First instinct after listening to this beautiful piece is to smoke a heater and reflect on everything good in life. More importantly, the underlying message (my interpretation at least) is looking forward to the better things to come in the afterlife and all the familiar faces you will get to see again . Hot DAMN. Tim. Keep this stuff coming. Don’t sell out. Pure and palpable as it gets, folks.
I'm in awww of this man and his voice and musical talent and the way it touches ur soul and tugs at the heart....the WEST VIRGINIA mountains, raised,, and lived my whole life. It reminds me of my mamaw and pawpaw. They had 7 kids (one my mom) and they grew up on well water, farm land and the food it provided and sold the best to make a living. Hardest working people, till Sunday when they all would play their specific instrument,....guitar, banjo , harmonica, etc......for their jesus.... most beautiful music I've ever been blessed to hear!!
Born in Williamson, WV. and raised on the Kentucky side, so I was blessed to share some similar experiences. Tim’s music surely reminds me of home and his voice is amazing. Blessings be with you, Mountaineer.
Listening to such genuinely beautiful lyrics delivered by a fellow hillbilly with such talent and spirit is powerful. The cicadas singing along tell me it’s time to go home to Blackberry creek while I still have the chance to see some folks I love. Thank you Tim, and may God bless you always.
I just discovered your music today and I immediately listened to every song I could find of yours and you are my new favorite artist your talent is so amazing I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of you before but I know in the next couple months you will be every where and every one will know your name ❤ can't wait for your next album
I absolutely love this song. I'm from Eastern KY and I've been lucky to be married to the woman of my dreams for 10 years now, got married when I was 19 and she was 17. I would love for you to do another acoustic recording of this song and also post the lyrics and chords in the description so I can learn this song myself.
My Mother just passed away from Cancer. My cousin Shain is the one that asked you when this song was gonna be finished! It was not finished in time for the funeral, but that is ok I will record it and take it too her grave and let her hear it. Thank you Tim. Tell Shain Sizemore I said thank you too.
