Piccolos monologue when comparing himself to Vegeta and saying “goodbye my friend”. That was so beautiful.
"Goodbye my friend" is a hell of a farewell from Piccolo to Vegeta. Aside of Tien, he was the one holding more grudges on Vegeta since the fight taking place between the Z fighters and Nappa and Vegeta. It's a HUUUGE change, and a great respect that Piccolo pays to Vegeta.
Piccolo's monologue towards Vegeta was DEEP. The music and tone of it just made you feel something inside. Especially after what they've been through for years and leading to what Vegeta did...man. chills and wow. Very well written and crafted.🙏🏽

Vegeta’s death was completely in vain, which is so sad. He just sacrificed his own life for the sake of the others, and one episode later, Majin Buu is already fully regenerated and even Babidi is alive! I honestly feel incredibly sad for Vegeta, he truly deserves better. R.I.P., Prince of all Saiyans.
The sad part is he had the right idea but not enough power to finish the job

Goku sacrificed himself against Cell and it did nothing. He came back stronger.
@@LordMalice6d9 Not quite true, if Goku didn't sacrifice himself, Cell would have taken out Earth and everything on it except Cell.
Vegeta thought Gohan died, cause he didn't feel any energy from him (because he was knocked out).
Vegeta said that he died and Piccolo heard him.. so he's just relaying the info further.
With Gohan being knocked out.. it's just what they have to go by, causing this confusion.
Gohan was worse than knocked out actually. He barely has any life energy left. That's why Vegeta and even Goku thought he was dead, they couldn't sense his life. He got destroyed by Buu
Vegeta’s death being in vain always upset me growing up. But Piccolo and Krillin mourning and showing remorse for him and even calling him their friend really got to me and showed so much character development with all three of them
14:00 It wasn’t for nothing. It served to help bring a close to Majin Vegeta’s story arc and further develop Vegeta’s character (in my opinion solidifying him as the best damn character this series has to offer). Vegeta’s entire character narrative would be perfect in a universe where people cannot return from death. His “Final Atonement” is a fitting end to a marvelous villain who turned good and went out attempting to atone for his sins.
Strangely, though, I’m also glad that the Dragon Ball universe allows characters to die and come back (more than once in many cases… hehe).
Man I remember waiting forever for this episode to come out on Cartoon Network in 2003 or 2004. Those were the days

I have always wanted a mini arc with Vegeta and Piccolo where they perhaps spar and help Piccolo close the gap in power. There have been simple nods of respect towards eachother throughout the series. Vegeta even trusts Piccolo with the safety of Trunks. I've always loved how during parties or get togethers they both show a slight distance from everyone else, they are both very similar to not being as light hearted and social as Goku but they show an appreciation for everyone by being there.
Even in the non cannon movies those two were always together at the end while everyone else celebrated.

I was so angry at majin buu when he started to regenerate back from life when I saw this on my vhs tape when I was a kid. Vegeta sacrifice himself for nothing.

Man, I was so hyped when I first watched these episodes, with Gohan being the hidden hope since he's the only one of the original heroes to still be alive. The killer of Cell is once again Earth's last hope. Also Piccolo saying "Son of Goku. Son of Vegeta" while Boo looked unbeatable
This part of the Boo arc just gave me chills

It's a service for the elderly; it allows easy contact to emergency services when a senior citizen is alone and in trouble or hurt. The thing was, the acting and line delivery in the commercial advertisement was silly/funny.

We have some characters doing things they should be used to but they are hard stuff, like Krillin telling horrible news and Piccolo having to deal with much more that he can handle.
9:55 it's funny that you doubt krillin would fight Buu. Many episodes later he charges at a much stronger Buu knowing full well he has no chance to try and buy time to protect everyone on the lookout so they can escape

It was always kinda laghable to me that Piccolo was impressed by the size of the crater from Vegeta's explosion when he was able to destroy planets when he first showed up; remember Piccolo even blew up the moon in the first season and now he is impressed by a big hole in the ground.
Buu is the funniest guy ever on DBZ. The actor that plays his voice was just on point reading this character. I wonder why you guys don't ever say anything about that.

Love to revisit drahonball z with you guys. You should definately continue with dragonball super and besides dragonball and naruto do a onepiece one as well but be prepared to cry. One Piece is next level emotion and epicness!

Right? A testament to the actual power of the Kais, you never get to see their level of strength because they're always used to show the scale of how strong another character is

Piccolo will always be one of my favorite characters. Look at him here compared to the end of the original Dragon Ball. Crazy…nobody ever talks about that either.
Right?! I mean he didn't have the years of innocent blood on his hands like Vegeta but he was hatched into a world that judged him by his father's actions and his looks struck people with fear. His character development had an impact for sure with kids who felt like outsiders.
Vegeta gets the W in the end. He needed this to happen to make him a better teammate later.
Man Vegeta made such a heroic sacrifice for his family but it was for nothing man just like when Goku sacrificed himself to get Cell off of earth before he self destructed on King Kai’s planet in Other World but it too was for nothing. RIP Vegeta
Vegetas final explosion was basically him turning himself into a nuclear or atom bomb thats why his body was the way it was in the end

Yamcha lost to saibamen once. Sonce then he had gotten exponentially stronger. He beat recoome in other world, and was able to last a little bit against cell jr's, altho they were toying with everyone except trunks and Vegeta.

Actually saibaman are same strong as Raditz and Raditz is way stronger than Goku when they fought. Also if you have watched or read Dragon Ball, Demon King piccolo is capable of destroying the Earth which is planetary level feat and Kid Goku was Stronger than Demon King piccolo. So you can imagine how strong the saibaman are.

Well about Yamcha, he was resurrected after defeating a member of the Guiniu Force in King Kaio's planet (as a dead person). But in this episode he seems to have forgotten that he can fly by his own power and that he has the power mentioned. On the other hand he was piloting and he was responsible for all those lives.
Mini-rant time, but I think it's something that needs to be said.
A lot of people look at this scene where Majin Buu regenerated and are outraged by it. *"Vegeta died for nothing!"*
It's not just a few people but a lot of people. And it's okay to feel sad for Vegeta, but I think they're missing the point.
Remember back when Goku did the same with cell? He sacrificed himself for nothing. People were sad but not outraged by it. But when that was new I remember Vegeta fans always saying.... *"Why can't Vegeta do something like that?!"*
That is what this was.
And it goes deeper than that because this saga despite it's goofiness is a lot more darker than the others. It has this sense of hopeless, with everything they're doing and everything they are accumulating.... It's just not enough.
They can't kill it, it just won't die.
Goku didn't sacrifice himself for nothing. He saved everyone and the world.
@@deckzone3000 No, Gohan saved the world. And Goku's death could have been prevented if Gohan finished cell off. And what little good Goku's sacrifice did was undone when Cell came back.

Goku teleported Cell away to save others. Cell regenerated. Thus the sacrifice was for nothing.... "He saved the world" For what? A few minutes? That amounts to nothing. Because with actually defeats the enemy is what prevents the threat. That belongs to Gohan.
Vegeta used final explosion sacrificing himself against Buu, Vegeta knew Buu could regenerate but not this type of degree. Which again leads the sacrifice to being in vain. Yeah he saved the world too for almost 10 minutes before Buu regenerated.
It all amounts to the same thing.
Takes a lot of control for Vegeta to do Final Explosion to just take himself and Buu out without the entire planet. Had to condense it to just what he destroyed.

This episode brings tears to my eyes. As fun as the later buu saga was I think as a Vegeta fan I would’ve been satisfied if that had been the end of buu. Vegeta deserved being that guy for once. Goku had frieza, Gohan had cell, vegeta could’ve had this one and Gotenks the next
Majin actually means magical demon (you know how DJinn is genie) that’s why Buu has wacky powers.
Toriyama actually has a spin off manga that’s called Neko Majin where this cute anthropomorphic animal has a lot of similar powers too loll it’s very cool

If there's one thing that I learned while watching DBZ it's this. If one of the supporting characters is sure that one the main characters have beaten the antagonist of the saga then the exact opposite is true.
7:38...Me personally, this scene is one of the most graphic displays I ever seen in DBZ. Vegeta used every ounce of ki in his body to blast Majin Buu that it basically cooked him alive. And to people saying he turned to stone, no. That just the anime's art department"s fault for not interpreting right

Also the guy can phuckin fly and has superhuman strength..has taken on enemies that can one shot a planet, but is literally in full blown panic and worried about dying in a small plane crash..that HE could easily avoid/stop...the plane could have crashed to bits and killed everyone inside and HE still probably would have tanked it with "ease"..

A simple and easily overlooked moment in this episode is 18 smiling after receiving recognition for saving the group when their hovercraft was going down. I really like that. Oh and the background you're using is sicc.
This episode is the hardest to watch. Vegeta’s scream it sounds like a power up yell at first but then it sounds like he’s screaming in pain. Like this shit makes me cry 😭

This puts into perspective just how much stronger than a ssj2 buu is. Semi perfect cell form self destruction was enough to finish goku(who was almost as strong as perfect cell). This means that buu is on a whole different level compared to ssj2. Not even a ssj2 self destruction was enough. That means buu is on a whole new level. Crazy

It’s interesting to see these characters that all fought on different sides. Krillin was always a Z fighter but Piccolo and Vegeta both had their grudges against Goku. Piccolo put aside his differences with Goku and his friends to fight against Vegeta when he arrived in Earth, alongside Krillin. And now they’re both mourning his sacrifice. The way some things come full circle in this show is really cool.

One thing you should agree with me (that I though watching Marron) is that on both Dragonball and Dragonball Z the portrayal of kids is brilliant. You don't have that in every show.

Well i don't hate Vegeta he is one of the best characters in the Dragon ball universe, but for someone who was the bringer of genocide once, on numerous planets it is not that difficult to return to that side, even if the reasoning was fight with Goku.
