

I'm glad y'all shared that. I've been watching almost 9😮 minutes but I'm not even going to finish it.
What a disappointment 😮 Pretty much click bait. On top of that they have called her 3 different names. Michelle Emmy & Amy. Duh 🙄

I may be stupid and I’m sorry, but why would you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for a college degree for your daughter just to force her to get married right after she graduates from college? I don’t get it

Honestly, her parents had probably hoped she'd find her husband while in undergrad. She'd get engaged during her final year of college, marry straight out of college, and become the perfect trophy wife. At least adequate as a wife and mother, yet engaging and educated when mingling with her spouse's peers.

This is a timely story. There are people who treat their children as extensions of theirselves, not as living breathing autonomus people. They only exist for the glorification of the parent. It's utterly abusive ugliness and deep disrespect. I knew a woman who's parents told her if she wanted college she had to study nursing or teaching! SHE HATED BOTH. She chose nursing. Day she graduated she walked away from them. She started studying art curatior! Eventually married a doctor and opened an art gallery, a successful one. She NEVER used her nursing degree, in any way. Only the fact it was a degree.

No hell no she done the right thing in turning her so called parents out . I don't see where they done anything good for her . Why didn't they get mad at the other daughter. Oh that's right her husband did that. So I see it as they got their deserved karma.

I am the oldest of three. The golden child was my second sibling and then the third. They all tried to think for me. Mom has been gone since 2016. I no longer see or hear from the family especially now that Dad remarried. My sisters tried to control him as well. Dad needed help with some things before he remarried. I know how this feels.

So, who is the main character in this story... Amy or Michell it keeps switching? Nice story of independence though. Sounds like the parents are traditional eastern parents demanding respect without ever earning it.

Situations and circumstances should not be mixed. No matter what happens, your family will remain your family. There are red lines, but these lines do not negate the right of the father and the right of the mother to be respected and to open new white pages with them.

The blood of the covenant is more valuable than the water of the womb. You don't show respect to anyone just because they demand it. If they don't take the time to earn your respect they don't care anyway.
Oh and according to your logic I should ignore the fact my family tried to steal a years worth of back pay for my VA disability (roughly $40k) because and I quote "you don't need it" despite me being homeless at the time, but they somehow needed it more. Literally the only reason it failed is because the bank wouldn't let him deposit it into his account because his name and my name on the check are nothing alike.

Yeah, I can't quite understand why they're acting like a welder is some sort of sketchy job. There's a lot of solid blue-collar jobs where the workers can make pretty decent bank--while not spending thousands on a college education.
