My color pencils Faber castell others use it and its so smooth, when I use it, it looks like a pencil or crayon when coloring in a straight line even if I darken it, it still has small spaces

Is it normal for colouring lightly to have little white spaces when you colour?? Is it necessary to colour using a lot of pressure for light colours if i want them to be smooth?
Hey Learn2DrawManga. I just recently got a big pack of Craz-Art pencils to color with. And all of the colors are turning out really pale. Am I not putting enough pressure on/coloring the wrong way? Thx

The second way is my favorite, it just gives the hair so much depth! I like the ombre one too ^_^
