So as you can tell I’m not ACTUALLY cutting my collection in half; I just wanted to challenge myself to what if I actually did keep only 20 perfumes? 🧐 what if you had to keep less than half your collection; do you know what ones would make the cut? Would they be all of your easy reaches or would they be the most expensive unique ones?

My favorite perfumes in my collection are some of the most inexpensive perfumes. My top 2 perfumes are both $20/each. They are Police Shock in Scent and Armaf Club de Nuit Woman.
There is barely any dent in any of these bottles! Life is so so short, USE your favourite perfumes! I have a collection of 15 and my favourites have massive dents in them and I am genuinely so happy when I use my favourites. The store ‘stores’ your perfumes, so there’s no need to worry about running out, and anything out of stock WILL come back in stock.
I do wear them… the issue is every week I get new perfumes in, so I don’t have a chunk of time to just wear what I have instead of trying/testing something new. This is why I’m going to go on a low-buy-no-buy for a while 😊 although I will still have perfumes sent to me from PR; the other issue is because I’m a nurse I’m not allowed to wear perfume to work so they tend to last me a long time:)

I love that you have a mix of fragrances, not all niche...not all designer. It's all about what you love and what makes you feel wonderful.

I’m sitting at 30 full bottles and 20 travel size/large decants. I’m actually really happy with this selection right now, first time in years. I’m definitely in low-buy and use what I have mode.
I have more than 200 and the idea of cutting it down to 100 fills me with anxiety

@@Xena395 i guess eventually... i have some vintage ones that still smell amazing... i have a chanel no 5 edp that I got as a gift over 10 years ago that still smells amazing... I keep them in a dark, temperature controlled closet so that probably helps
I am LOVING delina exclusif, I wore to a dentist appointment yesterday and got so many compliments!! It’s just so smooth and beautiful!!! This kind of video is so interesting to see what people will choose!! I love your list!!💖 If I could only keep a few, it would be zerjoff italica, delina exclusif, ylang in gold, si fiori vanilla 28, dolce & gabbana the one, lira, cloud 2.0, sunset riot, and the rest I have to really think about. LOL 😂
Isn’t it funny how scent is subjective? I love wearing scents like PDM safanad, Bvlgari Le GEMME ZAHIRA, Navitus Soir exclusif, Kayali Vanilla 28, Bond no9 New York nights, Frassai Teissendu for every day fall/winter. The ones I reserve for special occasions are Delina Exclusif, Dama Bianca, Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle. Sometimes I might wear some of these every day scents listed, for special occasions too. I’ve always been a no rule person my whole life, I do me and wear what I like.

Your ''basic'' selection is best of the best!!! If affordable perfume gives you so much joy it definitely should be in the top 20!

I have 8 full bottles atm and some samples. But if I could only have a few I would pick: Valentino Donna Born in Roma, Ariana Grande Cloud, Dolce, and Gabbana The Only One, YSL Libre Intense, V&R Bon Bon. I haven't found a summer perfume I am IN LOVE with. Really want to smell Ariana's REM and Vanilla 28!

Omg, we are on the same wavelength this morning! I just did an exercise to pick my top 25 from my collection and came up with 21! Was able to fit almost all in my monthly rotation tray. Now the question is what do I do with the reminder of my collection? I think I've got close to 40 in the remaining group?
What I did was save 10-30ml decants of my less worn perfumes (in case I wanted to revisit them) and sold the parcial bottles on Facebook groups.
“Sometimes the basic ones are the best ones” I am such a basic babe so this quote made me smile on the inside and out😊☺️
Mon Guerlain is a lifer for me, too and Juicy Gold Couture is also a favorite. I love Narcisco Rouge as well! Bought all of these fragrances at your recommendation. Olympea didn't really work for me - but Paco Rabanne's Eau De Metal (hard to find now) is also a Lifer.
I love 💕 💗 💖 Mon Guerlain, Florale, EDT too.
I have around 25 perfumes, but still don't know which ones I'd pick if I cut my collection in half, because I pick scents according to my mood.
Designer fragrances are a lot more harder for me to reach for for some reason. Things would be better financially if that wasn’t the case 🤣 out of your list I do like BR540 and either of the Delinas. I am yet to try Loubirouge, I will forever associate that fragrance with you 😂😂

You inspired me to do a full current count! Like you I got way into perfume in 2020. I’m at 35 standard-size bottles. We have 4 in common! Right now I’m on a hard no-buy to save up for my wedding this spring! I just snagged the new Guerlain Shalimar Millesime Vanilla Planifolia but after that I’m done. I feel really happy with my collection, although my wish list includes Spiritueuse Double Vanille and Delina Exclusif.
Julianna's Perfumes has a spot on dupe for Delina Exclusif and it's only like $55 ish. A great deal.
I only own 8 perfumes ATM. My two favourites are Florabotanica and Gabrielle Essence. My aim is to have only 3 signature perfumes that love. Florabotanica for summer everyday, Gabrielle essence for special occasions and I'm looking for a winter everyday one currently.
I absolutely love Miss Dior. I wish I had gotten at least 2 back ups before the switch😭
It’s still pretty accessible and decently priced on some websites, better stock up before it becomes “rare” and overpriced

This is a hard question! I have 16 full size bottles, 12 travel sprays and 9 samples. I count everything because a lot of what I would like to keep are in my travel size or samples (just want to finish before I buy the bottle). But not counting the tiny samples in my total perfume count, I have 28 full size and travel perfumes to pick from.
I'd keep:
1. PDM Safanad (have gone through two samples, I just need to buy it!)
2. Initio Rehab (same as above!)
3. MFK Oud Satin Mood
4. MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold
5. Balenciaga Florabotinica
6. Lancome Idole Intense
7. Chloe Nomade
8. Dior Feve Delicieuse
9. Le Labo Citron 28
10. Kilian Moonlight in Heaven
11. Aerin Hibiscus Palm (I think I first heard of this fragrance from you and I love it)
12. Angel eau Croisiere 2020
I have some new samples/travel sprays....so this list can change! I usually go that route and if I finish something and still love then I'll save for a bottle.

I'd keep born in roma, miss dior 2017, si fiore, flowerbomb nectar, and van cleef orchidee vanille for sure :) now I gotta go check my perfume collection out again 😆

A lovely selection. I’ll be trying Loubirouge as soon as I can get my hands on it. Have also asked for both Delinas for bday/xmas as I wore samples on my wedding day a few months ago. ❤️

The thing with liking perfumes, is that you constantly discover new good ones.
So I received the miss Dior 2017 and sadly it gives me a headache and runny nose so I will have to sell it! But it does smell amazing! My favorite Chanel is Beige! When I wear it , it puts me in a happy mood & I get so many compliments on it!

Have you tried The Only One from Dolce and Gabbana? It’s a slightly powdery caramel coffee, it’s like Black Opium without the harsh liquorice notes!
I have 25(full bottle)and then some travel & tester size. I need to declutter for sure. My everyday go to are BR540, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, Gucci Pour Femme edp, & Flowerbomb Midnight. I'm also really liking the new Cloud 2.0

I own 13 fragrances, 4 of which are minis from YSL. I will add Alien to my list soon and another bottle of Light Blue Intense because it's one of the rarest fragrances that I can wear in heat (I live in a very hot climate) that doesn't smell too cologne-y or sickeningly sweet.
Ilythia, which one is better to buy: Minuit et Demi or Orchidee vanille by Van Cleef?

Some people say it doesn’t have good performance but I spray a few sprays sort of all over including clothing and I have no issues :)!

I sold Born in Roma and Brit yesterday to my coworker. It smells amazing on her as wear I had an allergy thing w/BIR. I am down to my 6.
Lol I fantasize about this all the time! I have about 50 perfumes so little fewer than you I think but narrowing it down to 10-15 is my sweet spot too. I guess 10-15 covers different seasons and/or vibes while giving you 1 or 2 choices for each category. Any more than that and you end up with too many options. I imagine this is universal regardless of collection size.
At the moment I own around 20 and I need all of them and mooooore 🤭

Kayali Vanilla and Miss Dior are definitely in my permanent collection as well, this is such a fun activity! I'm feeling the need to pare back my collection big time. Last time I did I think I got it down to 30-ish but I'd actually love to get closer to 15-20. Great video!

Yes but if you store them properly they can last for many years.

You have to hunt around, some stores may still have it otherwise discount websites often still have it because they’re slower to get the brand new releases.

I own Florabotanica too. It's quite easy to find in Australia too. I've also heard its being discontinued. Balanciaga Paris Perfume I've heard is being discontinued. I never understand why perfume houses discontinue perfumes that everyone loves. It's hard to ever get attached to one scent now.
Florabotanica is discontinued. I say good riddance!! That scent gave me an instant migraine. Way too green for me. But still easy to find for those of you that love it.
