In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Hestia (/ˈhɛstiə, ˈhɛstʃə/; ‹See Tfd›Greek: Ἑστία, meaning "hearth" or "fireside") is the virgin goddess of the hearth and the home. Hestia's name means "hearth, fireplace, altar". So my guess is that by Hermes making a hearth out of Orario it will strengthen/boost Hestia's power to disspell the charm that Freyia casted on the people within the city. At least that my thoery based on who Hestia is in mythology.
The "reveal" that the tavern owner being part of the freya familia makes so much sense. Syr being 'hired' in that tavern was no coincidence, and the owner saying "she promised she would not interfere" is implying she knew all along who syr was and was part of the plan that "Freya wants to mingle with humans" from the very beginning, the same as all the other members in the familia (or at least the significant members).
It truly is a shame the anime makes her an Emotionless Character. The LN does her much better in that we actually get a lot more (by that I mean we actually get something) out of her and then there’s the spin off LN where she also has more character. Wish Amazon Prime didn’t get the first airing rights to that Spin Off series. It’s partially why it failed so bad that it wasn’t given a second season since it was during the whole “pay Amazon Money to watch Anime even though you’re already paying $100+ per year for Prime”.
That's because the anime adapts her character terribly she isn't emotionally detached she's the best way I've can describe her is autistic very unaware of her emotionally and trying to understand why she feels the way she does about things she is very emotional she just doesn't express it plainly
I'm sad that you think Ais is a boring character, but it's understandable. Several scenes of her are either shortened or cut. And we don't get her inner thoughts like we do in the novels. Instead we seemingly just get a bland kuudere airhead, but she's much more.
Some small bits, most of what makes Ais interesting is the intrigue around her past. Her dad was the one who cut out the eye from the one eyed black dragon who is the final great quest of the world, but that was over 100 years ago. Ais joined the Loki familia as a 5 year old kid around 10 years ago. As for the hearth thing, it's important to remember that hestia is the goddess of the hearth and says that "typically, my powers aren't very useful in the mortal realm." So she has power over hearths and homes, and is one of the 3 Virgin goddesses in universe. Whatever she will do, it's clear that Hermes set up a plan for hestia to fix the problem.
Oh Andrew, you're going to be in for one hellava ride next episode. No spoilers, but it's going to be one of the most epic moments in the entire story so far.
Yes🎉 at last it came I have been waiting for this since the very beginning of this season, Ais showing off even charmed she remembers the lap pillows. Just note Ais intentionally knocks Bell out to give him lap pillows.
@@timkaithe anime doesn't really do Ais justice and I think I gave you a exaggerated idea of Ais. Ais isn't that far gone it's just certain things, beyond those things she is rather complex, the spin off helps a lot, maybe check the wiki on just Ais because I doubt there will ever be another adaptation for the spinoff.
Hestia is the goddess of the fireplace, the fire of the house, it represent the family. So i think the wood and the message "set fire" is all about that.
Hearth is also the home fire. In greek myth Hestia is virgin the goddess of hearth and home and protector of families. My guess is Hermes saying to turn Orario into a hearth might mean to boost Hestias power by turning the city into her domain.
Ais character arc is an emotional journey. The anime hasn't done a good job showing that and her acknowledgement of Bell because her feelings are internal. The way Bell develops because of Ais, her development has largely been because of him.
11:40, you okay man? need some help? hearth is what we can call 'fireplace', the place that warms the house, Hestia is the goddess of hearth, so make orario in a place where hestia is everywhere, we kind were spoiled of it in the OP. it is funny how it goes back to bell attack "Argo vesta", Argos Panoptes being the guardian and vesta being another name Hestia is called, so next episode is about Hestia doing something.
I think the message is to set it all on fire, literally, it explains why the wood is only being delivered to the outskirts of the city. Now i really wonder if Bell will confront Freya or if he will keep pretending he is buying the lie and investigate, lets remember Ryuu is still locked up in the basement Finally we get some Ais meaningful screentime, it was about time
I don't like Ais... but I'm happy that she's mentally slow enough to not be fully brainwashed. XD And here I thought she's utterly useless outside combat lol
I don't think it can be a coincidence that Hermes' plan is to turn the city into a hearth, and Hestia is the goddess of the hearth. Maybe he'll have to set the city on fire for that, though, I'm not sure on that front.
Ais saves bell at his breaking point giving him hope when he is at lowest point and because hestia is the goddess of the hearth for hestia to use her full power
In Greek mythology, Hestia is the goddess of the hearth and home. So perhaps, this is building something Hestia could use. Since she can resist the charm... maybe it can be extended?
I think he knows that he has to go back to not make the situation worse for everyone. And he needs the training because he also knows that it'll mean familia-war if shit hits the fan.
I can be wrong i'm not a novel reader but imo hedin already has a soft spot for bell cuz he already had a connection with him before the whole brainwashing part. So thats maybe why he wants bell to follow his heart
You think shes gonna have gone threw all this and he will be like "I know its all a lie!" and shes not going to try to take it further then she already has? Honestly i cant wait for him to say that to her so we can she the level of destruction shes willing to cause the city and its people just to get him. Honestly I think if she did this back in like season one he would chose to stay with her to protect the ones he loves and not fight back.
Ais is super significant as I think she is a high-functioning autistic and therefor maybe not as "charmable" sure she is low-key, boring and strange but she is maybe the best character. She is not part of the harem per sae, she is driven by challenge like Bell and has reached a plateau, she is this shows RacerX.
It’s a purification fire Hestia will purify orario from the charm only a virgin goddess is able to resist and break the spell of a goddess of beauty and love
I mean i love ais. Imo its so strange why u like hestia so much cuz she is such an annoying character.😭😭😭 regardless i also loved heding and hermes this episode
In my opinion, why the freya familia want to go faster to change Bell, is because Freya will lose her mind. She is in love and can t have what she wants. The thing that never happened to her before. And they think that she can't handle it.

I was going to say something similar especially with the images we see in the opening credits. It looks like hestia is going to have a bad ass moment

Ais and Bell are proof that there is someone for everyone. Even if she may be an emotionally detached fish.

Ikr Ais is best girl
Blame the director who is a major Hestia fanboy.
@@Omnicloudx13I have heard this but never found the source, could you tell me the source?
For me, I would recommend reading the manga, if they do not want to read the light novel
i would also recommend the Sword Ortoria manga

Ohhhhhh ... Okay, so her feelings are ...
Right, makes more sense!
.... She really could just offer lap pillows without the concussions, though ... 😬
I would love that lap pillow
@@timkaiIt's Ais there is your answer. Understanding and expressing her emotions is not her specialty.
@@toomanyinterests2271 there's levels of this, though. I'm an "Anime Only", so I didn't realize that she was at the extreme end of that spectrum. 😅

Ais is the best girl bro, she has always been! The fact that she does not show emotions is another step for character development
Ais character arc is an emotional journey. The anime hasn't done a good job showing that and her acknowledgement of Bell because her feelings are internal. The way Bell develops because of Ais, her development has largely been because of him.
I found Bell’s meeting with Mia leading up to his meeting Ais was much much more significantly written in the source

You need the manga for Sword Oratoria as it really gives emotion to Ais.
Ais one day she will shine a character.
The Hearth note is a reference to Hestia. She's the Goddess of home & hearth.
Yup
0:40 She always is plot relevant and part of it was shown foreshadowed in Sword oratoria
Though it's better to see that more in the actual main series
Remember sir and Ais were the only people he hasn't seen. Hestia WAS his hope but she didn't acknowledge him

Freya was working for mama Mia I think that will be important. We did see Bell, Mama Mia and Rio fight Ottar.
2:10 Still salty on Lili being hateful towards Bell and no sign of her triggering her memories of Bell
I guess her love is not as deep as she thinks it is! 😆
Or it's a plot hole.

Ais is the opposite of Aqua in konosuba
strong person eatin potato 🤣hermes ate alot of potato too this ep😓potatoes are power in danmachi
Okay, I'll just say this. What is Hestia the goddess of?
You read Is it Wrong to try to pick up girls a dungeon? on the side: Sword Oratoria. You know more learn about Ais Wallenstein.
She has a past a reason why she want date and i believe it has her family die 😅 so she is in the same position as bell with relationships
Does Julie ever go to school in the Mushoku tense light novel?
Good question as a non human girl
From what i’ve seen i think not she is a maid helper ithink
U cant blame him 😂 ais is rly boring in the anime lol
blame jc staff for turning her that way
This season is dragging
Sword oratoria suck because they cut all the good parts, please read the manga is so much better.
