Thank you for waiting for my new walking video. Today, let's walk along Gangnam Station in Seoul on a rainy night.(1hr 31mins) Seoul is currently in the rainy season. We walk along Gangnam Station, Sinnonhyeon Station and Nonhyeondong Food Alley during the evening rush hour. You can see a lot of people on the way home from work and people walking in heavy rain, and traffic jams in this video.How many times my umbrella flips while we walk? ☔️🤣

The video is uploaded at 7am (LA 3pm, NYC 6pm, London 11pm. Madrid 12am, Moscow 1am, Jakarta 5am) almost every morning in Korea time.
Gangnam Station is a station in the Gangnam District and Seocho District of Seoul, South Korea, on the Seoul Subway Line 2. This station serves as a crucial transfer point between Line 2 and buses to all over Seoul and southern Gyeonggi Province. It became the northern terminus of the Shinbundang Line on October 29, 2011, the southern terminus being at Jeongja Station.
Both stations have two tracks and two side platforms.
The area surrounding the station is an important commercial and entertainment district. The station is located at the western end of Teheranno, home to many corporate headquarters and impressive towers, while the area immediately to the north of the station is densely packed with bars, restaurants and clubs. There are also many shops in the subway station below ground. In 2007, the area was the 10th most expensive shopping street in the world with an average rent of US$431 per square foot.
The section of Gangnam Boulevard from exit No.2 of this station to exit No.5 of Sinnonhyeon Station of Line 9 is designated as a smoke-free zone by the Gangnam District office.
Line 2 runs on the right hand track, whereas the Shinbundang Line runs on the left hand track; this is because the Shinbundang Line is a national railway line (which typically runs on the left), while Line 2 is a subway line (which typically runs on the right in Seoul). This can be confusing to tourists making a transfer here, as many tourists are accustomed to riding on either the left-hand track or the right-hand track.

이번 5월에 가족들과 함께 어머니 뵈러 갈려고했지요. 25년동안 뉴욕에 살면서 4년만에 한국에 가는거라 정말 기대했는데 끝내는 코로나 때문에 못갔어요. 이 영상에서 저의 집 바로 앞에까지 가셨네요...눈물이 막 나왔어요. 너무나 가고싶고 그리운 고향이었는데 이렇게나마 볼수있게되서 정말 감사한 마음입니다.

전 어릴적부터 비오는 서울거리가 너무 좋더라구요. 이런 느낌인거죠.뭔가 몽롱한.
비맞을땐 모름
정작 돌아보면 아름다운순간들이 많죠..매일 지나다니는 강남거라를보며 아무생각없다 이런영상보면 참..이쁘내요
그래서 전 항상 밤에 걸을때나 비올때나 주변을 둘러보면서 천천히 걸어요 그러다보면 한국도 참 예쁘구나라는 생각을 많이함ㅋㅋㅋ
저렇게 혼잡한 서울 도심은 여러 소리랑 빗소리가 섞여서 걷고 있으면 몽롱해집니다
왜 그런지 모르겠지만 저만 그렇게 느끼는 건 아닐거에요
I was in Seoul just before lockdown.
My son and his wife live there.
I would walk the streets at night. Travel on the train anytime which I found very easy. Many companies run twenty-four hour shifts. The streets at night were almost as busy as during the day. Whenever, I stopped to look around, someone approached and asked if I needed help. Safe. Beautiful architecture and Landscape. Highly productive people. I had a fantastic time. Seoul look like the videos. From Cape Town with Love. Thank YOU MUCH.

My daughter wanted to go there and we were planning to go in late May or early June 2021. Unfortunately not looking like that will be the case. We were so excited to go. Hopefully soon we will be able travel again.

I used to live in Seoul. I lived there for about 4 years. It's such an absolutely GORGEOUS city. I can't stress that enough. Thank you for showing the world. How beautiful this city is because words can rarely do it justice.

I love Seoul but the streets are not always clean, far from it. Unlike Japan, you have plenty of places where there are a lot of trash on the ground unfortunately.

The city is so busy, but it is very harmonious. People are all so courteous with each other. Almost a complete absence of horns honking in the heavy traffic. Despite being so busy, it's simultaneously very soothing, and almost Zen feeling. I love this. Hello from Canada.

The development of Seoul City is absolutely phenomenal, one of the best cities in the world👍 so clean and flash, it must be warm there coz I can see people wearing shorts and skirts despite the pouring rain.

Rain is usually spoken of wet, cold. But, no. The rain has its colors, its beauty. Colored lights are reflected in puddles from traffic lights, car headlights, like a rainbow in puddles. After the rain, a rainbow appears too. Beauty. You remember many pleasant moments. Beauty is everywhere. Only we didn't notice to it. The city is beautiful, even when it rains.

@@치킨레그 This video is only showing Gangnam station area which is only a part of huge Gangnam district. There are several more good spots to walk like Garosu-gil, Cheongdam-dong, Coex, Apgujeong Rodeo, Yangjae-cheon stream, etc

I took a gap year from my work and lived in Seoul for 3 months, and eventually found a temporary role to work there for a year. Best decision ever. If you ever want to take a break from your life, I highly recommend going to Korea. Such a wholesome place to be!
I did for three weeks in 2016. Not long enough apparently because I've wanted to go back since I left.
My dream country to visit 2021.

I am amazed by the fact that people are least bothered by rain. And also it is nice to see that Seoul is very very clean and nowhere water is clogged. While in my place, when it rains, we wait till it stop ,take shelter at some place in order to avoid being electrocuted, walk down the street filled with clogged water or struck by lightning.I feel they are all blessed
I lived in Seoul for 24 months and I had the best time of my life in South Korea. As soon as this pandemic is over, my first vacation will be Busan and Seoul.

i recommend to climb mountains.korean mountains r not so high,almoast 1000 meters or under that
u can go 3-4 mountains by bus or subway in an hour.and u can track mountains for 6-7hours.
it will be healing for u
after climbing, enjoy k foods and then u can go deep sleep

All the car lights flickering in the night putting off beacons like a lighthouse by the ocean. The sound of the rain so relaxing. There is beauty everywhere if you know how to look. 요즘 다른 채널 워킹 영상들이 유투브 추천으로 많이 뜨는데, 역시 이 채널만큼 퀄리티 내는 곳이 없네요. 영상, 사운드, 속도, 색감, 경로.. 무엇보다 다른곳에서는 찾아볼수없는 특유의 감성이 있는것같습니다. 어떻게 풍경이 좋은곳들과 거리들을 기가막히게 아시고 그곳으로 가주시는 느낌인데 사전조사같은걸 하고 가시는건지, 아니면 그냥 발길 닿는대로 가시는건지 궁금하네요. 이번 영상 정말 고생많이 하신것같아요. 완전 최애영상 등극했습니다. 몇번이고 돌려볼것같네요ㅎㅎ

update: I spoke with the owner and he told me he was born and used to live in seoul but hasn't been home in over 20 years. he misses being there, but watching these videos helps him see a little bit of his home from halfway across the world.

해외에서 산지 5년 정도 됐는데 그리운 곳을 보니 눈물이 나네요ㅠㅠ 신분당선 라인이랑 10,11번 출구거리, 신논현역까지... 저기서 토익 학원도 다니고 알바도 했었는데.... 대부분 바뀌었지만 눈에 익은 간판들을 보니 너무 반갑네요

제가 일상생활에는 큰 무리가 없지만 선천적으로 폐와 심장이 약하거든요.
근데 코로나가 폐질환 있는 사람이 특히 고위험군이래서 더 많이 조심하고 있습니다.
몇달전 한참 감염자 늘어날땐 정말 두달동안 한번도 집 밖을 못나갔다가 이제 좀 일상으로 돌아가나 했는데
또다시 감염자가 늘어나는 지금 또 방콕해야해서 우울증 걸릴 지경이었는데
워커님 영상보면서 대리만족하며 마음을 다잡아 봅니다.
