Huh... Well I guess other people like it, so it's not a problem, but I'm surprised you'd make this the one to go to Monstercat with. I found most of it good of course, but after the Heks EP and Sonder, to me it seems meh by your standards. Like, again if it was anyone else I'd be impressed, but for me you set yourself a very high standard with those. Maybe it's just my taste, but to me this seems shockingly generic dubstep for you, which after your more recent music was the last thing I was expecting. It just feels like your style is gone in this one, and I really liked your experimental and unique style. When I hear Sonder or the Delete remix or anything from the Heks EP, I can tell it's your music. Here, if I didn't know I would not have guessed this was you... The only part I really liked that seemed your style was the bridge after the first drop. The rest of it was "good" but not interesting or new or exciting to me. Maybe that's just 'cause it's a collab, maybe it's just I don't like Ephixa's style, but I can't ignore it. I really don't want this to seem too critical, because this is still high quality, which shows you haven't lost any skill or anything. You are still amazing, but to me, this sounds like it isn't showing your creativity. It's kind of hard to describe all of what's wrong, but I think one of the factors is the lack of detail. The Heks EP and Sonder were especially good at this, there were lots of small parts that came together to form a very immersive atmosphere, which made the music all the more enjoyable. Here it seems to me like the sounds just don't have the nuances some of your other pieces do, it's all very plain to me. Just Synth, random vocal sounds, bass, drums, there. None of the sound effects or extra details some of your other pieces have, besides the little laser sounds, but those aren't atmospheric like the other ones, they're very basic in comparison. I feel like it doesn't cover as many genres as usual too, going back to Mescalink as an example: first 8 bars combines dubstep with classical horror-style Harpsichord, then into soft piano chords, into EDM- style big saw chords into a dubstep/drumstep drop, but with unique and innovative sounds that I can only guess were done with Unison Phase Retriggering, into a future bass bridge; There is so much variety, and I think that's what makes it (drawn with Sonder) my favourite out of all your music. This one just feels: EDM beginning, generic Dusbtep drop, more unique bridge, but then into another generic dubstep drop. I'm sorry if it comes across that I hate this song, because I don't. I'm making a lot of complaints but this why it's so hard to describe what's "wrong" with this song, its mistakes (or at least, what I view as a mistake) at very small and very subtle, but there are a lot of them; and that's what ruins this one for me. Good enough to give a listen, but personally I don't see myself coming back to this one.
Really liked this reply, it's what I'm thinking too. Heks EP was straight fire as well as Sonder, the Delete remix, and Elevatia. I feel like Monstercat has something to do with this and because of the fact that they're a very popular label - right up there with Armada, Owlsa, Ultra, etc. Because of this, I think that artists are less inclined to do "experimental" and odd styles that people really like. This song is great and I really like it, but it's nothing special. Knock 'Em was super weird and I've only listened to it like 4 times but I still at least remember it. It had a vibrant and in-your-face theme that made it memorable. Once again, this is far from bad, and it's actually pretty good as far as first appearances on Monstercat go since most are unimpressive. I did hear a lot of Bossfight in here though and I think it went together fine with Ephixa's style. If Bossfight does plan on doing more Monstercat stuff in the future, then I hope he lets more of his unique style shine through because Monstercat has been in a bit of a dull spot after the Rocket League phase died out. The style is just so different I think it would inspire other creators to experiment a little more 😛

Xperiority _ Well he inspired me, I mean I was already making music and knew I wanted to be unique, but I started really getting into Bossfiht towards the end of a patch where I considered quiting. That was the end of that patch because of the ideas Bossfight's songs filled my head with. I ended up making stuff that starts out like another version of a Bossfiht song, but then I just let whatever happens in terms of creativity happen, giving it its own identity. One of my best pieces, "Totems" was originally like a rip off of the music on the Heks EP, but then started really becoming its own thing
