- Heard during Cairo Station, after Athens and Malta stations have been destroyed, and during Gravemind, at the end of Broken Gates.
Music composed by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori.
One of my favorites too! Thanks man! To you other guys, if you're looking for an OST song that isn't in the album and you can't seem to find it anywhere, all you have to do is search "_______ unreleased OST" to find what you're looking for.
The atmosphere and ambience just makes any song feel good to listen ....
'Beyond Hope'
Fitting title given what happens when this plays in game. One of my favourite pieces too
What actually happens?
@@_Phen_ when chief sees the beginning of the Great schism (covenant civil war) on high charity.
Oh my god I have been searching for this song forever thank you so much, now I can die peacefully knowing I found this track.
A message from above, telling me it's alright?.. beyond hope it is then.
One of my favourite tracks. Thanks
+Hypochrisy 117 Can you upload Shadows from Halo: CE, the version with no guitar? (I know it plays in the Truth and Reconciliation Suite on the OST but it would be cool to have it on it's own)
“lost with all hands” is a remake of this I think
This...is good music.
Glad you enjoyed :)
Hang on everyone! *BANG!*
All hands! We are abandoning the station!
"Uh oh...Hey! They're leaving the Athens!"
**distant explosion**
"Cortana...Assessment!"
"That explosion came from inside the Malta, Admiral...same for the Athens. The Covenant must have brought something with them...a bomb."
"Then they sure as hell brought one here, Chief? Find it!"
"Get the hell outta my armoury split-lip- Agh!"
I hear this as a glimpse into the Chief’s heart as he laments the deaths of his fallen brothers by the hands of an enemy who has always fought dirty. He couldn’t have been on Malta and Athens to save and protect them, and his inability to do so pains him. But, he now has more determination and fervor to win against the Covenant on Cairo and protect those he swore to protect.
Such a suiting track to play after Gunns gets annihilated by those two elites wielding flashlights.

In my opinion, the original soundtracks of Halo 1 and 2 are way better than the 'remastered' versions. This song being an example.
