Hi Thiago. I enjoyed this episode. However, with all respect, I couldn't understand why you mentioned that TOEFL doesn't cover the C2 level. I am a TOEFL holder (96/120) and participated in TOEFL for 3 times in 2024. I am also sure that the range between 110 and 120 can be interpreted as a C2 level in TOEFL.
You're absolutely right. Looking through the ETS website, I found the comparison table and now TOEFL does seem to include the C2 level as well. This might have been updated in more recent years, as I recall that wasn't the case in the past.

Why? I don`t understand.
Thiago I hope you understand this my poor sentence, I just wanna share my feeling.
When I'm watching people in the video talking English,like you for example, I know the meaning of each words while I'm looking to the transcript,but that's meaning is to my own language that sometimes it doesn't matching when it comes to different context, so I disposed my own language even when I'm not understand, i always try to looking for english meaning only.
The all main thing is, do my comprehension will increase when I read or listening even I'm not understand the meaning? My mind is always it's kind of always looking for the soul of the word (that's what I need), I believe that each words has the spirit that make us undertand to someone talking. I need a confidence in myself.

As far as I concern, you have to study English as it works for you. However, you must be heard from any video that contexts is everything, that's why if sometimes you look at the word separately, perhaps you will have some problem to get the full message of something that you grasp. Hello, Thiago. My name is Lyla from South Korea. I am interested in taking CPE but apparently it is the least popular exam in Korea :( The exam centers set CPE schedules according to the applicants. There was no CPE exam at all last year. That is why it is so hard to find any materials to study with here in Korea. I wonder how you prepared for CPE exam. Were there any study/practice books you studied with? Would you be nice to share your experience?
Hello there! This a great topic I can cover in a future episode. As far as course books go, I used "Proficiency Masterclass", by Oxford. Highly recommend it. If you can study the book with a private teacher, even better.

Hi thiago im thinking of taking the toic because i love learning English, but and i didt a quick test to see my current level and in the speaking part i scored C1 reading part im A2 and writing and listening A1 so I'm eager to hone my English in those areas i work as Guard in an hotel and i want to get promoted to the front desk to make more money to achieve my forever dream of traveling to an English speaking country please master any advice to perfect those areas i don't care how many hours or effort i have to put in , i need to fill those gaps otherwise i wont be in peace with myself my greetings from Chile.
