    What if the boiler was 75000btu, would you use 3 or 4 inch? That would be abouve th max for 3" but below the min for 4". Is there a rule ofvthumb for this?

      C.2.16 maybe to use the smaller size?

      As you have identified, using a single wall vent connector does not fit within the table C.4 values, therefore, you cannot do it.
      You would need to go to a double wall vent connector for the boiler and use Table C.3 instead.
      There is rule of thumb (ROT) vent sizing method and a table sizing method. They are two different methods. You will need to know the size of the flue collar of the boiler to use the ROT method. I do have a video series for ROT: ua-cam.com/video/96qwE8EQUsQ/v-deo.html
