I have sponsored two other Gary Wright performances, "Dream Weaver" and Love Is Alive" here on Harri's channel if you want to check them out. "Really Want To Know You" has always been one of my favorites from Gary. Gary has a lot of history with Spooky Tooth, George Harrison, Ringo and many more. Thank you for the reaction Harri!!!✌✌✌
Good job, Ima. I also really like "I've Got The Feeling" from this album. I always get a kick out of your picks, as I've become convinced that you have somehow raided my personal collection. Keep at it my friend.
My favorite by him! Around 1995, I was looking for it on CD and couldn’t find it. I wrote to his website to see if it be available on CD soon and I got a nice answer back - from Gary! ❤
@@josephthomas3912 As soon as I saw "I've Got The Feeling", that tune was automatic in my head. Such a catchy one. Glad you enjoy my friend. Also, watch for songs from pncombies (@pncombies), he is my music brother on this channel and makes some great pick's too. ✌✌✌
@@NoCanDu Gary is exceptional and kind. His book "Dream Weaver" is an easy read and tells it like he is sitting there with you. Worth every penney. ✌✌✌
THIS FANTASTIC GEM OF A SONG CAME OUE DURING THE MID SUMMER OF 1981. AS A DIE HARD GARY WRIGHT FAN SINCE 1976 THE DREAMWEAVER ALBUM WHICH FEATURED ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ROCK SONGS "LOVE IS ALIVE" I FELI GREAT TO FINALLY HEAR HIS SONG ON THE RADIO AGAIN !!!! I SPENT THE REST OF THAT SUMMER INVADEING NEW YORK CITY RECORD STORES, BUYING THE OTHER GARY WRIGHT ALBUMS THAT FOR SOME REASON HAD NOT BEEN PLAYED ON THE LOCAL RADIO STATIONS !!!! OTHER THAN THE DREAMWEAVER, HIS 1979 ALBUM "HEAD'IN HOME" WERE THE ONLY ONES I HAD. BUT I NOW HAVE ALL OF THEM IN "THE RIGHT PLACE" FINALLY LATE IN THE YEAR 2010 I FINALLY GOT TO SEE GARY WRIGHT PERFORM LIVE AT THE B.B. KINGS CONCERT HALL IN TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK CITY !!!! ALTHOUGH THE CONCERT HALL IS NO LONGER THERE NOW THE MEMORY OF HIS GREAT PERFORMANCE WILL LAST FOREVER !!!!
From the 1981 album, "The Right Place" this has such a great melody fired by the drums. 🥁🥁The guitars are great, the synthesizer energizing and his vocals so lovely. It spent 17 weeks on the charts and was the 3rd largest hit for Gary, unfortunately his last charting song. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Imadrummin 👏 👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Gary Wright deserves much love as Todd Rundgren on my watch. They both played on the same stage with Ringo All Star Band. Think Billy Squire and other phenomenal artist had that tour thing going on.🤟🤟🤟
I'm really glad you played this one. I really loved it when it came out in 1981. It seems to have been largely forgotten compared to some of his 70s songs.
Yes, this was my favorite from Mr. Wright. For me it was the harmony of the voices and yes, the keyboards. I was 31 when the song was released. I was and still am 'captivated' by the sounds of the synths' in the song. And, when the drums come in after the 'swirling' vocals that is another 'high point' in the song. Just saw where Gary Wright passed away (80 years old). He got to do what he loved.
Love this song. Remember first hearing it in early September 1981. It definitely had a futuristic sound to it, but there were a lot of keyboard heavy songs at the time and earlier that sounded way ahead of their time. Thanks for your review. RIP Gary Wright.
IT'S ADDICTIVE FROM 44 YEARS AGO ........................ MARVELOUS !
YESTERDAY HEAR EL VINYL ................... CLASSIC 80's

Check the notes, there's actually no guitars were used?
A great song!
Imadrummin with another cool selection! Haven't heard this in ages!

The SUPER 70S was an anomaly. It will never happen again.
Gary Wright was great artist. A man ahead of its time!!! And you summarized very well... It´s like you´re in Mars when listening to this song.
Ima - I have never heard this one from Garry Wright It was pretty enjoyable. Great review, Harri.

Always loved this one. There was another good one from 81 too, Sweetheart by Frankie and the Knockouts
Yes! Excellent tune!
3 other great songs on this album, I Got The Feeling, Coming Apart, and the title track The Right Place are all bangers! Love his sound.
'Love is Alive' by him is a good one as well.

Watching your reaction, I traveled back to 1980 for a moment
🥰🥰🥰
It could be the best 80s synths from that decade. It's like floating on clouds.
Need to go back to his album Dreamweaver in 1975
I really liked Gary Wright, I would like to know if he had passed or if he is still living.
He's gone. Like most of the Great,s!😢
In this song Gary really reminds me of Michael McDonald.
This song came out in 1975.
