    In all the hullabaloo about digital vs analog, I find the best result is letting the two technologies work together. I get consistently good and flexible tones live by using modeling preamps into the effects return of a tube amp. Sure, you're not going to get the most convincing Vox tone with 6V6s and Jensen speakers, but its close! Can't we all just get along?

  • @TheAngello120
    @TheAngello120 7 років тому

    the whole reason for having this unit for most of the gigging players is to go direct to the desk/pa and do away with back-line amps, which for a lot of us are a pain to cart around and set-up in small venues and cramped stage settings, and also require a load off effects pedals, with a consistently good sound and lots of options under the foot its a great one at the price, a built in foot-pedal would make it perfect.

  • @VelhosNovos

    I had a Atomic Amplifire past year . Good product! Today, I am using the Torpedo Cab with pedals (Friedman BE-OD and Marvel Ramble Fx). My opinion based on playing direct to PA/ Speaker Active / FOH, etc... Torpedo Cab is better. For recording, headphone at night, whatever, i can't give my opinion, because both are great. Two Notes tecnology is one step ahead for live application.

    In a live environment, i am not sure i could tell what technology was being used. When i have seen vids online of gear being by bands, many are now using latest technology to automatically switch to different effects during performances. It is programmed in and they have a back up running just in case they need it.

      Nobody likes digital unless they have not tried a real amp or they are selling them. Period. Some pros use them because they are lazy or cannot afford transport, but that is it. What a kid does in his bedroom is immaterial...and should stay there. This is a commercial for a product...nothing else. They get paid to say every word they say.

      +titmusspaultpaul5 All you need is what the boys are using. The Amplifire is plugged straight into the Frfr cab. That's it. Thank you for watching.

      To clarify, that particular cab is a powered (i.e. active) cab: it has its own power amp inside.

    Would there be any humming or grounding issues with the kind of power supply it uses?

      Ilya Ignatov depends on your setup, if it's just this, in Mono - no there shouldn't be, I've never had an issue!

    will this sound decent plugged into the return of an affordable solid state amp?

      aravis123 - Probably. The important thing would be to defeat any speaker emulation as the amp's speaker will add its own color.

    Ok. I get it. Lot's of controls. However, I personally prefer ONE solid sound of a my Marsh JCM 800 over the flexibility of a Jumbo Jet cockpit. But that's just me ;-)

    That blimin' clock has been stuck on 6:30 for as long you've been filming in that room. Is this to make editing easier? Or maybe there are no batteries left in Guildford? 😂

      That's the joke. It's all about letting time pass and chemistry flow naturally.
